Killzone 2

"Gears of War Killer"
INTRODUCTION -
Killzone 2 is not only a Halo killer, but it also represents the power of the Ps3. After years of getting stomped on by Microsoft, Sony finally got back on their feet and delivered the true power of the Ps3. This is the game to show the world what the Ps3 is capable of delivering. It is considered the best looking game on a console yet.
GAMEPLAY -
A great game it is but I don't see it revolutionizing the FPS genre. It has all the basic FPS standard duck and shoot, with some minor new assets on the side. New features include control sensitive sniping, control tilting functions, weighted guns, wind against grenade physics, and a few more. Multiplayer is also pretty basic, except for a few added tactical pieces.
STORY -
The new story isn't as great as the first part, but it makes sense. Instead of being fought on the home planet, the crew now travels to, and live on the enemy's planet. They just fight their way through to the big boss.
GRAPHICS / SOUND -
This is why Killzone 2 was so anticipated for. It has the most realistic, jaw dropping graphics ever seen on a console. The Ps3 always had bad ports compared to the 360 counterparts. So many doubt the Ps3 can do anything better than MGS4. But this game itself, stands up for the Ps3. Two gigabyte per level is a mass achievement by Sony, and only is possible with Blu-ray. The textures, draw distance, colors(unlike some 360 games, Grey), blurs, physics, etc, were handles smoothly throughout the whole game. Except for some minor dips in frame rate during some intense fights, just a few frame dips. The sound is awesome, good voice acting, plus stereo sound. Definitely need a surround sound.
Play Time / Replay ability -
I finished the in eleven hours, which was perfect. Then after the campaign, there's some unlockables, which I wont name, but the replay value goes to multiplayer. This time around it's much better because just the number of players on screen at once with steady framerate. Other than the fun, it's not really anything new that I haven't seen before.
FINAL RECOMMENDATION -
Of course this game is worth it. It's the best thing to come out on the Ps3 since MGS4. This game is almost perfect except that there's no co-op. If you are a graphics whore then you must watch this game in action.
