You can change the video output through the display settings option on the PS3's menu. However, I suspect that this will not actually solve your problem, since if only one game isn't working, then most likely it's not a general display settings problem. If changing the display settings doesn't help then you'll need to give us more details, including the region that the PS3 and the game are from.

Info Needed

The above user is on the right track. However, the PS3 is region free, and it can play any PS3 you throw at it. However, if you are in fact trying to play a Pal game on a US system, you would have to change your tv type as it uses an optimized resolution. First, you would have to make sure your TV can display a Pal region resolution. Is this what you are trying to do?

Answer

zidace, you're sort of on the right track, but missing the fact that a US ps3 simply cannot output a PAL signal in standard definition. So IF you have a US/NTSC ps3, IF you bought the game from a PAL region and the disc has no support for standard definition NTSC, and IF you are playing in standard definition, the game will not work and there is nothing you can do about it other than get a new tv and play in high definition, or get the game from an NTSC region.
