"My experience."

After a brief play through of the game I decided to try MGO. Signing up for a Konami I.D. was difficult. First, the site would not let me register one for a few hours, and giving up I went back to the main game to finish act 3. After beating act 3 I tried again, and it worked, but after spending dozens of minutes adhering to their strict name and password guidelines. Afterward I made my character, distinctly Asian yet as much like Tomitake from Higurashi as possible. Being just like the actual game where you get items and weapons, but no stealth suit, except when you get to play as snake of MK.II you get to play in a variety of middle sized stages with up to 16 other players. Having 16 players is great fun as I learned today, especially when servers are selected based on your online experience. You can have one free character and choose his gear, but afterward when you confirm its existence, you can no longer change its name and face.

I immediately wanted to stand out from the rest and when I could I chose the shield and proximity mines. At first I focused on being a good “trickster” because you get to choose 4 skills to concentrate on. I had chosen “runner” to be a faster runner, “assault weapon” specialist, because I like Angel Kings, “CQC” for close quarter abilities, and the last one I already mentioned. But I had loads of fun planting the mines, except that all 3 of my mines have to hit consecutively to kill the enemy, which is near impossible unless the enemy is already dying. Therefore, to have more fun, I decided to be the shield man! I carry around a shield and a pistol and I go around knocking enemies down and then stabbing them (if I feel like it). I managed to do better with the shield than mines because I actually got 6 kills, 7 knockouts by using the shield. And its great to have your team use you as cover when going after multiple enemies. I also make a great diversion so my team can pincer attack them. It also reduces my deaths because I can block head shots. Yep! I think I'll be doing a little more MGO before going back to the real game, which helps makes both worlds even more fun!
