Review by Legendaryscmt

"Good, but the first Mega Man Collection was better."

Graphics

Hey, they're the same. Now, I know many people will complain "But it's 2D! This game must suck!" Well, I think the graphics are still good. Just because the graphics are 2D doesn't mean you won't have fun. From the PS and the SNES, the ports are good, and still are crisp.

Sound

Now, when they said they would have remixed music, I thought of this as a plus. I. Was. Wrong. I think that the remixed music brings down the original audio. But here's the real kicker about it. If you haven't played the originals, you probably won't notice the remixes at all. But besides that, the sounds are alright. All the games have the original sounds, just minorly tweaked. Then we have Mega Man X6. I liked the Japanese voice overs. They got rid of those, for dead silence. You now get to read text without Japanese!

Control

Like anyother Mega Man game, good. Enough said.

Gameplay

Well, here's where this game really shines. The X Collection is 7 games, the first 6 X games, then Rockman Battle and Chase. The X games are simple 2D gun and run games, offering abilities after you beat bosses, new armor, and from X3 and on, the ability to play as Mega Man X's pal, Zero. To sum up Rockman Battle and Chase: a retarted Mario Kart. This game also has some unlockables in it, but not much. You can unlock art and music, but that's about it. The first 3 X games let you use your old passwords, just in case you're too lazy to play them all the way through again. Thanks Capcom!Other than that they're the original games. Wait, forgot one more tiny little thing, X3 is the one that's changed the most. Capcom used the X3 released in Japan, which has slightly different sound effects, music, and these anime introductions. But comming from the U.S released X3, I like the old Maverick introductions a little bit better. For gameplay, you'd love it if you're a Mega Man fan.

Overall

Good, but could be better. Could have better remixes, and more unlockables. The first 3 X games could have had slightly tweaked graphics, and they could have done voice overs for all the X games, but then again, look how X7 and Command Mission's voice overs were...Guess now we Mega Man fans have to look forward to Mega Man Powered Up and the Mega Man X remake.
