Soulcalibur IV
Question from Tomovski
Asked on: 8/21 10:39AMI looked at them and i started thinking about the benefits:
conf A has a switch button, but doesnt have other attacks, while in conf C the R1 is used for something very useful to me. What do you guys prefer as a configuration?
Additional details - 8/21 1:53PM
So actually putting in the switch button is a loss of power so to speak?

statusMy conf is as such:
Face Buttons are the same.
L1= A+B
L2= A+B+K+G
R1= A+G
R2= B+G
That setup works pretty well for me, but it is mainly up to you for what you feel comfortable with.
(Assuming you have default settings)
L1= A+B
L2= B+G
R1= A+B+K+G
R2= A+K
I feel this setup is the best. It basically covers for all buttons you cannot naturally do with you thumb...
hitting A+G shouldnt be a problem... hitting B+K shouldnt be a problem in the same respect.
A+B, B+G, A+K have a much more unnatural position, in my opinion.
L1=A+B
L2=B+K
R1=A+K
R2=B+G
this works wonders especially for taki people like me didnt put a shortcut for A+G thats and ez 1 to hit dont be lazy
Just to point something, be warned that there is no replacement for the switch button. If you remove it from the controls you won't be able to switch characters in the ToS and story mode (altrough it is useless in Multiplayer)
I do
L1= A+K
L2= A+B
R1= B+K
R2= B+G
Sometimes, it takes too long to get B+K out reliably, which can seriously screw over some characters. I find that having A+B+K+G is slightly useless, though, since two shoulder buttons work just as well without making it harder to do some other stuff.
I like may setup.
Square:A
Triangle:B
X:G
O:K
L1:AK
L2:BG(both l's are good for crit finishes and taki's air grab)
R1:switch
R2:soul charge
doesn't need to be changed for any game mode XD
L1-g
L2-A+B
R1-A+B+K+G
R2- B+G
