Marvel: Ultimate Alliance

It's no secret that the PS3 has a very limited game list and half of those games have been rated very badly by most gaming websites, but this game rises above the nonsense that the PS3 has broght so far.

Graphics: 9/10

Look...even if you were expecting much more from PS3 and its "superior" blueray technology, nobody can deny that these graphics are something special. Comic book fans will be especially intrigued by the wide the bright colors of the characters and stages.

Music/Sound Effects: 6/10

Well, the sounds are just a solid good. They fit the game perfectly but we just have to face it: nobody really wants to think about the OK sounds of a great game. To keep pace with this game it definately needed a wider repetuar of sounds and...just better music.

Story: 7/10

The story is pretty much what can be expected of any comic-book-based game: unorigional and not particularly intriging. It's just basically you, the Marvel Super Heroes, trying to save the world from Dr. Doom. Yeah, I know what you're thinking: not origional at all. That may be true, yet when you're playing through the action, the story isn't what you're most concerned with, it's the gameplay.

Gameplay: 8/10

The gameplay for this game is pretty good, except for some minor...happenings. Sometimes you find yourself sticking to walls, not being able to get off, but that can be fixed by using the portal feature. But on the positive side, all characters are unique to their own abilities and stay true to what they are like in the comic books. Each character also has their own special attacks and more than a few costumes. Overall, excellent gameplay.

Replayability: 10/10

I completely love this game! I would have no problem playing it for...I don't know...two or three hours at a time. Plus, you never seem to get bored of it. I've had it since its release date and have playyed it almost every day since then. And my plans are to play it almost every day for a long time.

Overall: 8/10

Let's just get down to the point: Marvel: Ultimate Alliance is a brilliant game that every PS3 owner should consider buyying. It has great graphics, excellent gameplay, and compelling replayability to boot. I love this game, and I hope every other player does too. Trust me, I am not leading you to a bad game. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance is awesome!!!
