I am a brand new PS3 owner. What procedure do I use to get a game save and then install it onto my new PS3?

statusI'm going to assume you are obtaining the file from this website.
The file you download is a compressed zip library file that actually contains more than a single file. Your "game save" is a folder with several files inside.
Unzip the file onto your computer or other storage media such as a USB stick.
If you do not have a USB storage device you could also burn the files to a CD-ROM, DVD-ROM or even BD-ROM.
Insert the storage medium into your PS3 and locate the save.
Then press TRIANGLE and choose "copy."
Viola!
