I got this game at a bargain bin at Wal-Mart instead of some anime games. Big mistake.

GAMEPLAY/CONTROLS:3

The game is a continuation of the Syphon Filter series moving on to the PS2 and man did they mess up. So we'll start at the beginning with the player creation system, one of best areas of the game. It's very comprehensive and there are a ton of options for everything on your character. Then you can start at a training level or go straight into the game but I like to go through the training missions so I can get used to the controls.

The controls in this game suck. I could not get used to them at all, it kinda controls like Resident Evil and thats a bad thing. The controls fit RE because that's a horror game and it adds to the suspense. Syphon Filter is an action game and when you can hardly move in a gunfight that's not good.

The levels in this game are big and frustrating. You have a map but it's pretty useless. The game gives you objectives but doesn't tell or really help you out in doing them or providing a sense of direction.

GRAPHICS:8

The graphics for this game do look good, one factor that brings this game up a bit. Another cool thing is when you're not using a weapon it shows it on your character. The characters are quite detailed throughout the game.

The cutscenes are weird, during one of them a guy throws something and instead of just panning or going to the item a little pop-up window comes in and shows it. The game does this through a lot of the cutscenes, I thought it looked stupid.

SOUND:6

The music in this game is just okay. It sounds very much like a spy thriller but nothing really sets it apart from other games. The weapon sounds were done well, they all sound realistic. The voice overs are also quite good.

MULTIPLAYER/EXTRAS:6

The online is okay but there are some glitches that do get annoying. There are tons of unlockable weapons in this game the only bad part is you're going to have to play the game to get them.

OVERALL:5

I didn't like this game very much I didn't think it was too fun to play. It did have nice points but they weren't good enough to bring this back from the bad controls.The overall score is not an average.
