How do I tune....?

How do I tune a drag car, mainly the Camaro SS, for drag?

Additional details - 7/17 4:01PM

I've been told to start in a high gear, like 4, and use nitrous at the start by a friend and that seems to work, but I can't get the times that other people get, the best I've ever gotten was 6.44 and I can't duplicate that now...

Answer

You'll want a high ride height, soft shocks/springs (to transfer weight to the rear wheels), and do a dyno test, and note the number, then set the forced induction to LOW boost and dyno again, and look at the INCREASE. Play around with the gearing to hit your tiop speed as you go over the finish line, and set nitrous as high preasure as you can without losing control on activation. Set you'r rear tyres to low preasure and advance the engine. do another dyno and see if there is an increase.
