"For a good fun experience without the baggage, HULk delivers!"

Okay, so my score is on the high side. Is this game a 9/10? It's debatable. If you listen to the forums and the reviews from the countless people looking to this game in order to dust off Ultimate Destruction, then no. If, on the other hand, you never got that in to the first Hulk game and look for this to be your first foray into green smashing goodness, then you are in for a treat. Th

Graphics: 7/10

They're good, but nothing to drool over. Hulk looks buff with green veins a poppin and the city is well rendered, but it's more like GTA San Andreas good as opposed to true next gen good. Still, I like the graphics.

Sound: 8/10

I scored sound high because the roars and the explosions are enough to give my German Shepherd a heart attack. Plus the explosions sounds and the crushing pavement as you jump off a ten story building are very satisfying. I alos had Fight Club flash backs from Ed Norton's voice.

Story: 6/10

Yeah well, what are you gonna do. It's a movie game and it has the endless elude the army missions and rescue/protect/carry this that or the other thing. Nothing really spectacular. The only reason the missions are good is gameplay, which I'll get to next.

Gameplay: 9.5/10

When I was a kid I had dreams that when I got mad I'd turn into the hulk and jump fifty feet through the air and smash down with my fist into the face of anyone who annoyed me. I wanted to send busses through the air with one punch and be abel to climb any building in just a few hops. Sadly, I am not a professional wrestler, so these dreams vanished. But after picking up the controller and playing Hulk for five minutes, they were back. I have the feeling of power from this game I remember wanting when I was a kid. The gameplay is intuitive and the combos are easy. Because it's freeroam the possibilities are endless. In ten minutes of gameplay I body slammed a bus off a building and onto a pedestrian. (I have some rage, okay?). It's just fun. Very fun. Now here's where they get you by saying that UD was better. I don't know if it was or not. I never played that game. But I played this and I like it. I think it's dangerous to compare one game to another. This game is a movie game, and if anything, should be compared to other move games, which it crushes.

Other: 9.5/10

The map of New York is very comprehensive with most major building's marked so you san crush Trump Tower and then so see Marvel's office building, but it also has the fictional buildings form the Marvel Universe, carefully rendered. The Daily Bugle, Stark Tower... it's great being the Hulk set lose in the Marvel universe. As you play missions you unlock upgrades to make playing as the hulk more fun. Pick up a car and rip it in half, using both halves as boxing gloves. Rip the gun off a tank and beat the crippled tank with it's own weapon.... it is fun.

That's it. I bought this on release, taking a chance, and it really paid off. I can't see anyone sorry to have this game. With unlock-able abilities, skins, and a full city to crush, this will be in my PS3 for a while.
