"This is a truly great game, but it could be improved."

"Hmmm..." I said to myself as I saw a Need for Speed: Most Wanted commercial. "There are lots of cars, and great amounts of customization... I think I'll get it,". Needless to say, my mom got it, and here's what I think of it.

GAMEPLAY 10/10

It's a good story. A long one too, so it will keep you busy. You are a street racer that lost his ride in a race and got caught by the cops. You are out and trying to become the most wanted by killing cops, beating racers, and making the ultimate ride. Well, the gameplay is awesome. The racing is great, especially if you have a wheel and pedals, like I do. It will frustrate you for the right reasons. The car selection is great, they have many good car companies featured in this game. People say that the customization is bad, but it really isn't. Trust me, if you are a teen and you get a Lambo, are you really gonna throw spinners, hydraulics, and neons on it? Thought not. Anyway, the actual racing is great. The opponents are difficult and the control is great. You pretty much know what everything does. Also, the backgrounds are awesome. It's also more realistic, as it's harder to take turns at 100MPH than at 50 and it's harder to get a slide going then just pressing a button. Police chases are the best part of this game. The police are actually SMART and it is hard to beat them. Also, the effects when you destroy their cars is amazing. There are also bonus cars. Of course, there is a multiplayer feature (not including cops). Also, the quick race feature offers you some pre-customized cars, and you also get your own garage to make your own cars without cost and you also get to test them out. There are no Ferraris or Bugattis or Maseratis, but there is still quite a selection for this game.

SOUND 9/10

Excellence. People say that the soundtrack is bad because it doesn't have any music that people know, but are you really gonna play a racing game to dance to it? The music in this game has music that makes you drive FAST, not drop your controller, become oblivious to the game, and start dancing. Also, the sound effects of the engines and crashes are awesome. Unfortunately, the one point off results in a lack of a system in which you can choose what songs you want played, so you are stuck with the full track. Sorry.

DIFFICULTY 10/10

Yes, this is a hard game. It will take you at least a few weeks to beat the story and at least a month to get 100%. It is designed to keep your busy for a while but you will still have fun.

REPLAYABILITY 10/10

This game can be replayed so many times and still be fun! There are so many different ways to play it! Heck, i'm on my second playthrough now!

GLITCHES 5/10

This is the reason why this game didn't get a 10/10. It's very glitchy. When you are riding against a wall with no abrupt ending in sight, you will just stop sometimes. Sometimes races don't start, and the game doesn't run smooth. Don't scratch this game up; I have played it scratched. It is horrible. If EA made the game like it was scratched, I can bet you a million dollars that not one review on this site would give this game higher than a two. Trust me, it sucks all scratched up.

LOADING TIMES8/10

It loads fairly fast. However, when scratched up, it sometimes won't load fully and there will be places on the map that are just blank virtual black holes. Also, when scratched up, it loads really, really slow.

OVERALL 8/10

This is a good game. There are some unwanted glitches and the game is a total ***** when scratched up, but that's OK. As long as it stays in good condition, you can have weeks, hell even MONTHS of constant fun with this game. Buy it? yes. Rent it? yes. Steal it from your local blockbuster? Not legal, but if it was, I would do it.
