Tony Hawk's Underground 2
Review by King_Brandon
"A huge disapointment to the Tony Hawk series"
Introduction
This is another Tony Hawk game. Although I've only played Underground 1 and this, this is a great game, if you like skateboarding that is ;). It's still a great game, but it's bad considered to Tony Hawk's Underground 1, but that's just my opinion.
Graphics 7/10
The graphics in this game are horrible, not too horrible, but not the best. It looks just like Tony Hawk's Underground 1 except it's a little better. I felt that the makers of this game could've improved the graphics and places/cities. Especially the pipes and skatboarding "bowls", they look awful. They look like gray sticks on the walls or ground.
Gameplay 8/10
The gameplay is great. Many more tricks you can do than in Tony Hawk's Underground 1. The places are however smaller than the places you explore in Tony Hawk's Underground 1. There's also alot less mission to do than in Underground one, and also, on sick difficulty, the game is easy! Though this game has more places, they're very small. I couldn't get past the first mission of Tony Hawk's Underground 1, seriously...but you can at least play as the bad guy in this! There's also more characters you can play as (without cheating) in this game, and some of the new characters in this game don't use skateboards, they use tractors, motorized skateboards, wheelchairs and many, many more objects to try to skateboard with, many new controls, handling, and speeds!
Storyline: 4/10
No storyline, to almost no storyline. You basically get trapped and you need to play a game. To win and beat the game you must complete missions. The goal really is to cause more damage than your rival, Bam. That's how it basically is during the whole game, you must destroy everything and win. The only part that's surprising to me is the beginning, I won't spoil that for you.
Sound: 7/10
There's not much sound, other than your skateboard and voices. Maybe some cars and some pipes when you do certain skateboard tricks with your skateboard. The voices are terrible, once I had trouble with a mission because I couldn't hear the man who explains one of the missions properly. After I found out what I was supposed to do, the mission was VERY easy to beat.
Replay Value: 8/10
Not much to do. After you win the game you can visit the places and cities again and do skateboarding tricks for fun. After you beat all the gaps, and missions on sick mode, you'll be very bored with this game. You can still play as other people as well after you beat the game as well.
Overall: 7/10
Overall, if your a hard core Tony Hawk fan you can buy this game. Not much replay value either. If you loved Underground 1 because of it's long missions and storyline, you might not like this. Although you'll still probably like it. I recommend that you rent this game so you know what it's like. In my happy opinion, this was a disappointment in the Tony Hawk series.
