"Great game not a Madden but close"

Wow NCAA 06 is just a great fun game. I've had a blast playing season and race for the heisman modes. I really hope you get the pleasure of experiencing such an awesome game.

GRAPHICS 8/10
Good graphics on everything except for the athlete faces but mascots, bodies, jerseys, cheer leaders and fans but players with the helmets on all look the same.

CONTROLS 9/10
Very good controls but I didn't like juking with the L stick but I loved the Impact moves and hits. Although the controls are similar to maddens they aren't the same and are a little
bit worse. Not by much but still the madden controls are better.

SOUND 7/10
Not really anything special unless you score a touchdown which isn't too hard to do any ways. But the in game sounds and sound track isn't too special. Really just the same as madden with a worse sound track.

GAME PLAY 10/10
I loved playing this game in dynasty mode and race for the Heisman mode. In dynasty mode you just take a normal college team and you try to improve your rank by beating better ranked teams than you and having a higher margin of victory than the better teams. In Heisman mode you create your own player pick all his information like his home state and city then his position then you do a drill assigned to your position and depending on how you do on your drill you get teams to offer you scholarships or you could walk on to any school you want and be on their football team. You then try to do well with your player and win the heisman and if you go through enough years with your player you can transfer him onto maddens create a super star. The one thing about this game is its incredibly easy to rush so you can get about 400 yards per game with your running back.

OVERALL 9/10
Very good game its basically a college version of madden 2004 so it is a few years behind the madden series which is surprising because they are both made by EA.

BUY RENT OR DON'T BOTHER
This game is a must buy for sports fans every where. If you haven't previously played a madden or NCAA football game then you should look through the tutorial first so you don't get mad and pass up this amazing game.
