Mega Man 9

"The 9th edition of a great Man that has a Mega hit"

Mega Man 9 is a great game to play considering that it looks and feels exactly like the original Mega Man for the NES. I bought this just to try it out and I got hooked right the start. This remake Is really outstanding and blew my mind. When I saw that this going to be remade for the Playstation 3 and saw the screenshots, I was shocked. I thought, 'An 8-bit game for Playstation 3? How? Why? What? I am confused.' Seriously. I love Mega Man but I never thought that Sony would go this far and post a game that was made for an out-dated game system. I understand Microsoft and Nintendo doing it but Sony?

Controls - 10/10
When I first played Mega Man 9 on the Sony Playstation 3, the controls were very easy. I am not kidding. I was off and done with the first boss in at least an hour and a half. I was shocked at how easy the controls were. The controls could not be any better.

Sounds - 10/10
I thought of the sounds as the controls. The sounds were like I was playing Mega Man for the NES. From the sound of Mega Man beginning the stage to the background music. The sounds are unexpected from a Playstation 3.

Gameplay - 10/10
The gameplay is exactly how Mega Man for the NES is. Great enemies that make it difficult to get to the boss with low health or if not go back to the beginning. Mega Man 9 is a game remade for great purposes. I never thought there would be a Mega Man 9 but now there is. This game is not like any other Mega Man for the NES because Mega Man 9 has challenges that require skill and patience and a lot of both.

Graphics - 10/10
The title screen looks like a title screen from a SNES game but the gameplay graphics are like the NES Mega Men. The pixel texture makes the feel of Mega Man 9 like a 'pre-historic' game but that is what the creators were trying to do. I salute the creators for that. The creators have done well for a game for 2008.

Replay Value - 10/10
This game is really great that when I am finished, I am going to replay it because of 8, like the original Mega Men, stages to play on. There are many powers to acquire and use throughout Mega Man 9.

Bottom Line:
Mega Man 9 is a really great game to download. It is challenging on so many levels with old school graphics. Mega Man 9 is great for those new to the 8-bit graphics, those who love a challenge and those who want to want to play a Nintendo game on a Sony system.
