"The american land of waste"

This game, when I first played it, rocked my world. Of course, since I haven't played a Tony Hawk game since THPS2, I was confused when I saw that the names on the starting movie where odd rather than Tony hawk and Bob Burnquist. But then I understood why after playing story mode. May I just say, do not immediately buy this game after reading that part of the review because it has got a few flaws.
When I said that the game rocked my world when I first played it, well the thing is, I completed story mode in 4 days. This meant that all that I could do was either start it again on normal, start classic mode which I think is quite rubbish as it takes the wind out of the other Th games or free skate and find all of the gaps. And I am NOT spending all of my precious time trying to find gaps.

Anyway lets get back to the good stuff about this game. The music is very old skool-nu skool if you know what I mean. Classic tunes and new tunes such as Green Day's Holiday are on the soundtrack. Graphics are always a bit dodgy when you are trying to make a icon into a playstation character so it is acceptable that the pros look a bit weird and the story mode characters look incredibly good. The controls are quite easy to remember. But then again, how hard is it to remember how to do a trick when the game tells you every time how to do the trick that you need to do!!!!

The thing this game has been criticised the most about is the fact that you can not replay it over and over again. This is true and it is not true. The obvious reason why it is true is because you can complete the game in a matter of days however, in my opinion, the Th series is a brilliant 2 player series, and you can never run out of 2 player fun unless you are a loner. And even if you were, you could always play online.

So my conclusion is, if you are a first time player to Tony Hawks, buy some of the original games so one day you can summarise this game properly. And also, try to ration the amount you play this game so you can get a bit more 1 player enjoyment.
