The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Game of the Year Edition

Crusader armor has the exact same defense ratings and weight of deadric armor, but can take more damage (health) than deadric and perfect madness. Each piece of the crusader armor has some type of fortify or resist enchantment and grants a lesser power or ability. Read about those here:

The defense rating is better for Perfect Madness and those have their own enchantments:

It's up to you which enchantments fit your game style better.

If the madness stuff levels with you, then i assume the same. but the cruaders can lv with you if u keep going back to the priory if u level up, and put it on the stand in the basement. heals all the magic and he armor, plus levels it to u. and u get all the extra crap wiht all of it on at once, holy arua, serene beauty, and something else. u can take mad @ss damge with it on as twingats said

I'm not for sure if either are better or worse. But, once you're done with shivering isles and go back to the first world map place. You'll find better armor then any armor you found and made at shivering isles. Because you'll have leveled a few times I'm assuming. So when you get back. There will be armor leveled with you. Which the maddness and the Crusader armor are in the end, not as great. But, I enjoyed decorating my houses with my random armor I didn't want to just sell or get rid of since a lot of them look really cool anyways.. =P But I'm sure if you enchant them well enough, you'll be content either way.

but you can always enchant your perf. madness armor at the arcane university to make it better
or just try to find all the matrices of the madness armor and preferably the weapons too

I personally think that the Crusader armor is absolutley perfect for a battlemage.

I beleive the crusader armor when worn in full get up is probably the best armor, im tamriel. now hsivering isles the perfect madness may give it a run for its money but much to the dismay of those who like it it has its flaws that makes crusader armor better yet the crusader is flawed to no one set of amor was made to be 100% better than another, i would go with crusader though
