Crash Tag Team Racing

"One of the best Crash games I've ever played."

This review is for Crash Tag Team Racing. It's one great game, it's Crash's latest adventure, and after almost ten years , he's still got it ! I would have given this game a perfect ten, but there's only one type of enemy and you can only play as other characters while racing.

Story 8/10 - A rather odd way to start a racing game , but here goes. This story is taken straight from the manual. Theme park creator Ebeneezer Von Clutch is in a pickle. Recently rated as the most dangerous and hazardous place on earth, his racing amusement park has fallen into a state of disrepair and decay.
since the dissappearance of the park's power gems, and his own Black Heart power gem, Von Clutch has slowly begun to lose control and composure over the park. As a cyborg, The Black heart Power gem is the center of his being and without it, he will cease to exist. The Black Heart power Gem is somewhere in the park but Von clutch can not find it alone. The desperate Von Clutch's final offering is the deed to the park itself for the contest who collects the missing power gems. It is Von Clutch's hope that this will uncover both the missing Black Heart power gem and the person that betrayed him.

Graphics 10/10- The graphics in this game may not be as good as Crash Twinsanity's (Crash's previous game) but good nonetheless. The characters are very detailed and look like they should. The surroundings and envioronment are absolutely stunning.

Sound 10/10- The sounds and voices in this game are very well done. Crash actually talks sort of in this game, too. Cortex sounds like he did in all of the previous games, and Crunch sounds like Mr. T , which is really cool since it fits him well. The sound effects in this game are so real and sounds exactly how it should. This game just keeps getting better !

Music 9/10 - Think this music sounds familiar ? It's because the same company that did the music for Twinsanity is doing the music for this game too. The music is really cool but it might get on your nerves after hearing for a while, though.

Features 9/10- In Crash Tag Team Racing, you can "clash" your car with someone else's to create a super-car and a powerful turret gun. When clashed, you can get behind the wheel and drive, or shoot other racers with the turret gun. Each character has their own turret gun, their own costumes, three cars each , and lot more. You can also unlock new features on foot. There are also three new racers to choose from : Nina Cortex, Von Clutch, and Pasedena Possum.

Gameplay/Controls 10/10 -There are some really good controls for this game. There are three different kinds of controls : One for the driver, one for the gunner and one for platforming. The controls are a bit complicated at first but once you know what button does what, you'll win first prize for every race !

Difficutly - If you don't really know how to play racing games this game might be hard for you but with some practice you'll learn how to play this game really well. If you're an advanced gamer you'll beat this game easily. Even so, this game has so much in store for you it will take you a while to collect everything, but this game is so fun you can't help but attempt it.

Buy or Rent - If you're a long-time fan of the Crash Bandicoot series and want to buy this game for your collection, then buy it. If you're a person who wants a good racing game but doesn't like the Crash series, rent it. Several people say this game is a rip-off of Mario Kart : Double Dash but they're completely wrong !

Overall- That was my review for CTTR and I hope you enjoyed it. This game deserves a 9/10. If you get this game, you'll really like it ! Have a nice day !
