You should check that the scart cable or whatever you use is plugged propely into the TV if it is it could be something wwith the screen settings on the ps3.

When that happens to me, the only thing that fixes it is wiping off my disk with a cloth. I use my Snuggie.

Yes try cleaning your disc to clean your disc there are two main options, one is to get some Metholated spirits and put a little bit of that on a tissue or soft cloth and wipe from the inside of the disc to the outside, and if that doesnt work go to BlockBuster or a similar store and ask if they have any disc cleaning machines.

I had The same problem all you have to do is sign out of psn go back to the mgs4 title screen sign back in then play metal gear online and you should be able to enjoy your experience with mgo ^_^

Try doing what he other people have suggested. If that doesn't work, then your game data is curropt. This happened to me as well. Basically you have to delete your mgs4 game (not save) data, and re-install everything
