Review by MegahawkRaziel

"This...is the World Tour!"

Intro
At the time I have written this review, I may be new to www.gamefaqs.com, but I am not new to gaming, and certainly not new to the Guitar Hero or Rock Band games. I will try not to make this seem too fan-based, so…here it goes.

Gameplay
Guitar Hero: World Tour is played with controllers that closely resemble guitars, drums and microphones, much like in Harmonix's Rock Band games. The goal is to play songs by pressing the controller buttons and/or sing in time with the colored gems, representing music notes, and lyrics as they scroll onscreen. You can play through one-player career modes or with up to four players to beat the game in a band career mode. You can also play against others, even online.

You earn money to unlock new songs, create your own characters, make their guitars and drums and unlock new attire and designs. There is also a Music Studio, where you can make your own songs. You can even post your songs online, and download songs that other people post. These “creation modes” are very detailed and full of variety. 10/10

Graphics
Bright, vibrant colors, lighting, and a distinctive art style bring everything to life. The many locations you play in, from an airport launch pad to New York City, have their own particular vibe to them. Though the technical quality of the graphics is not the best anyone has seen, with some pre-rendered cookie-cutter objects and backgrounds, the general style and image is very interesting, nonetheless. 9/10

Song Selection
From Foo Fighters to Survivor, from Lynrd Skynrd to Korn, Guitar Hero: World Tour has a diverse music selection. There are over 80 songs, so…rock on! 10/10

Issues?
My only real complaint would be that, in the bundle pack containing the game and two guitar controllers, the black guitar controller was not very responsive. I am not sure if the batteries were not fresh, or if it simply does not do too well with Guitar Hero: World Tour, but if you play this game with others I suggest buying either an official Guitar Hero: World Tour guitar controller (black and orange with a long body), or the complete band bundle pack that includes every instrument.

Overall
Guitar Hero: World Tour is, by far, the most unique, innovative and diverse Guitar Hero game ever made to this day. It not only has the musical game play that became a big hit throughout the world only a few years ago, but also provides a great opportunity for people to cooperate, get creative and have fun together.

Final Score: 9.67/10 (Rounded off: 10/10)
