Gauntlet Dark Legacy

"A Great Game"
Introduction
This game is a lot of fun and it is a must own especially if you have a multi-tap and a lot of friends. This is one of the greatest role playing games I have ever played. You should give it a try. If you do, you will love it.
Graphics 7/10
Ok, the graphics are definitely not the greatest but this is an older Play-Station 2 game that was made from the arcade version. The graphics aren't too bad but they are not what I would call well, but graphics do not make a game good. There are places where it looks good but not great and I don't recall any real cut-scenes or cinematics so I can't say if they were done well.
Sound 9/10
The sound is awesome but it just isn't perfect. The music is done well and sounds great and is level appropriate. The sounds you make when you attack aren't very good though it is the same sound over and over as you attack. But you do get used to it which doesn't take that long and you shouldn't play a game for its sounds anyway.
Controls 10/10
The controls felt perfect and instinctive everything is how it should've been. I never once had any trouble what-so-ever with the controls. I am almost positive you could customize it though in case you don't like it though.
Multi-player 10/10
This is the only way I have played the game and it is the same as if you play single player. No story alterations at all, but this game definitely seems as if it would be less fun in single-player. Every single time I played multi-player I had
a blast. So anyway, multi-player is just single player but with your friends.
Game Play 10/10
Here is the best part of it, the game play. This game is not like most, you have a heavy attack and a light but quicker attack but the key is you throw your weapon even if it is a melee weapon. You also have special attack depending on how much your special bar is filled, if it is half way then you use a half special and when it is full well as you guessed a full special which is much more useful. You also have a multi-player special where if you press a certain button when you are next to your friend you use him or her to do a different special which means you have to have more than one player to do that. Each character's special is different including the multi-player special. This game is a lot more fun when you have 2-4 players and is the same exact game when you play co-op. There are a lot of characters which have different strengths and abilities but if you play long enough they will be the same once you get max stats. Also there are secret characters you can unlock and every character gets a class change almost every 10 levels like from a squire to a knight if you choose the knight. Also, you also get pets and other abilities as you level. Some of the characters are the Jester, Valkyrie, Knight, Sorcerer, and there are others that include secret characters. There are also power-ups like invincibility and others that last a short time and one turns you in to a chicken named Pojo that can shoot fireballs.
Over All 10/10
This game is one of the greatest role playing games you will ever play. You should definitely buy it but get the Play-Station 2 version because it is a lot better than the Game Cube version in my opinion. But if you don't own a Play-Station 2 or you have to rent it just get this game any way you can.
