Eternal Sonata
Question from Lan var
Asked on: 11/24 9:07PMWhat are the added differences in the PS3 port?
There's apparently two extra dungeons, but I think I missed the second one. You can't miss Lament's, as far as I know. Basically you will see more major changes when you get to Baroque the first time. Also, The item locations are different. If you read a guide that tells you whats in each chest, you will notice the differences. For example, in the Fort theres a bow for Viola in one of the chests, instead its now a weapon for Frederick.
Another thing is I believe the skills are received at a slightly lower level, because you level slower.
You also get the two new characters, as well as the costumes. Polka gets 2 new costumes and Allegretto and Beat get one new Costume each.
PS3 Port is slightly harder, and you gain less experience. It also changes up the battle system alittle bit. First, I dont think in some of the outside areas theres rolling shade in the 360 version. Also, you don't start in formation anymore, your starting location in battle is at least slightly randomized.

statusI havent played the 360 but i am following the 360 walkthrough while playing the ps3. I cant find much of a difference.
Polka has 3 costumes, Allegretto and Beat has 2 (I believe). Serenade and Crescendo joins your party, an extra dungeon called Lament's mirror. Different locations of weapons and items, extra cutscenes, etc. I'm only on Chapter 4 so that is all the differences I know so far.
Oh, I forgot: The story makes MUCH MORE sense now. I haven't even beaten the game yet most of the loopholes in the game have been filled.
