Review by DarkTritoch

"An AMAZING experience that one must see to believe."

Linger in Shadows is not your typical save the princess, shoot em' up, or race to the finish game. It is a one of a kind adventure through a real time piece of artwork. It is truly outstanding that a 6 minute and 50 second "demo of a game" can be so enveloping that you would "watch" it over and over again trying to deduce what the possible plot was.

Story - No Rating
There really isn't a true way to describe the story in this demoscene. It consists of an opening, the rising action, and a big finale at the end that leaves you wondering "what the heck did I just watch." This is one of the key reasons why Linger in Shadows is worth its' price on the Playstation Store.
Unfortunately I can't tell you what exactly happens in the demoscene, you will have to watch it for yourself and interpret the events that happen for yourself. I don't want to ruin the magic.

Graphics - 10/10
Amazing. The graphics are simply some of the best that I have seen put on the PS3 thus far. The modern artwork (classical in the opening credits) shows off the creators' true ability of style. They graphics so good, even you might be finding yourself rewinding time in the game to find the perfect scene to snapshot, and use as a wallpaper.

Gameplay - 9/10
The only reason why this score is below a 10 is because that the demoscene is so short, it hardly lets you get to use the special functions that you learn while playing the "game." Moreover on the special functions - the demo allows you to pause, rewind and fast forward, shake, rotate, and free the camera mode (allows you to move the camera around the scene). The functions allow events to happen in the scene, but I will not describe them specifically. The only thing I wish that was implemented was a few alternate scenes depending on what you do to the demoscene as it plays through (I know, it sounds quite confusing).

Music/Soundtrack - 10/10
For a 6 minute and 50 second demo, it has some amazing music that draws you into the scene so much more.

Overall - 10/10
The title may mislead you, but this "game" is superb. You get drawn into to title and the few characters that are in it quite fast (with the help of the dramatic music), and that will lead you to be playing/watching the actions unfold many times. The $2.99 price for this "game" is a steal, as it could have been sold for $5+ easily.
I will recommend this to anyone, as I have already shown many of my friends who say that it is cool to see a game play like nothing like they have seen before.

Have fun with Linger in Shadows, and may a few minutes of a demoscene boggle your mind, and cause you to replay this title over and over again.
