"Another survival horror game"

Introduction: This game was created by Darkworks, the makers of “Alone in the Dark”(but nobody in the U.S. got to play this game, at least I think so, because it was canceled), comes a new survival horror game called “Cold Fear” read onto learn more about this game.

Graphics: 8/10

What I found funny about this was that when someone shot you, and when they shoot you they shoot you like 7 times and the bullets go through your body, what im wondering is how is he still running around with 7 bullets holes all the way through this whole torso. The one bad thing about the graphics is the blood when it sprays it like resident evil 1 for the playstation. The scenery graphics is good enough to compare to “The Suffering”. The character looks a little weird. All the cut-scene graphics are better than the rest of the game. The main character looks a little better though…

Sound: 10/10

half of the scariness was with the music unlike resident evil it just makes a scary small sound randomly so you would never know if there is a enemy coming up behind you or not and the lighting effects is scary too because they make it look like there are zombies or what you call them in the game exocels right there when there is really not. But the music was so low that you couldn't even here, the only time you could hear the music is in some places with enemies not all the places just some. The only time you get to hear the footsteps is on the catwalks…

Controls: 8/10

What I found bad about the controls is that you had to click L3 or R3 about three times before you could actually aim or crouch. The aiming was a little weird too because when I shot them in the head the bullet would hit them in the torso/neck part…other than those two things I found nothing else wrong with the game…

Game play: 9.5/10

The other half of the scariness only lasted 2 hours because after that you could tell when an enemy was going to jump out of a place. The main thing I really like about this game was that there were barrels or pipes or fire extinguishers all over so you could make a trap for any exocels that came your way. After you shoot the exocels in the head, they still swing their knives about 3 or 4 times which if you got low life then your dead even though you killed the exocel that just killed you. The camera is two different ways either you like it original resident evil style(cinematic style) or resident evil 4 style (over the shoulder) of course you can change the camera in game but the only thing bad about over the shoulder camera is that you can't run when you in the camera angle. I beat this game the first time in 4 hours, 42 minutes, 26 seconds and 19 milliseconds. I beat this game a second time in 2 hours, 55 minutes, 28 seconds and 55 milliseconds. So there is that much of a difference in how long it is…

Story: 10/10

You play Tom Hansen. It seems a Russian Whaler has been abandoned and is floating around at sea. You bravely board the ship to find out what is going on, only to discover unthinkable horrors lurking beneath its bloodstained decks...

Weapons: 7/10

The most unrealistic thing about the weapons in this game is that all the weapons just had to be cocked they didn't have to have a new clip put into them, I guess that is a good thing because you would probably die trying to put a clip into your weapon or adding bullets into your shotgun…

Replay value: 6/10

There is only one reason to replay this game. That one reason is for fun…

Rent it or buy it?

I would just rent it because about after the second time playing this game it would be a little boring. If your local video renting store has a two day rental thing there use it because of how fast this game ends and how fast this game gets tiresome but I guess it would be fun to play it at least once take it back and about a couple months later get it again…
