first part of the Armored Core Missions FAQ was very positive, and I am very
glad that the FAQ was able to be very helpful to many non-Japanese players out
there. It is good to feel that your work is serving its intended purpose.
Secondly, I want to apologize for the long interval between the first part
and the second part of the FAQ. There are many reasons for this, but I won't go
into that.
Finally, I would like to thank Jeremy/Jerome from the Gamerary Games and
Hobbies here in Center City, Philadelphia. He was instrumental in allowing me
to make this mission FAQ complete.
Well, this is the last in a series of 3 FAQs for Armored Core: Instruction
Manual, Missions Part 1, and Missions Part 2. I believe this should be more
than sufficient to allow a rather complete understanding of the game, all before
the U.S. release of Armored Core.

We want you to protect a new AC radar that our company developed. The prototype
model is now stored at a warehouse on the pier, but for some reason the defense
system is completely non-functional. There is a good probability that someone
tampered with the system. Perhaps, it was someone associated with the Chrome
corporation. The success of the request is dependent on the stubborn defense of
the radar.
Since the enemy's exact goal is unknown, we cannot allow the radar to be
captured or destroyed, of course. We do not want anyone to come near the
warehouse until the security system is restored. We will expect some action
from Ravens.

A wild-running group called "Dark Soul" invaded our territory at Heaven's Lock,
plundered some battle tanks, and escaped. The plundered items are battle tanks,
and therefore we cannot let this party get away with this.
With great urgency, we want you to head out to suppress the group. Judging
from the direction they escaped, it would seem that the group has managed to lay
dormant in the Zarm desert. In that area, many mines remain from past wars.
Well, the reward this time is not cash. You will be paid with an AC parts.

We want you to look into a former military installation that our committee had
dispatched an investigation team to before. Our investigation on the
underground first floor has finished, but in the process the team discovered a
passageway that connects it to the lower levels.
However, it is equipped with security that is far stronger than that of the
first floor. We cannot overcome the security with our weapons.
The strange thing is that there is absolutely no sign that they arrived here
from the passageway, and it seems as if they are protecting something. Anyhow,
there are many mysteries that are still here at the installation.
We hope that the floor plan on the lower levels is the same as that of the
first floor. We want you to destroy the security management installation.

This is the Garu City Guard. Our city is now occupied by uncharacterized
large creatures. Well, no... We do not know if it is right or wrong to call
them "creatures". Any how, we have never seen anything quite like them. There
are extremely belligerent. Beside their own kind, they will judge anything that
moves to be hostile and will attack.
Many citizens of our city have become their victims, and there will be many
more. The creatures have been studied by biologists, and by examining their
movement patterns it seems they have a social structure similar to that of ants
and bees. If that is the case, somewhere there ought to be a "Queen" that is
directing everything.
After an investigation, we have confirmed an unfamiliar hole in the wall of
the office district. It is probably the nest. Your objective is the discovery
and defeat of the "Queen". If you defeat the top of the organization, every
member of the society will probably lose control . We will take charge
afterwards. We are counting on you.

(23) Guard a Transport Plane

Recently, our transport ships are under repeated attacks from unidentified
companies of troops. At present, we do not know exactly our enemy's objective
The targeted ships are always shot down, and so it seems that they are not after
the cargo.
They are instigated by someone who is purely trying to obstruct our
company's work. We had to equip a fully-dressed guard corps. Well, our
company's confidence in the guard corp was in trouble.
This case is yet to become public. We want you to secretly ride with the
ship and repulse the attack group.
And, as you can imagine, the battle takes place on the ship. Be absolutely
careful to not let the ship be shot down.

The experimental subject for the next generation of "Plus" escaped from the
research lab. We cannot divulge the specific details, but it seems that a
certain experiment exerted bad effects on the subject's mind. As testified by
the man we're after, he is in a complete state of confusion.
He is a former Raven. After completely raged about the streets in his AC,
the man mowed down a guard squad and escaped to the surface. The results of our
search confirmed that he is now on the roof of a tall building in the old city
streets.
If we let him go, we don't know when he will begin to act violently again.
We want you to rush to the scene and dispose of the AC. It is a regrettable
decision even for us, but there is no other way to deal with this.
The scaffolding at the scene is extremely bad. If you get involved in
battle, please be extremely careful of falling. The moment he escapes, he seems
to have equipped himself with our company's prototype AC parts. In that case,
proceed as usual. We ask for your assistance.

We want you to infiltrate an abandoned facility. This facility is a
research laboratory used by Murakumo in the beginning stages of enriched people
development. Several years ago, the laboratory became useless because of a fire
accident and since then it has been left abandoned.
The enriched people technology is something Murakumo has developed
themselves. The process of that early research is not at all made available to
the public, and there are many parts that are unclear.
Even with the investigation we have been conducting, large information
could not be obtained. However, recently we have some wonderful report from an
investigation team we have sent to the abandoned facility. It said that there
is evidence that a part of the facility is still operating, and a mysterious
capsule is left behind in the deepest part of the room.
Our squad tried to retrieve that capsule. In the process of retrieving the
item, they encountered a battle machine never seen before and came under attack.
The investigation squad cannot counterattack because of its weak armament, and
as a result it cannot retrieve the capsule.
Your objective is to retrieve that capsule. What kind of significance is
possessed by this capsule is totally not understood by us, but it may become a
material that will defeat Murakumo. We are leaving it up to you.

Subject: Giant Creatures
In the case involving the disturbance by giant creatures, the guards are
currently continuing a search for missing persons, and gradually peace will be
returning to the streets. I think you should on alert though, because after all
the creatures are not biological. To say the least, we are certain that they
are weapons made in the shape of living creatures. The reality behind the case
is that it is perhaps just a practice test for a new weapon. We can say this
much; the possible existence of these large monsters can only be brought about
by Murakumo or Chrome.
It is expected that one of these two corporations is behind this. In any
case, it may be said that the time is near for use to see the conclusion of this
struggle between the two companies. Well, later.

by an unit of this level, you really don't have the qualification to call
yourself a "Raven".

This time, we don't care at all about the carge, but our company's business
records kept on the ship's computer is the problem. Briefly, the information is
coded, but cannot definitely say that it is safe.
Although this is yet to be confirmed, we already have intelligence saying
that Murakumo's troops have mobilized. Completely destroy the cockpit section
where the recording unit is located. If you discover any Murakumo troops, you
must exterminate them as well. We don't mean for you to allow even one unit to
get away. Be sure to kill all of them. That's all.

We want to make a request concerning an old military installation southwest
of Isaac City. Right now it is occupied by an organization called "Committee
for the Rebirth of Earth's Environment".
It is an organization aiming to investigate the surface environment, and
that is really suspicious. They are explaining that their reason for entering
this installation is the peaceful dismantling of military equipments that
remain, but they are taking too much time just to do that.
We are in the middle of an investigation into their background connections,
but we must hurry and do something about this group. Through our investigation,
we discovered that this installation functioned as a military databank before
the Great Destruction, and there is a possibility that records from that time
remain in its main computer.
If their real aim is that data, then it is no trivial matter.
We must prepare for the worst possibility. Infiltrate the installation and
destroy the main computer.

The true character of the mysterious creatures that appeared previously in
Garu City has become clear. From our conclusion, they are not living creatures.
They are a type of biological weapon developed by Chemicaldyne corporation.
The corporation is a maker of biochemicals with co-operation with Chrome.
It is reasonable to seek an official declaration of their real relationship, and
therefore responsibility for the Garu City incident, but that is going to be
slow in coming.
Therefore, we have a request for you gentlemen. We want you to invade
Chemicaldyne's research facility, search for the biological weapons, and release
them all as soon as you find them.
We expect that all together there are quite a number of experimental
specimen stored inside the facility. If you release them all, we are sure the
facility will not be able to contain them. Even for Chrome, this ought to be
quite some damage.
It seems like a dirty trick, but it is that most effective method in
stopping Chrome's oppression. Naturally, you should not strike out at the
biological weapons. If you should kill them, we will deduct 500 C from your
reward for each one killed.
We will transmit more definite directions to you after you are inside the
facility. We are asking your help on this.

I want some assistance on a request I undertook. It doesn't sound
compassionate, but I cannot handle this by myself.
The place is underwater. It is an underwater base abandoned northwest of
the Aguria island. The content of the request includes the complete removal of
the party that is occupying this facility.
When I received this request, it said that it will be an enjoyable job, but
the party there is really strange. If I keep fighting them, more and more
appears. Just when I retreat because I get annoyed, they just completely
disappear.
The reward is 35,000 C. For some reason, the real requester cannot be
known to you, but this is the complete reward that I was expected to receive. I
am giving it all to you in advance payment.
For me, this is not just about the money. It is a problem of face. I
don't care who it is as long as you can fight. I will be waiting.

This request is for a very dangerous assignment.
A disaster is occurring at a remain from the former age, namely a military
facility that still remains on the surface even now.
This was previously a development facility for chemical weapons, and it
appears that someone secretly infiltrated the facility and activate the control
system. Some type of gas is released and filled the installation. This gas has
the effect of corroding metal, and naturally AC's too will receive damage. The
vicious thing is that all the mechanisms inside the base have been coated to
provide resistance to the gas, and that the defense functions are operating
normally.
From data that remain, it seems that everything is operated from inside 5
control systems. If so, we had better destroy them all. We are preparing
explosive devices. We want you to set them on all 5 control system. After that
is done, escape out of the base as soon as possible.
If you stay inside the facility, the damage to your AC will progress, and
it is very dangerous. Be very careful.

It seems someone infiltrated our research laboratory and destroyed our
experimental tanks. Now the laboratory is overflowing with the biological
weapons we are developing. What presents us with a special problems is the
large type that has the ability to multiply.
If they leave the experimental tanks, it will take no time at all until the
cellular structure to activate and begin to reproduce/multiply. By the point
the reproduction has started, we expect they will become an overwhelming number.
If that becomes so, we have no doubt that sooner or later they will destroy the
outer wall and aim for the outside.
We will deal with the small types later. Your target is the 4 large types.
Be sure to kill them.

Finally, Chrome was pushed out by a military uprising.
In our society, it is they who are now cornered. We are honest in saying
that things are at last improving. We do not want to unreasonably fight, but
their existence is harmful to the entire human race. If you do not crush a bad
sprout completely, it will probably spread its roots again.
We are "righteous".
Actually our company's best units are under ambush attacks at various
regions. The war situation is almost as we have predicted. However, we have
made one miscalculation. Our side is facing an unexpected hard fight against a
Chrome unit appeared on the surface. According to our reports, it seems to be a
small squad comprised of only 2-3 units, but their capability is formidable.
Perhaps, they are Chrome's newest units.
Looking at the direction the enemy is attacking, their next attack target
is probably the military base in Zarm Desert. We want you to urgently head for
the base and ambush attack the enemy team.

Several armed mecha entered a resource recycling plant belonging to our
committee. They are perhaps terrorists who were hired by some company that
misconstrue our activities.
We defeated some units, but we took some heavy casualties. That is there
we are asking for you Raven's co-operation. By gradually locking all the gates
inside the plant, we will drive them to the central blast furnace. By gathering
them there, we want you to strike at them there.
Naturally, the blast furnace is extremely high in temperature. If you
fall, your AC will not be able to withstand it. You can try your best to use
your topological advantage, and it can be said that is the key to winning the
battle. We wish you a good fight

Some time ago there was a dreadful declaration form the terrorist
organization Imminent Storm. It said that they have occupied the air cleaner
above Isaac City. This installation can obviously described as the city's life
line because it purifies the air delivered to the underground city from the
surface.
The terrorist group's demand is the immediate dissolution of Murakumo
Millennium, which they claim is the rightleader of society's corruption. That's
right. That's the false charge they are making.
Their recent activities have continued to fail because of you Raven's
actions. This is probably a do-or-die operation for them, since the group has
been pressed and expected a honorable defeat. We want you to immediately remove
them.
Still, the cleaner accompanies the expanse of the underground city. Be
extremely careful because it crosses various extended structures that are
undergoing remodeling.

There's rumor that recently an undentified group is going in and out of the
once Chrome military base facility.
The real situation is unclear, but there is evidence that they looking for
weapons. Although already dismantled, Chome was once a powerful corporation and

defeated Chrome troops.

destroyed a part of the facility. Our security squad immediately headed to
suppress them and had some success. However, there is a problem. It is what
the company left behind- the floating mines.
Ordinarily, our squad can counteract this. However, there are many mines,
and their explosive power cannot be minimized by performing special
modifications on them. Therefore, we are asking you to remove these mines. You
had better destroy them all once you find them. Your reward, as expected, will
be more than adequate.

TRANSLATOR'S NOTE: As I have mentioned in the introduction, I personally have
not finished all the missions of Armored Core. The last mission described above
is where I got stuck... Fortunately, thanks to Jeremy from the Gamerary (an
import store here in Philadelphia), I was able to get access to the missions
descriptions for all the rest of them. All of them are missions requested by
Chrome , and thus as it seems that they are missions that you get if you choose
to side with Chrome in the game. However, I am not absolutely sure about this-
so you will have to find out yourselves.

We are asking you to infiltrate a space station belonging to Murakumo
called "Kaede". Your objective is the destruction of a newly constructed
catapult. This station became unmanned after the "Big Destruction" and has been
left abandoned in its orbit, but Murakumo is secretly making repairs and now
turning it into their base in space.
Recently, we have confirmed that Murakumo is transporting large quantities
of resources to this space station from the surface. It seems that they will
again use the catapult to send that resource to somewhere.
We do not yet know what the company is planning there. However, the place
is in space, and that is important. It may be too late if we act after the full
story behind the situation becomes clear. We are preparing a shuttle for you.
Urgently head for the station. That's our request.

Head for the moon base "Loa". "Loa" has been abandoned for a long time,

Murakumo corporation, by making the moon their base, is definitely planning
something major. The full story is obscure right now, but you never know what
people who are cornered are capable of doing.
It is an extremely dangerous assignment, but we believe the Ravens can do

We just received a dreadful report. Murakumo has gotten its hands on
mankind's most destructive weapon in space, the super canon "Justice". Murakumo
is trying to reactivate it.
"Justice" is a weapon was developed during "The Great Destruction", and it
was the reason why all of humankind fled underground. If it is allowed to fire
upon earth this time, it will mean the end of our humankind.
The situation is no longer limited to the struggle between our corporation
and Murakumo. The only weak point to the super canon is that it needs an
enormous amount of time to replenish its firing energy. Even now, we don't know
how much time it requires.
One way to stop the canon is to destroy the firing mechanism. We plan to
delay the canon's firing by first destroying the system controlling the energy
replenishing . During that delay, we can break through the many barriers around

The location is the Baera Ruins, east of the Draguna region. It seems that
