"Rainbow Six Vegas 2 - The Single Player Review"

Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is a prequel and sequel all in one and even though it isn't the best shooter you will play this year it is still a darn good game. So without further delay here is my review.

STORY(3/5): While the story in RSV was good in its own right and opened up a possible really good sequel RSV2's story is anti-climatic and has a rushed feeling that can't be ignored. Disappointing as the story is it still has a few OMG moments that make it worthwhile. But DON'T get this game if you like a good story because you will be disappointed.

GRAPHICS (4/5): The first thing people who played the PS3 version of RSV will notice is that the graphics are much sharper and cleaned up than RSV's graphics were. That is not to say that the graphics are not without a few problems. Graphical glitches and slowdown happen on a farely noticable basis. Also the graphics are virtually unchanged from RSV which is VERY disappointing. So I say all this to say that the graphics while disappointing are not bad in the least bit. It is just disappointing that Ubisoft did nothing to make it look better.

Gameplay(5/5): UbiMontreal has given us again one of the most refined shooters on the PS3. Everything from the ease of squad control to the aiming is pitch perfect. Also in my opinion this game still boasts the best cover system on any console. Cheers.

Sound (3/5): Sound is definitely the most disappointing part of the game music is ok but it is hard to understand what is going on when the REALLY good SFX block out most on the com chatter. Better be glad for those waypoints cause if you didn't have them you would be lost since it is impossible to make out what anyone is saying during a firefight.

Length(3/5): Running only 10 hrs or less long the campaign won't last you more than a few days but it still is worth it.

Overall Rating - 3 out of 5

PROS:
+Superbly refined gameplay
+Fun, intense campaign
+Smooth Graphics
+Excellent and LOUD SFX
CONS:
-Anti-climatic story
-Graphics virtually unchanged and glitchy
-Slow..d...o..w...n.
-(Inaudible dew to gunfire)
-Campaign only 10 hrs.

So there you have it even though RSV2 isn't as good as RSV it is still worth picking up so I won't hold you just go do it.
