"One of the best gets even better."

Ninja Gaiden Sigma is a remake of Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden Black on the Xbox. Now with Rachel as a playable character and some beefed up graphics, Ninja Gaiden Sigma has been the latest rendition of Itagaki's precious game to be released and enjoyed by gamers. With some new weapons and new enemies, the game keeps things fresh, but to be honest, Ninja Gaiden Sigma is such an amazing game that they didn't have to change much for it to still be an amazing game.

The best thing about Ninja Gaiden Sigma like Black is the fighting system. There are a bunch of moves that you can do. By pressing different buttons in a timely fashion, you get some amazing moves performed by Ryu Hayabusa. Like the other games this one has plenty of moves for you to do to keep things new and fresh. Of course the game is still very hard. This makes it challenging and makes you learn the fighting system rather then just button mash. You can't button mash in this game, so learning to do the combinations is very important. There are also plenty of play time, as the game can last more than 20 hours. Also if you've never played any of the Ninja Gaiden games before then you'll probably play Sigma multiple times. With action titles, the camera can become a hassle for most, but for Sigma the camera works great for most of the time. It shows how good Team Ninja is because Ryu moves so fast and the cameras can still follow him with precision.

One of the improvements has been the graphics. Although some parts do look like it came from the Xbox version, there are some parts that just look insane. The graphics in those areas are just far too beautiful. At that situation it shows off the PS3's power. Of course the animation is superb. With Ryu's quickness and amazing feats, the PS3 was able to make him look that much better. The music of course was fantastic. Let's not forget the voice acting either. The voice acting is one of the best. The production value remains strong. Then again it's Team Ninja and you wouldn't expect anything less.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma is a real treat for PS3 owners like me. Even though I played the Xbox version to death, I still found myself enjoying every moment of Sigma. That's because Team Ninja's game is such a gem. If you have a PS3 then you have to buy this game. It's the simple.
