-= 1. What's New -=
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Version 1.02 (1/7/02): Everything is covered within this FAQ, except for
information on defeating Criosphinx. If you want to know how to beat that
boss, I really recommend using JESy's FAQ (also at GameFAQs) for help on
beating it. Other than that, this is it for my Chrono Cross FAQ!

Version 1.01 (10/17/00): I corrected some errors in the Armor section, thanks
to James Hughes!

Version 1.0 (10/15/00): This guide is finally complete after all this time!
Sorry for the long delay, you can blame school and the fact that I hardly had
time to play often. I know there are a couple of things I have yet to add,
but they will be coming in the next day or so.

Version 0.75 (10/5/00): This version covers up to when you first enter
Chronopolis after defeating Vita. As a quick note, this is going to be the
last update I'm making until I TOTALLY finish this guide. That large update
will include the last parts of the walkthrough, as well as all the lists
(Enemies/Weapons/Armor/Accessories/Elements), so it'll take about a week at
most, then this guide will be finished! One more thing, I am not adding Game
Shark codes to this guide since there are WAY too many of them to list. Go
visit http://www.cmgsccc.com if you need those codes so badly!

Version 0.6 (10/3/00): Got a bit more of the walkthrough done with this
update. The walkthrough now covers just before entering the Sky Dragon Isle
to fight the Sky Dragon. The next update will really cover much more of the
game, I promise!

Version 0.5 (9/25/00): Here's a moderately sized update that I've made during
the past few days. The walkthrough now covers up to the return to Viper
Manor. Expect the next few updates or so to finish up the walkthrough and the
addition of the "non-walkthrough" sections will begin.

Version 0.4 (9/18/00): Look, I'm really sorry about the lack of updates I've
been making lately. It's all because of the fact I have school and I hardly
have time to play the game and work on this guide. However, this guide will
be worked on daily, but won't be publicly updated as often. Sorry, but just
try to bear with me here.

Version 0.35 (9/10/00): I updated the walkthrough section a bit more with
this new update. The guide now covers all the way up to the second save point
in the Water Dragon Isle at Another World. Expect bigger updates to the
walkthrough to appear in the next couple of guide updates!

Version 0.3 (9/2/00): This update includes a walkthrough all the way up to
when you return to Termina after Guldove. I also included guides for all 3
paths to Viper Manor, as well as if you chose to save Kid or not. Expect a
larger portion of the walkthrough to be added with the next update!

Version 0.2 (8/28/00): I added some more of the walkthrough, as well as a
Bosses section and a Shops section. My walkthrough is up to Viper Manor with
Guile as your guide. Next update will include a guide for the other 2 paths
(Nikki and Pierre as your guides).

Version 0.1 (8/21/00): The first and VERY incomplete version of this guide! I
only covered the first parts of the game, but that's because I wanted to
write for this game and I wanted to make sure my FAQ is posted to "save my
spot" before the crowds oversaturate the game. This guide will be completed
at some point, so please be patient since I'm playing the game as I write the
walkthrough.

-= 2. Introduction -=
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Chrono Cross is the long-awaited sequel to the legendary game, Chrono
Trigger, for the Super Nintendo. This new sequel is for the Sony Playstation.
In this game, there is a whole new battle system, a large cast of characters,
and many different things to choose from. Because of the many characters you
can recruit throughout the game, there are many different "paths" you can
take through certain parts of the game. However, my walkthrough is going to
be written the way I played the game, but I will also try to explain what
will happen if you do/do not recruit a certain character at a certain time. I
don't want to make this a "strict" guide, I'm just going to write the
walkthrough and assume you have the characters I have chosen throughout the
game, and that's all.

-= 4. Battle System Guide -=
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

To start, the battle system used in Chrono Cross is pretty unique and pretty
difficult to get used to. There are 4 different things you can do during the
battle when it's your character(s) turn in battle: you can attack, use an
element, defend, or try to run away. Each character also has a Stamina Meter
in their on-screen status box during the battle. I'll explain everything
you'll need to know about getting through battles below.

=========
Attacking
=========

When you select the "Attack" command, you'll be given the option to pick a
target for your attack. After you pick that target, you'll be given a list of
4 different options. The first 3 options will be for physically attacking and
the last option is if you want to use an Element to attack. As for those top
three options, you'll be able to pick the degree of damage you'll cause to
the enemy if your attack connects. Option #1 is for a Weak attack, #2 is for
a Strong attack, and #3 for a Fierce attack. Each one has a number percentage
next to it, which tells you the chances that your attack at that level will
connect with the enemy and cause damage. It's recommended that you start out
with using a Weak attack because the percentage will raise for the much
stronger levels of attacking. Also, whenever you attack, you will lose
Stamina points depending on the level of your attack. For instance, you'll
lose one Stamina point if you use a Weak attack, 2 points for a Strong
attack, and 3 points for a Fierce attack. When an attack of a specific level
connects with the monster, your Power Level will rise that many points (1
point for Weak, 2 for Strong, and 3 for Fierce). As that meter rises, you'll
be able to use Elements to attack.

===============
Element Attacks
===============

Your second option will be to use an element to attack the enemy/enemies in
the battlefield or heal your party. Elements can be considered as magic
spells, and you can only use them when the Power Level rises. Each element
has a specific color known as an Innate, and each element can be performed
only when the Power Level fills to the element's level. It takes 7 Stamina
points to use an element, plus it'll empty your Power Level depending on the
level of the element you used.

===========
Tech Skills
===========

With the addition of Elements, each character has his/her own unique
abilities, known as Tech Skills. They're gained as you win battles and gain
Star Levels, and they permanently stay in your character's Element grid after
allocated. These skills are usually strong attacks and are very good against
bosses. There are also Double and Triple Tech Skills that you can perform
with certain groups of characters in your party, provided they have stamina
remaining and have a high enough Power Level. Here's a quick list of what's
required to perform a Double/Triple Tech Skill:

Double Tech Skills
------------------

Characters Level Tech Name Innate
---------- ----- --------- ------
Serge/Glenn 3/3 X-Strike Red
Kid/Mel 3/3 DoubleTake Red
Guile/Sneff 5/7 SwordStorm Black
Norris/Grobyc 7/7 PitchBlack Black
Radius/Viper 7/5 VitalForce White
Karsh/Zoah 3/7 DragonSpike Green
Nikki/Miki 7/7 Flamenco Red
Draggy/Leah 7/7 DraggyRider Yellow
NeoFio/Turnip 7/7 TossedSalad Green

Triple Tech Skills
------------------

Characters Level Tech Name Innate
---------- ----- --------- ------
Serge/Leena/Razzly 5/7/7 DeltaAttack White
Serge/Kid/Sprigg 7/5/4 Z-Slash Blue

Note: For the Z-Slash Triple Tech to work, you must have Sprigg Doppelgang
into Slash and be at Level 4.

=========
Defending
=========

Well, there's nothing to explain here except for the fact that when you're
attacked while defending, you only sustain about half the amount of damage
you'd take if you weren't defending. You must have at least one Stamina point
in order to defend, or else you're out of luck using this option in battle.

============
Running Away
============

As in pretty much all other RPG games, you'll be given the option to run away
from the battle. You use this option to run away from the enemy or enemies if
you don't want to fight in the battle. That's all I can say about this option
because it doesn't need much explaining.

==============
Stamina Points
==============

An important aspect of each battle is the Stamina points each character has.
Each time you attack or use an element, you lose Stamina points, whether or
not your attacks connect. You start off with 7 Stamina points in a battle,
and when you have less than one point left, you can't do anything in the
battle until you regain those Stamina points. You regain points each time
another ally/enemy attacks or uses an element in battle. If someone uses a
Fierce attack, you'll regain 3 Stamina points, regardless if that attack
connects or not. The same thing goes if someone else uses a Strong or Weak
attack (you'll regain 2 or 1 Stamina point, respectively). If someone uses an
element, you'll also regain Stamina points (I don't know the exact amount
though). To sum it up, you need these Stamina points in order to do anything
in battle, therefore they're probably the most important aspect of the battle
system.

=======
Innates
=======

The classes that each character is classified under, known as Innates, are
also important to the outcome of each battle. The six classes are: Green,
Red, Yellow, Blue, White, and Black. All the elements have a specific Innate,
as does each character and enemy in the game. The Innates are made up of 3
pairs: White and Black, Yellow and Green, and Red and Blue. Say someone with
an element with a Blue Innate attacks an enemy with the Red Innate, that
enemy will lose more Hit Points because Blue is the opposite of Red and
elements with those Innates do more damage to their opposites than any other
Innate. There is a graph in the upper-left corner of the screen during battle
known as the "Field Effect". This chart is split into 3 sections, and the
smallest one is to the right. Each time an element is used to attack and it
connects, the Innate color of that element will fill in the right-most
section of the Field Effect graph. When that graph is filled in entirely with
one Innate color, any element attack of the color in that graph will be much
stronger. However, any enemy/ally with the opposite Innate color will become
weaker and attacks by the dominating color will cause much more damage. If
you want to use a Summoning Element, all 3 sections of the Field Effect graph
must be the same color. You'll consume a Star Level each time you use
Summoning Element as well.

============
After Battle
============

When you defeat all the enemies and complete the battle, you'll be given
three options. You can either use the remaining power in your character(s)
Power Levels to automatically use a curing element and heal the party. You
can choose to heal like the above option, but you'll also be able to use
Consumable Elements to do so. You'll also have the option not to heal the
party and exit. There's no point in not healing because the power in the
Power Levels don't carry on to the next battle, so make sure to always heal
after each battle!

==============
Status Effects
==============

During battle, there can be many different ailments caused by being attacked
with a certain Element. Here is a full list of the different effects, the
Innate color of that effect, and what they do:

Status Effects That Remain Even After Battle
--------------------------------------------

(A Consumable Element of the same color as the ailment must be used to cure
it)

Status Property Effects
------ -------- -------
Poison Green Loss of HP in and out of battle
Burn Red Defense decreases in battle; 2x damage outside battle
Sprain Yellow Attack decreases in battle; can't run outside battle
Flu Blue Stamina recovery rate decreases in battle; control
                      becomes difficult outside battle

Status Effects That Occur Only During Battle
--------------------------------------------

(Wears off in time, or a Consumable Element of the same color can cure it)

Status Property Effects
------ -------- -------
Afraid Green Become more likely to get hit by critical hits in
                      battle
Confused Red Loss of control; you attack allies and enemies in
                      battle
Dizzy Yellow Chances of avoiding enemy attacks decrease
Frozen Blue Cannot move at all in battle
Fatigued White You'll need more stamina in battle to perform any
                      actions
Asleep White Defense decreases; can't do anything in battle
Darkness Black Chances of hitting the enemy decrease
Cursed Black You lose stamina each time you're attacked in battle
E. Lock All You'll be unable to use elements of the corresponding
Color (E. Lock is an abbreviation of Unable to use
                      Elements)

-= 5. Walkthrough -=
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Dream Dungeon
-------------

You start this adventure inside a place known as Dream Dungeon. After the
pretty cool FMV at the opening sequence ends, you'll go inside the actual
dungeon. An elevator will rise up and standing on it will be Serge, Kid, and
a random third member. After the short conversation here ends and the
elevator door closes, take control and head left and down the hallway into
the next room. You'll appear on a balcony where you'll see a purplish
crystal-like thing in the room below. After Kid complains about not being
able to reach it, head back out of the room and go up and right. Follow the
path down and right into the following room and head down along the path. Go
left up the steps and continue down, then fight the Cybot you encounter if
you want. It would help to get you used to the battle system if you fought it
now. Next, continue down the steps and go down the path into the next room.
Go left up the steps and into the next room, and then follow the path up and
left. Don't go up the first set of steps to the right of the path just yet.
Continue up and left past the second set of steps and into the next room.

In here, go up to the altar and press X to make that purplish crystal in
front of you disappear. Leave the room after that and go down the path to
that set of steps leading up to the right ledge with another Cybot. Go up
those steps and fight the Cybot if you want, otherwise continue up and left
across a bridge onto a purplish circular ledge. Stand on it and press X to be
teleported upward to a higher area. When you reach the higher ledge, Kid will
talk for a moment and the third character will comment. After the
conversation ends, walk up to the door and watch the freaky FMV after this.
After all that, you'll end up in Serge's house in Arni Village.

Arni Village (Home World)
-------------------------

After the FMV, you'll see that someone is telling you (Serge) to wake up.
After Serge gets off the bed and opens the windows, go to the bed and press X
to find the secret savings, which is 200G. Also, check out the pots in the
left side of the room to find a hidden Tablet Element. Now, walk down out of
your room and talk to your mother, Marge, in the next room. She'll tell you
that you've slept really late and that Leena was looking for you. Marge will
also remind you of a promise that you made, which was that you'll see Leena
that day. Now, go right out of the house into the actual village. Once
outside, head left and talk to the man in the far-left. When he asks for your
opinion of the sawfish, pick the answer "You're probably right!" and he'll
give you a Komodo Scale after he finishes talking. Now, head right along the
upper path and talk to the small boy there. After he tells you about his
little problem, open the Key Items menu and select the Komodo Scale to give
it to the boy for free (don't charge him money for it!). He'll give you an
Uplift Element for your help, then give you a hint about Poshul. After he's
done, go up and into the house just north of the boy. Go right through the
house and down the stairs into the basement. Talk to the man in the basement,
then after he's done rambling for a while, he'll give you a Shark Tooth. Now,
go left up the ramp and continue left out of the house. Back outside, head up
the path to the pier and talk to Leena (she's the one standing up). Talk to
her and she'll ask you to get some Komodo Scales from Lizard Rock because she
wants a necklace. Agree to get her the scales, then go up and off the pier.

Now, head down and enter the first house to your left. Go up into the house
and check the buckets next to the plant in the back to get a PhotonRay
Element. Now, exit the house and head straight down through the center of
town. Go down the ramp and search the cart next to the old lady to get a
Shellfish Frame. Now, head left and into the next area. There, talk to Radius
(the old man with the stick) and you'll enter a training battle against him.
You'll learn about using Elements and general rules about fighting in the
game. I recommend it to those who wish to get used to the flow of battle in
this game. After that, go left and check out the small bucket to the right of
the steps to get an AquaBeam Element. Then, enter the house and go down and
left into the smaller room. Inspect the small frame on the wall with the
symbol to get a Cure Element as well. Now, exit the house and go right to the
previous village area and get to the right side of the village. Go up into
the building to the right of the small boy you helped before and enter the
restaurant. Go right and up to the barrel, then check it out 4 times to get
an Uplift Element. Then, go up the steps into the back room and go up to the
sheet on the floor and press X to get a Heckran Bone. Also, open the chest on
the right shelf to get an Ivory Helmet. Be sure to equip that helmet right
away! Now, go down into the previous room and continue down out of the
restaurant. Then, follow the path down and right to exit Arni Village and
appear on the World Map.

As soon as you enter the World Map, access the menu screen and save your
game, then head up and left from the village to reach Cape Howl. When you
reach it (as well as any other area from the World Map in the game), press X
to enter the area.

Cape Howl (Home World)
----------------------

In this area, there are small holes in the ground from which geysers erupt.
Try not to step across those holes when the geysers are erupting because
you'll lose HP if you do that. Anyway, head up the path, then left and open
the chest to get a Heal Element. Then, go right and up along the path until
you can go left again. Follow the path left and open another chest to get a
Bone. Now, go back right and continue up the path to the next area. There, go
up the path to the peak and press X by the rock to make Serge carve "Serge
and Leena forever..." on the rock. After that, go back down into the previous
area, then continue down and out of Cape Howl.

Back on the World Map, head down and left and enter the Lizard Rock area.

Lizard Rock (Home World)
------------------------

When you enter Lizard Rock, walk up to the large boulder in the path and
press X to push it into the water so it's out of your way. Then, follow the
path down and right, and then open the chest to get a Fireball Element. Be
sure to allocate it to Serge as soon as you get it. Now, go directly to the
left and you'll find the first Komodo Pup just standing there in the path.
Approach it to make it run into the cave. Then, get to the left side of the
boulder to the left of the cave and press X to push it in front of the cave,
thus blocking the entrance. Now, go back right and up, then left to find that
Komodo Pup again. Go near it to make it run back into the cave. Quickly run
into that cave and fight it since it's trapped. Use regular attacks to boost
up your Power Level, and then use the Fireball Element to attack the Komodo
Pup. After you win this fight and collect the Komodo Scale it leaves behind,
head left along the path into the next area. There, follow the first path
down and left to the wooden bridge. Before you cross it, go down the nearby
ladder and open the chest to the north in the water to get a Tablet Element.
Now, go down and climb up the ladder and take the path up, then when it
splits, head up and left to the top. Drop down to the lower ledge and along
the path to find the next Komodo Pup. Run towards it and it'll run south and
jump down to a lower ledge. Run after it since it runs around the path along
the watery part of this area. Just run after it and stay close until you
catch it, then fight and defeat it like you did with the other one. Take the
Komodo Scale after you win, then make your way to the lower-left section of
this area. Go down and you'll find a hole in the ground nearby, so press X to
drop into the hole. When you land in the water nearby, go right and onto the
ledge and open the chest to get a Bone. Then, get back into the water and
head up into a cave. Head left onto another ledge and open the chest there to
get an Ivory Helmet. Now, go back right and down through the cave, then go to
the lower-left area of the water and press X to go back through that hole.
Now, go to the lower-right part of the room and follow the path down into the
next area.

In this area, you'll see the third Komodo Pup to the right, but it'll start
running if you move down the path. Let it run for now, and go down and push
the boulder into the water to make a chest rise to the surface. Open it to
get a Silver Loupe, then go right and up the first chance you get. Go up and
defeat the Beach Bum, then go up along the green tree to the next area.
There, go up and onto the higher ledge with the Beach Bum. Defeat it and go
down along the ledge back to the previous area. Walk down to the very edge of
the high ledge, and then wait for the Komodo Pup below to start walking past
the cliff you're on. Right before it walks in front of you, press X to jump
down and you should land on it to engage battle. Fight and defeat this Komodo
Pup, then after you beat it, get ready to fight the Mama Komodo boss! Read
the Bosses section to find out how to take care of this creature. After you
win, you'll gain a Star Level and all your stats will boost slightly. After
the battle, you'll also get the final Komodo Scale that you need for Leena's
necklace. Now, head left to the end and go up the leftmost path into the next
area. Continue up and left along the path, then drop down to the lower ledge
and keep going left straight to the World Map.

On the World Map, save your game if you want, then go down and enter the
Opassa Beach area.

Opassa Beach (Home World)
-------------------------

Upon entering this area, walk to the left and Leena will appear behind you.
She'll take the Komodo scales and sit down by the beach while you stand next
to her, then there will be a conversation between Serge and Leena. When she
asks if you remember talking by the beach when you were younger, say "I
remember" and she'll continue talking. When she asks about what to make of
this day, pick "We'll never forget this day!" as your answer. After that,
Leena will try to tell you something, but Serge will hear something else
calling his name. An FMV will start and show some quick flashbacks from when
Serge was younger. After it ends, you'll suddenly be warped somewhere, then
knocked unconscious. An old man and his Komodo Pup will find you lying on the
beach. He'll tell you that Leena is in the village babysitting, then he and
his pet will leave. Now, just head right out to the World Map again.

At the beach, you were warped to Another World, which is the same as the Home
World, but there are different things to be done/found. So, head right and
enter Lizard Rock again.
Lizard Rock (Another World)
---------------------------

As soon as you enter this area, you'll find that there are stronger enemies
moving around here. So, make sure to allocate the AquaBeam Element (Blue) in
the new space on your grid for Element Level 1. You'll need it if you
encounter the enemies in this area. For now, head down and follow the left
path downward. Press X when you reach the hole in the ground to come out at
the end of the secret passage. At the other side, just walk onto the small
island and open the chest to get a Feather. Now, go back down and left and
press X at the hole you came out of to crawl back through to the other side.
Next, go back up and follow the path right and down. Drop down to the lower
ledge and continue right across the wooden bridge, then follow the path down
into the next area. Head straight down to the lower-left corner and defeat
the OpahFish there, then open the chest to get a Bone. Then, go up and follow
the path all the way right through this area. Watch out when you pass the
high ledge because a Komodo Pup will jump down on you as you pass. Go right
and up the path at the end to reach the next area. Go up and right and fight
the Komodo Pup in your way. After you beat it, go right and open the chest it
was blocking to get an Ivory Helmet. Then, continue up and right out of
Lizard Rock.

Back at the Another World Map, head right and enter Arni Village.

Arni Village (Another World)
----------------------------

When you enter Arni Village, head up the path and go up into the first
building to the right to enter a flower shop. Go right to the large pot (it
was a barrel in the Home World) and press X four times to get the IceLance
Element inside. Then, go up the steps and into the back room. Here, go up to
the blue curtain in the upper-right part of the room to reveal a chest with 5
Tablet Elements inside! Now, get out of the back room and continue left and
down out of the flower shop. Back outside, continue up the path all the way
to the pier. There, talk to Leena and she won't even recognize you because
the Another World is 10 years into the future. She'll tell you that there
used to be a boy named Serge in town, but he died 10 years ago by drowning.
You can pick whatever option you want when talking to her. After she suggests
you visit his grave at Cape Howl, leave the pier and enter the village area
again. Head down and go left into the first house you come across. Inside
this house, go up and check out the bucket near the plant to find a PhotonRay
Element. Now, leave the house and follow the path left to the second house,
then enter that house. Go left and up the steps into the following room.
There, go up and left behind the high shelves and check out that area to find
a MagmaBomb Element. Now, go back down into the previous room and continue
right out of the house. Then, follow the path down and left into the next
area. Go left to Radius's house, but before entering the house, check out the
small bucket to the right of the steps to find a Turn Red Element. Now, enter
the house and go down and left, then check out the framed symbol on the wall
to get 5 more Tablet Elements! Then, go back up and right out of the house.
Now, head right to the main area of the village, and then continue right and
up the ramp at the end. Then, just continue down and right out of town.

On the World Map, head left a small bit, then go up to Cape Howl.

Cape Howl (Another World)
-------------------------

When you enter this area, remember not to walk across the small holes in the
ground because if the geysers come out of them, you'll lose some hit points.
Head up and right, then when you can go left the second time (right behind
that giant rose-shaped thing in the path), head left and open the chest to
get an ElectroJolt Element. Make sure to allocate it as soon as you get it
(you may want to replace the Fireball Element in the Level 3 space with this
one). Then, go right and up the ladder to the higher ledge. Open the chest
there to get a Bone. Climb back down the ladder and continue up the path to
the next area. Head up to the peak of the hill and press X when you reach the
rock. Serge will check out the tombstone, then 3 people will suddenly appear
behind him. They say that he's the "ghost" of the Serge that died 10 years
ago and their orders are to capture him. After these guys are done arguing
and get ready to seize Serge, a mysterious girl appears and jumps in between
Serge and the 3 men. She'll challenge them to a fight and then a boss battle
will start against Karsh, Solt, and Peppor. Read the Bosses section for help
on defeating these guys. After you win, the three men will leave the area and
the girl will introduce herself as Kid. She'll ask if you want her in your
party after that. For now, just refuse her 3 times and she'll tell you she's
heading to a town called Termina, then leave. After that, you'll reappear in
Arni Village.

Arni Village (Another World)
----------------------------

When you appear here, you'll be in Serge's room (you'll remember this place
from the Home World) and Leena and Poshul will be there too. Leena will offer
to help and will join your party, as well as Poshul. After they both join,
it's time to head to Termina in the north. So, exit this room and continue
right towards the exit of the house. A lady will come in and get upset, then
request you leave. So, go right out of Serge's old house. Then, head right
and down out of Arni Village to the World Map.

From Arni Village, head up and right to the path between the mountains to
enter Fossil Valley. Before you enter Fossil Valley, here's a quick list of
which Elements should be allocated to each of your 3 characters, and to which
spaces in their grids:

Serge: (Level 1 Spaces) Tablet x5, Cure
(Level 2 Spaces) Fireball, Photon Ray
       (Level 3 Space) MagmaBomb

Leena: (Level 1 Spaces) TurnRed, Tablet x5
       (Level 2 Spaces) Cure, AquaBeam
       (Level 3 Space) IceLance

Poshul: (Level 1 Spaces) Uplift, Tablet x5
        (Level 2 Spaces) ElectroJolt, PhotonRay
        (Level 3 Space) Heal

Fossil Valley (Another World)
-----------------------------

When you enter this area, head up and between the two guards. They'll tell
you that there's excavation going on and that you should stay on the low
path. Continue up the path to the end and head left along the path. When you
see the path going upward, take that path up to the guard standing by the
ladder. Talk to him and he'll ask if you are the exorcist that they called
for. Say yes and he'll move out of the way, allowing you to climb up the
ladder. So, climb the ladder and go up into the next area. At the top, go up
the path and talk to the guy standing there. He'll tell you that they want
the weird noises to stop, then he'll move out of the way for you. Continue up
the path and a skeleton dressed as a clown will appear in front of you. It'll
ask for you to help find its body parts, so say "Sure" and you'll receive the
Heavy Skull.

Now, go down a small bit, then head left along the path to where the path
heads north. Instead of going north, go down the white-colored path and the
guy will tell you not to go down there since he thinks a monster is there.
Ignore him and continue down into the next area. There, go left to the eggs
and press X to get a Big Egg, then quickly go back up that white path before
the giant bird comes near and you'll have to fight it. When you get to the
top of the white path, just continue going up and when you see the white path
intersect and go towards the right, continue north. Go around the brownish
thing in the way because you'll enter a battle if you touch it and the
enemies are pretty tough. After that, continue up and collect the Bellflower
sitting there. Now, go back down around that brown thing in the path and
continue down and right through this area. Keep going right and down into the
next area.

Here, go down to the main path and follow it left and up to the end. You'll
see Solt and Peppor standing around at the end complaining about how they
lost the other battle with you. They will notice you're there and engage in
battle against you. Read the Bosses section for help on taking care of these
two guys again. After you win, your party will gain another Star Level and
receive a boost in some of their stats, as well as their first Tech Skills!
After Solt and Peppor run away, just follow the path up and out of Fossil
Valley.

On the World Map, head northwest and enter the large town of Termina. Make
sure you save before entering Termina though.

Termina (Another World)
-----------------------

When you enter Termina, you'll see a flower lady and a dragoon talking to the
left. She says there was a ruckus at Fossil Valley and she can't get
Bellflowers right now. She also asked about Karsh and the dragoon told her
he's gone ghost hunting. After the dragoon leaves and you gain control again,
head forward up the steps and you'll run into Kid at the top. She'll say
something about Leena, then leave the area. After this, go up and enter
Lisa's Element Shop to the right. Inside, buy at least 5 of the Antidote,
Medicine, Ointment, and Brace Elements. Also, buy one of the Bushwhacker and
AeroSaucer Elements. Then, exit the shop and go up the steps to the top,
where you'll hear a guy talking about polishing the statue of Lord Viper.
After he's done talking about being the Viper Manor, Kid will appear again
and ask to join your party. This time, recruit her but don't put her in your
party just yet. She'll also give you the Tele-Porter so you can switch your
party members at a Record of Fate or on the World Map. Now, go left into the
shady area in the corner and you'll find a hidden person out of view. When he
asks if you understand him, pick the top option and he'll give you the Tea
for Three Frame. Then, go down the steps and go right past Lisa's shop to the
next area. Continue right until you're stopped to see a mermaid in a tank.
Korcha will appear and cause trouble, then dive into the water below and
paddle away in a boat. After that, keep going right and down the steps into
the following area.

Go down across the bridge and follow the path all the way around the watery
area with the island in the middle. You'll hear a conversation between a
young man named Glenn and a woman named Riddel. The man will notice you and
ask if you'd be willing to give up the Bellflower that you have. Ask for
money, then select 99G and he'll pay it. After that, they'll do what they
have to do with the flower and then talk for a little while. They'll then
decide to return to Viper Manor. After they leave, go back down and left
around the path, then up across the bridge and up the steps to the next area.
Go up the steps and head left to the intersection where you can go up or
left. Talk to the man in yellow in front of the path going up and he'll ask
you if you think his churros are too expensive. Say "Too high" and then pick
50G as the new price. After that, continue left into the next area.

Now, it's time to worry about getting to Viper Manor. You'll need a guide in
order to get there, and that's what the next part of my guide will cover.
There are 3 different guides you can get: Guile, Nikki, and Pierre. The
walkthrough for Viper Manor is based on if you picked Guile since I
personally chose him as a guide. I will not add a walkthrough if you chose
Nikki or Pierre as your guides since that's not how this walkthrough is set
up.

============
Guile's Path
============

To start this path, enter the Bar (it's to the left of Lisa's Element Shop).
Head left through the bar and talk to the mysterious man standing in the far
left part of the room. He'll introduce himself as Guile, then talk for a
little while. When you're given the option, select "Ask for his help" and
he'll say that you need a sailor and a ship and he'll guide you to Viper
Manor. Don't let him join your party just yet. Now, head right out of the
bar, then go down the steps and right into the Inn. Go right to the Record of
Fate (transparent greenish diamond). Remove all the Elements on both Leena
and Poshul, then use the Tele-Porter and switch them with Kid and Guile.
Equip each of the new party members with an Ivory Helmet accessory. Now,
arrange your Elements on your new lineup like this:

Serge: (Level 1 Spaces) Fireball, Cure
       (Level 2 Spaces) MagmaBomb, PhotonRay
(Level 3 Spaces) AeroSaucer, Dash&Slash (Tech)

Kid: (Level 1 Spaces) Bushwhacker, Fireball
     (Level 2 Spaces) MagmaBomb, AquaBeam
(Level 3 Spaces) Heal, Pilfer (Tech)

Guile (Level 1 Space) PhotonRay
      (Level 2 Space) Cure
(Level 3 Spaces) IceLance, Wandaln (Tech)

With your lineup now in order, save your game by the Record of Fate and exit
the Inn. Head up the steps one level and follow the path right past Lisa's to
the next area. Continue all the way right and down the steps at the end to
the following area by the water. Go down across the bridge and around the
path. Go right and up, then left around the small watery area. Don't go down
to that middle island where they were praying before; instead, head left
under the hut. Follow that path left and down and you'll come across Korcha
sitting next to his boat. Talk to him and he'll offer to take you anywhere on
his boat if you pay him. Keep talking to him and pay the 100G when he asks
you to, then get on board the boat and you'll be on your way. When you dock,
you'll be at the Viper Manor Bluffs.

Viper Manor Bluffs (Another World)
----------------------------------

When you get there and the group is done talking, start by climbing up the
rock wall to the next area. There, a guard at the very top of the cliff will
notice there are intruders and will start throwing giant boulders down the
cliff at you. This can be hazardous because each time your group gets hit by
a boulder, they'll each lose 10HP. Luckily, there are only 3 boulders dropped
at a time, so you should climb upward when they aren't being thrown. Also,
there are geysers coming out of some walls, and if you go through one, you'll
get pushed off the wall onto an otherwise unreachable ledge. Now, quickly
climb up to the first ledge while avoiding the boulders. Then, climb up to
the second larger ledge and go right. Go up that wall and climb right into
the geyser to reach another ledge. Open the chest there to get 5 Tablet
Elements. Then, go to the left edge and drop down to the lower ledge. Climb
back up the wall to the larger ledge and go right again. Climb on that wall
with the geyser and stop just below where the geyser comes out. When it stops
for a moment, quickly climb up to the next ledge. There, go all the way left
to the end and climb up that wall to the next area. On the ledge you appear
on, open the chest to get the Meteorite Element. Go back down the wall to the
previous area, and then go right to the middle path going up. Climb up the
middle wall there to reach the next area. There, continue up the middle path
to the next ledge, and then go all the way to the far left. Climb up that
wall while watching out for the geyser along the way. If it hits you, you'll
fall to the lower ledge and will have to climb this wall again. When you get
to the top, open the chest to get the FreeFall Trap Element.

Now, go back down that cliff you just climbed up and go right along the path.
When you can go up or down, go down and right, then start climbing up the
wall there. Climb all the way up to the following ledge, then go left and
down the small cliff. Go left to the end and climb up the cliff there to the
next ledge. Then, go right and up the next cliff to the top. You'll enter a
boss battle against the Acacia PVTs. Read the Bosses section to find out how
to win this battle. After you win that battle, a giant bird creature will fly
in and kill the guard. Before you fight it, take this time to move the
PhotonRay allocated to Serge to the new Level 1 space and put the Meteorite
Element in Serge's Level 2 space. Also, be sure to allocate an Uplift Element
to the new Level 1 Space on Kid's element grid. Now, just climb up the cliff
to reach the flying creature, then you'll be in another boss battle. Read the
Bosses section again for help on defeating this creature known as KingMoaman.
After you defeat it, you'll gain a second Star Level for the second boss
battle here. Your group will then jump over the wall at the top and wait for
nightfall to do anything. At this point, you'll be inside Viper Manor.
(Please skip down to the Viper Manor section for the next part of this
walkthrough.)

============
Nikki's Path
============

To start this path, head left all the way past the Bar to the next area. Head
left through this area until you reach a pink staircase going up. Go up those
stairs onto Nikki's ship, then go up and through the door in front of you. In
that room, go right and talk to the guy there and he'll tell you Nikki is
missing and Miki went to look for him. At that point, Miki enters the room
and asks if you'll help find Nikki. Select "OK, rock on!" as your answer and
Miki will run out of the room. Leave the room and go down the steps off the
ship, then head right into the next area. Go right and down the steps to exit
Termina. Head east on the World Map across the bridge over the small river.
Go right a little more and enter the Shadow Forest.

Shadow Forest (Another World)
-----------------------------

When you enter the Shadow Forest, head left all the way into the following
area. There, go up the ledges to the north to reach the top, then open the
chest to get an AeroSaucer Element. Get back down to the ground, and then
follow the path down and left. You'll see Nikki talking to some monster, and
then he'll run away. So, follow him by continuing left and up the path. Go
down and left and open the chest to get the Uplift Element along the way.
Then, just go up into the next area. Go left and you'll see 2 monsters
chasing after Nikki. After they corner him, go down the path and engage in
battle with the demons known as Cassowaries. Read the Bosses section for help
on defeating them. After you win and gain a Star Level, Nikki will jump into
the water below and walk into the waterfall. Now, follow the path left to the
end, then go down and right into the water and up into the waterfall to the
next room. There, you'll find Nikki again. Go up to him and he'll ask to join
your party since he wants to go to Viper Manor too. Let him join, then he'll
ask if you want to hear a song. Say "No, thanks" for now, then he'll tell you
there's a monster blocking the path to the manor.

After you all leave the cave and name Nikki, remove Poshul and put Nikki in
your party. Equip Nikki and your other party members with Green Elements and
the Antidote and Brace Elements for the next battle in the forest. Now, head
back into the waterfall and open the chest to get an Aroma Pouch. Then, check
out the notebook and you'll find the Angry Scapula. Now, exit this room and
go left to the giant plant in the way. Then, go up and right through the
water to the round tree above the waterfall. Press X and a blue ball of
pollen will follow you. Now, go back left, then down and right and into the
waterfall. There, go up to the blue creature sitting there and walk by it so
it follows you. Don't let it get too close that it'll eat the pollen; just
start running when it follows you. Exit the waterfall and head right to the
giant plant. Stay still so the creature will eat the pollen, then the plant
will eat that creature!

After the giant plant eats that blue creature, press X to enter a battle with
it. Just use regular attacks and Yellow Elements to attack when needed. After
you beat this creature, continue left into the next area. Here, go up and
Solt and Peppor will appear in front of you. A dragoon will also jump from a
tree above you, then a boss battle will engage. Read the Bosses section for
help in winning this fight. After you win and get your 5th Star Level, Zoah
will leave and let you pass. Before you go into the next area, go up and
right and open the chest there to get a Heal Element. Now, go up into the
next area and head up the path. Open the semi-hidden chest along the way to
get a MagmaBomb Element. Continue up into the next area, and then follow the
path north. Stay to the left wall and go up onto the green area of land.
Defeat the "guy" standing there (Wraith), then push the boulder up to the bug
hole. Push it up and it'll block the hole completely. Now, go back down to
the water and continue up through the water to the next area. Here, just go
all the way up into the next room, which is at the bottom of a well. The
party will wait until nightfall, then climb up to the Viper Manor area.

=============
Pierre's Path
=============

To start Pierre's path to Viper Manor, head right past Lisa's Element shop to
the next area. There, go north on the path to reach the next area. Continue
up and into the building marked "Smithy", which happens to be the place where
you can forge equipment. However, you don't need anything yet, so don't buy
anything. Instead, go left through the room and down into the back room.
Here, go right and talk to the guy standing there and he will introduce
himself as Pierre. He'll also say he lost his medal and he can't get to Viper
Manor without it. So, go left and down to get into the backyard of the
building. There, talk to the boy running around and he'll give you the Hero's
Medal. Now, re-enter the building and go up to Pierre and select the Hero's
Medal from the Key Items Menu. After you give it to him, talk to him again
and choose to take him with you to Viper Manor. Replace Poshul with Pierre in
your party and equip him with Green Elements. Now, go left and up to the next
room and continue right to exit the Smithy. Then, go down the path to the
next area and head left when you reach the end. Go left past Lisa's and head
down the steps all the way out of Termina.

On the World Map, head right and up around the mountains and go up to Viper
Manor. Press X when you get there to reach the Viper Manor Gates.

Viper Manor Gates (Another World)
---------------------------------

When you arrive at the gates, walk up to the guards and Pierre will try to
get in. They won't let him in, so you're now given the option of what to do
next. Choose "Charge!" and the group will engage in a boss battle against the
guards, known as Acacia Guards. Read the Bosses section to find out how to
beat them. After you win and gain that Star Level for winning a boss battle,
go up to the gate and press X to open it. Now, walk up a small bit and you'll
run into Solt and Peppor again. You'll enter another boss battle against them
and their new friend as well. After you beat the trio, go behind the gate to
the left and open the chest to get a TurnYellow Element. Then, go up the path
and the group will stop and wait for nightfall before going any further.
After that, you'll be inside the Viper Manor area.

Viper Manor (Another World)
---------------------------

When you enter the Viper Manor (remember that the walkthrough for this area
is assuming you had Guile as your guide), you'll be outside in the dark
courtyard. There will be guards you can fight and defeat here, and there's a
large spotlight moving around the area. Don't get spotted because you'll be
chased down by the guards and attacked. Before you go anywhere, go up and
press X to open the door, then go up and open the chest to get a TurnBlue
Element. Now, make your way up through the middle of this courtyard while
avoiding the spotlight. Open the large doors when you get to the wall to
enter the stables. Here, go up and use the Record of Fate to save your game.
Then, go up and talk to the man standing there. He'll ask if you're the new
helpers, so pick "That's right" as the answer and he'll ask you to feed the
dragons. After you feed them, he'll let you have the key to the manor. Choose
to feed them and you'll be asked how many times you'll feed the dragons. I'd
say go for 10 or 20 times the first time to get used to it. Here's a quick
list of the prizes you can win and how many times you have to feed the
dragons to win them:

Times Prize
----- -----
10 Knee Pad (Accessory)
20 Bronze Helmet (Accessory)
30 Bronze Mail (Armor)
40 RecoverAll (Element)
50 Iron Vest (Armor)

This mini-game is set up like this: there are 5 dragons in a row that you
must feed. You feed them bales of hay, which you get by going to the left-
most spot and pressing X. You can only hold 3 bales of hay at once, and each
dragon eats one bale at a time. However, you can only feed the dragons when
their heads are raised. You must be quick because if you don't feed a dragon
when its head is raised, it'll get mad and lower its head. If you fail to
feed one of the dragons four times (it'll be VERY red at that point), you
lose. After you win this mini-game once, the man will tell you to take the
Manor Key from the cupboard, and he'll give you a prize according to the
number of times you fed the dragons. After that, talk to the man a second
time to be able to feed the dragons again. Choose to feed them 10 times and
succeed to win a Knee Pad accessory. Then, feed them 20 times and succeed to
get a Bronze Helmet. Then, feed them 30 times to get a Bronze Mail. Finally,
feed them 40 times to get a RecoverAll Element. Equip the Bronze Helmet and
Bronze Mail to Kid. Now, go right and up to the cupboard against the north
wall and press X to get the Manor Key. Now, go down all the way out of the
stable. It's time to allocate some more elements to your party like so:

Serge: (Level 1 Elements) Fireball, Cure, PhotonRay
(Level 2 Elements) Meteorite, Medicine x5
(Level 3 Elements) AeroSaucer, Dash&Slash (Tech)
       (Level 4 Element) MagmaBomb

Kid: (Level 1 Elements) Uplift, Fireball, Fireball
     (Level 2 Elements) MagmaBomb, AquaBeam
(Level 3 Elements) TurnBlue, Pilfer (Tech)
     (Level 4 Element) RecoverAll

Guile: (Level 1 Element) PhotonRay
       (Level 2 Element) MagmaBomb
(Level 3 Elements) IceLance, Wandaln (Tech)
       (Level 4 Element) Cure

Now that your group is set up for Viper Manor, exit the stables and go down
through the area while avoiding the spotlight. At the south wall, head left
into the next area. Follow the path up through this area and defeat the
guards along the way. Defeat the guards in front of the entrance to the
manor, then continue up to the end and open the chest in the left corner to
get 5 Ointment Elements. Now, go down to the entrance and press X to enter
the manor itself. In this room, go up and try to open the door, but you
can't. Check out the snake statue to the left and decide to turn the numbers
on it. Just pick any numbers because you don't know the combo just yet.
You'll fall into a trap that puts your group in a cage in the basement
guarded by dragoons. Kid will make the dragoons mad, then they'll unlock the
cage for you. Press X to exit the cage and you'll fight the guards. Defeat
them, then exit the cage and your group will take the guard uniforms as
disguises. Now, go down the steps to the next area. Here, go try to open the
chest and you'll have to fight the Boxer Boys. Pick one and you'll
automatically win the fight or you'll have to fight them. After you get
through this, go left and talk to the guard. After that, go back up the
stairs to the previous room and go through the left door down the hallway.
Enter the first door to enter the kitchen area. Go up and left into the
actual kitchen, then go up and open the cabinet to get a TurnGreen Element.
Then, get to the upper-right corner of the room to get the Dragoon's Honor.

Now, go down and talk to Glenn standing there and he'll say something and
walk out of the room. Follow him out of this room and go left, then enter the
third door in this hallway. Go up and talk to Glenn by the wall, then he'll
write something on the wall and walk away. Check the wall where he was
standing to read the code for the lock in the upper level. It's a random
combo from what I know, so I'm just going to ask you write down the combo for
later use in Viper Manor. Now, go left to the other half of this room, then
go down and open the chest to get a Revive Element. Get back to the right
side of the room and save your game using the Record of Fate, and then leave
this room completely. Head right and press X at the end to get out of the
left hallway. Then, go right and press X to reach the right half of this
area. Talk to the guards and they'll say you need a password to enter the
treasure vault. When they ask for the password, don't even pick an answer and
they'll respond after a few seconds saying that the password is silence.
They'll then move and allow you to enter the room. Try opening the chest to
the right and you'll fight the Boxer Boys. After you take care of them, go up
and your party will comment about the absence of the Frozen Flame. After
that, go up to the wall and take the 3 items from the pedestals: a Bronze
Sword, Bronze Mail, and Hero's Shield. Equip Serge with the Bronze Mail right
now, Then, go right and press X by the vase and you'll fight a monster. Beat
it and you'll get the TurnRed Element. Now, check out that shiny thing on the
right wall and choose to "Grab it" to get a Silver Pendant. After you take
it, you'll be caught in a trap, which brings you into a cage in the following
room.

When you arrive in the next room, a woman will come up to your cage and
realize you're not really a group of dragoons. She'll then open the cage and
you'll all walk out. The woman will introduce herself as Luccia, then unleash
her Neo-N-Bulbs to attack you. Read the Bosses section for help on defeating
these creatures. After you win, you'll obviously gain another Star Level, as
well as gain some status boosts! Luccia won't be too impressed and she'll
just ask you to leave. Before you do anything else, be sure to allocate the
Revive Element on Serge's new Level 2 space in his grid, and a TurnRed
Element in Kid's new space as well. At this point, go left to the small cage
on the shelf. Talk to the creature inside and it'll introduce itself as Pip.
Talk to it a second time and open its cage. After that, go right and try to
exit the room. Luccia will offer to help you again sometime. Then, you'll be
able to exit the room.

In the hallway, talk to the giant Roborg and choose to bust it up. You'll
enter a battle against it at that point. Defeat it using regular attacks and
lots of attack Elements, particularly the Green ones. Since the Roborg has a
lot of strength and causes lots of damage in one shot, make sure your party
is in good shape for the whole battle. After you win, head right in front of
the next door. Go up to the door and wait for the eyeball to close, then
press X and enter the room. In this room, open the chest to the right to get
a Bronze Helmet. Equip it on Serge, replacing the Ivory Helmet, then go up
and take the Décor Shield off the wall. Then, go to the north part of the
room and you'll see 5 statues lined up, but one's missing a shield. Go up to
the one without it and select the Décor Shield to place it on the statue.
You'll have to fight 5 Man-Of-Wars now because of this.

To beat the Man-Of-Wars, use regular attacks and lots of White Elements to
fight them with. Keep the party in good shape since their attacks cause a lot
of damage. After you win this tough battle, go down to the statue of a snake
in the middle of the room. Push it up and right into the niche against the
wall to open up a hidden door in the wall. Enter that room and try to get
near the chest, but you'll lose 10HP because of the steam. Leave the room and
talk to the guard in the corner of the room and he'll tell you that you'll
need the general to open the chest. So, go down out of this room and head
right up the stairs to the next floor. Here, go in front of the first door to
the right and wait for the eyeball to blink. Then, quickly press X and enter
that room. Go up to the chest and try to open it, but Zoah will wake up and
won't let you open it. Talk to him a few times and ask each of the 3 options
as they appear. However, he still won't let you open the chest, so leave the
room. Go left and enter the next room and try to open the chest here. Karsh
will stop you, so talk to him and ask some questions as well. After that, try
opening the chest 20 times and Karsh will finally let you have the Dragoon
Gauntlet inside. Now, equip it on Serge as his second accessory, and then
leave this room.

Head left to the end of the hallway and press X to enter that middle room
again. Go up to that snake statue and enter the code you found out from Glenn
earlier in Viper Manor. After you do that, the door will open. Now, go up the
stairs and into the next room. A Roborg blocks the door to the right, so go
left and into that room instead. Go left across the bridge and open the door
at the other side to enter the library.

Head left up the staircase and walk up to the girl standing to the right.
Your group will reveal themselves and an old man from a higher ledge will
climb down a ladder to talk to you. He'll talk to you about the two different
worlds and the difference between the two. After he's finally done talking,
you'll enter a battle with the little girl known as Marcy. Read the Bosses
section to find out how to defeat her. After you win, you'll gain a Star
Level and Serge and Kid will gain another Level 1 slot in their grids. Marcy
will run away and the Prophet will give you a hint about the next part of the
Viper Manor. Now, go up the stairs to the higher balcony and go right. Press
X at the spot where Marcy did to lower the ladder before, then climb the
ladder and open the chest there to get a TurnWhite Element. Then, climb down
the ladder and go left down the stairs again, then go down and exit the
library. Go right across the bridge to the main area of the manor and go
right. A harlequin named Harle will walk up to you and insult Kid a couple
times. She'll tell you not to fight Lynx and then she'll leave.

After she leaves, go up through the middle of the room and defeat the enemy
that falls from above on you. Defeat it, then get to the left side of the
room. You'll see a few thin pillars to the left; go up to the second to last
one and press X to find a switch. Hit it to lower a platform behind the
nearby guards. The guards will then run towards you and fight. Defeat them,
then go onto that platform and press X by the throne to find a switch. Hit it
and the platform will bring you up to another ledge. Then, just go up the
steps into the next room.

In this room, go left and save the game using the Record of Fate. Also, it's
time to re-arrange your Elements for the next part of the game.

Serge: (Level 1 Elements) Revive, Fireball, Cure, PhotonRay
(Level 2 Elements) Meteorite, Medicine x5, ElectroJolt
(Level 3 Elements) AeroSaucer, Dash&Slash (Tech)
       (Level 4 Element) MagmaBomb

Kid: (Level 1 Elements) Bushwhacker, Uplift, Fireball, Fireball
(Level 2 Elements) MagmaBomb, AquaBeam, AeroSaucer
(Level 3 Elements) TurnBlue, Pilfer (Tech)
     (Level 4 Element) RecoverAll

Guile: (Level 1 Element) PhotonRay
       (Level 2 Element) MagmaBomb
(Level 3 Element) IceLance, Wandaln (Tech)
       (Level 4 Element) Cure

Now that everything's set up, go up to the second door to the right and wait
for the eyeball to blink, then enter the room. Go up to the desk and press X
and Kid will think the Frozen Flame is there. When she says she'll ask the
general directly, the wall panel will open and General Viper will come out.
He'll talk to Kid for a moment, then Lynx will come out and talk. Kid will
threaten him and the battle will begin. Read the Bosses section for help on
defeating Lynx. After you defeat Lynx, your party will gain yet another Star
Level and gain some status boosts. Then, Lynx will reappear since you merely
defeated his shadow and try to talk to Serge. An FMV will start and the blue
item on the desk will activate, causing Serge to see something happen to the
world. After it ends, a bunch of shadow cats will appear and Riddel will
enter the room. Kid will take her captive and the group will leave the room.
Your group will then make an escape to the roof of Viper Manor with Lynx,
General Viper, Karsh, and a couple guards following you. They'll try to work
out a deal with Kid, then when she looks away, Lynx attacks Kid and she falls
off the roof to the water below. Lynx will come closer to Serge, and then
Serge and Guile will jump off the roof as well. When you all land at the very
bottom of the bluffs by Korcha, the main menu will open up. Save your game
and then exit the menu, then the game will show Serge lying in a bed in the
town of Guldove.

Guldove (Another World)
-----------------------

When you wake up in Guldove, a lady will tell you your friends are outside
waiting for you. So, go right out of the house and Kid will start talking to
you. After a few words, she'll pass out and Serge, Korcha, and Guile will
bring her to the clinic in town. You'll find out she's been poisoned and has
2 days to live. The only thing that can cure her is Hydra Humour, but the
Hydra is supposedly extinct. The doctor will leave the room and Korcha will
try to get him back, but he'll bump into Harle. She'll enter the room and
make Korcha mad, then disappear after talking for a moment. After that, Kid
will want to talk to you, so go to her bedside and talk to her. She'll give
you the Astral Amulet and decide to rest for a while. Korcha will then ask
you what you're going to do. At this point, you have two different options:
you can either choose to save Kid, or say "...I don't know" and not try to
save her. Whether or not you choose to save her will affect the next part of
the game and whom you'll be able to meet and recruit. If you choose to save
her, you'll be able to recruit Korcha, Razzly, and Mel later in the game. If
you choose not to, you can recruit Macha, Glenn, and Doc. I personally chose
to save her, so that's what this guide is going to reflect later on in the
game. Below, I will add a walkthrough for both ways (if you choose to/not to
save Kid), but keep in mind that my guide is going to assume you saved Kid
later on.

==============
Not Saving Kid
==============

If you're choosing not to save her, Korcha will get upset and demand you
leave the Astral Amulet here. He'll then leave the building and you'll have
to choose a third party member for your group. I'd say you should just put
Leena in your group for now. Then, go left into the next room and continue
down out of this hut. Head left across this area to the next section by the
pub. Go left and up the ladder to the second floor and go right to the next
area. Here, go right and enter Korcha's house. Talk to him and he'll refuse
to lend you his boat, then his mother Macha will come in. She'll have a long
talk with him, then she'll decide to borrow the boat and bring you to Termina
herself. She'll tell you to call her when you're ready to leave the village.
She'll also give you the Tropical Paradise Frame, and then she'll really
leave the house. Now, leave Korcha's house and go left across the bridge to
the next area. Go around the hut and continue left to the leftmost area.
Enter this large hut and talk to the shaman, Direa. After she's done talking,
you can save your game with the nearby Record of Fate if you want, otherwise
leave the shaman's hut. Go right around the hut and head right across the
bridge to the next area. Climb down the ladder to the ground level and go
right to the following area. Go right and talk to the person in yellow
clothes. Choose to trade Elements, then hit Circle to exit this shop. She'll
ask you to take this bone she has, so take the Pelvic Bone for Skelly and go
right and talk to Macha. Tell her you're ready to go, then get on the boat
and she'll take you to Termina.
Termina (Another World)
-----------------------

When you arrive in Termina, a man will tell Macha to move the boat elsewhere.
She'll get mad and the guy will walk away. Macha will then allow your group
to go explore Termina since you're here. So, go up and right up the path to
the next area. Go right and down the set of stairs, then you'll hear a
conversation between Glenn and the florist. He'll talk about going to a fort
and how he might be discharged from the Acacia Dragoons if he goes there.
After he leaves, go back up the stairs and go right to the next area. Go
right and talk to the fortuneteller (the glowing eyes in the dark tent) and
ask for Guile's fortune. The fortuneteller will realize he lost the bet and
will give Guile a Brass Rod for winning the bet. Then, choose to quit and he
will say something to Serge about being the key of destruction. After that,
go back left to the previous area. Continue left across to the following area
to the left. Go down the steps and talk to Macha, then choose to straighten
things out. Keep talking and she'll let you borrow the boat permanently!
Glenn will then appear and ask to borrow the boat. Macha will direct him to
you, then let him join your group. After that, let Macha join your crew as
well. You don't have to put her in your party, but you should replace Leena
with Glenn though. After Macha leaves, press X to get onto the boat. When you
appear at the World Map on the boat, head north and east across the north
shore of the large continent. Go right and up around the island with the
smoke coming out of it and dock on the east side of it to reach Hermit's
Hideaway.

==========
Saving Kid
==========

After you choose to find a way to save Kid, Korcha will join you and you'll
be asked to put a third member in your party for now. Put Leena in there for
now, then Korcha will ask what to do now. They'll decide to visit the shaman,
then leave the room. Korcha will talk to a cat and a girl will run out and
take the cat away. The group will then go outside and Korcha will allow you
to do what you want to do, then call him when you're ready to go. For now, go
down and talk to the guy in yellow. He'll trade you items you'll need to
forge weapons, armor, and accessories for Elements you may have. Don't trade
right now, then he'll ask you to take this bone he has. Take the Pelvic Bone,
and then go left to the guy behind the blue counter. De-equip the Ivory
Helmets that your 3 current party members might have equipped, then talk to
the man to get equipment forged or disassembled. Choose to disassemble all
the Ivory equipment (mails, vests, and helmets) that isn't equipped. Also,
disassemble the Knee Pad, Pendragon Sigil C, and all other accessories you
have de-equipped. Forge the Copper Swallow and Besom Cu29 as weapons for
Serge and Leena, then forge 2 Bronze Mails for Guile and Leena. Finally,
forge a couple of Bronze Helmets for those in your current party that don't
have it equipped. Now, disassemble as much of the old stuff as you can, then
head up and left into the next area. Go left and into the bar in the next
area. You'll hear Doc talking about his problems to Orlha the bartender.
After they're done and you're back outside again, go up the ladder to the
second floor and go left to the next area. Here, enter the hut and you'll
meet the shaman of the village, Direa, inside. After you talk to her for a
moment, she'll tell you that you should try to return to the Home World
because the hydra might still exist there. Then, save your game with the
Record of Fate and exit this hut.

Go right and across the bridge to the next area. Continue right around the
building and keep going right to the third hut. Go up and around so you're
behind this hut, which is Korcha's house. When you get behind it, walk down
into the back wall to enter a hidden room. There, open the brown chest to get
a Feathery Dress. Leave the room and go back around and left out of this
area. Go around the middle building and down the ladder to the floor below.
There, enter the bar again and talk to the dwarf to find out about the Hydra
Marshes. Talk to it a second time to get the Green Tinkler. Now, leave the
bar and go down and right into the next area. Head all the way right and talk
to Korcha and tell him you're totally ready to go. At that point, board
Korcha's boat and he'll take you to Termina.

Termina (Another World)
-----------------------

When you dock at Termina, a man will come running out complaining about where
Korcha docked the boat. Korcha will bribe him, then the man will walk away
happy. Now, recruit Korcha, but don't let him in your party yet. Now, head up
the steps and right up the path to the next area. Continue right all the way
to the following screen. There, go right and talk to the fortuneteller (the
glowing eyes in the dark tent) and choose to hear Guile's fortune. The
fortuneteller will give him a Brass Rod for winning a bet they made before.
Then, choose "Quit" and she'll say something to Serge. After that, go back
left to the previous area. Go left and into Lisa's Element Shop. Buy two of
each non-consumable Element (Cure, Heal, Fireball, MagmaBomb, AquaBeam,
IceLance, ElectroJolt, Uplift, Bushwhacker, and AeroSaucer), and then exit
the shop. Go down the steps and enter the Inn, then save your game using the
Record of Fate. Now, it's time to reallocate your Elements (both allocated
and in stock) as follows:

Serge: (Level 1 Elements) Uplift, Fireball, Cure, PhotonRay
(Level 2 Elements) IceLance, Meteorite, Bushwhacker, ElectroJolt
       (Level 3 Elements) AeroSaucer, Dash&Slash
       (Level 4 Element) MagmaBomb

Guile: (Level 1 Element) Cure
       (Level 2 Element) ElectroJolt
(Level 3 Elements) AeroSaucer, Wandaln (Tech)
       (Level 4 Element) IceLance

Leena: (Level 1 Elements) Revive, Cure, Uplift, AquaBeam
(Level 2 Elements) ElectroJolt, TurnRed, AeroSaucer, Fireball
(Level 3 Elements) IceLance, MaidenHand (Tech)
       (Level 4 Element) MagmaBomb

Now that your group is properly equipped with both elements and equipment,
exit the Inn and go up the steps and go right past Lisa's to the next area.
Go all the way right and down the steps at the end to reach the following
area, then head down and across the bridge to witness a funeral. After the
funeral, a masked man named Greco will come up to you and say something, and
then he'll go into his hut. Follow him into his hut and talk to him, then
choose to take him with you. You'll now recruit Greco into your party, but
I'd prefer not to actually put him in current party right now though. Now,
exit the hut and go down the steps to the left, then go up the path and up
the white stairs to the next area. Go all the way left through this section
to the following scene, and then go left past Lisa's and down the white steps
all the way out of Termina.

On the World Map again, go right and down through the Fossil Valley, then
continue south and east to the Hydra Marshes.

Hydra Marshes (Another World)
-----------------------------

When you enter this area, go up and press X by that plant on the left path.
Then, walk over it and into the marsh's poisonous water. Before you enter
this area, I must warn you that the longer you stay in that marshy water,
your party will lose hit points. That is unless you have the Safety Gear,
which I'm going to tell you how to find soon. Now, quickly run up and left
through the marsh to the piece of dry land. Walk up into the marsh by going
on that log, then go left and open the underwater chest to get 5 Tablets.
Now, quickly get back onto the dry land and go left to the next area. Here,
head up and left along the path, then follow it left to the next area. Go
left and up and save your game with the Record of Fate if you want.
Otherwise, continue right to the next area. Continue up the path, but right
before you walk under the overpass, take the thin path right and up to the
higher ledge. Go left and open the chest to get an ElectroJolt Element, then
head right and up to the next area. Go up the path and talk to the first guy
to get Safety Gear. Now you'll be able to walk through the marshes without
losing HP! Now, go back down to the previous area and go left along the path.
Go down that thin path to the lower area and go down and left to the next
area. Save your game here, then go down and right to the following area.
Continue down and right along the path to the next area, then head down into
the marshes again. Go right and into the marshes by going right across that
little log. Then, go up the path to the next area.

In this next area, enter the marshes and go down and left and open the chest
to get a Bushwhacker Element. Then, go right and up and walk up across the
log to the top. Go up to the plant and select the Green Tinkler from the Key
Items menu to make it bend for you. Walk down it into the marsh and go up and
left around the bend. Take the path up onto the dry land and open the chest
to get a Seed. Now, go down into the marsh again and go left and up to the
next area. Head up and right through the marsh and open the chest to get
Carapace, then go right to the next area. Go right and down and save your
game if you want with the Record of Fate. Otherwise, continue right and up
through the marshes to the dry land again. Go up and right along the path to
the following area, then go up to the marsh's edge. You'll see a couple of
enemies in the marsh going after an underwater chest. They'll notice you and
start a fight with you. Simply use regular attacks and Yellow Elements to
defeat them. After the battle, open that underwater chest to get the Life
Sparkle. Now, go left to the previous area and go left while holding Down to
stay against the south wall. Go down through the secret passage, then go
right and up and open the hidden chest to get a BatEye. Now, go left and up
through that passage again and continue left and down, then left some more
through the marsh. Go down onto the dry land and defeat the enemies roaming
around if you feel like it, otherwise continue down and right along the path.
Go up at the end and open the chest to get Copper, then go down and right to
the next area. Go down the path past the Centaurpede, unless you want to
fight it. Then, continue down to the marsh and go right and down to the dry
spot again.

Go right and up around the wall and open the chest to get 5 Tablets. Then, go
down the dry path to the next area and open the chest there to get Copper. Go
left and defeat the Potpourri enemy, then go left down the slippery slope
into the marsh. Now, just go all the way left through the area to the log at
the end. Walk down onto the dry land and continue down and right through that
marsh. Go right and down onto the dry land, then go down the path out of
Hydra Marshes.

Back on the World Map, head west and north through Fossil Valley, then
continue northeast around the mountains to reach Viper Manor again.

Viper Manor (Another World)
---------------------------

When you enter this area, go up to the Roborg by the gates and choose to bust
it up. After you defeat it, press X to open the gate, then go behind the left
gate and open the chest to get a TurnYellow Element. Then, continue right to
the next area and go right and press X to enter the actual manor. Open the
right door and go right through the hallway and through the doorway at the
very end to go downstairs. Head left and open the gate at the end, then go
down the stairs below to reach the basement. Check out the desk below the
stairs to get a Parlor Key, then go back upstairs and open the left doorway,
then go down the hallway and up the stairs at the end. On this floor, enter
the first door to the left and open the chest here to get a TurnBlack
Element. Leave the room and enter the second room by using the Parlor Key,
then open the chest here to get a Daemon Charm. Now, leave the room and go
right down the hallway, then open the door at the end. Go up and through the
double doors up the stairs and into the next room. Open the door to the left
and go into that room, then go left across the bridge and open the door at
the other side to enter the library. Get into the middle area and go behind
the desk the Prophet is standing in front of. Go up to the bookcase and press
X to find a secret area. Choose to go down, then talk to the Beach Bum there
to get the Porre's Furnace Frame. It'll also offer to change Serge's name. Do
so if you want, then go up the ladder to the library again. Go right around
the room and go down to exit the library.

Now, go across the bridge to the main area again and head right and down to
the next room. Go right and up the hallway to the throne at the end. Push X
by the throne and press the switch to make the platform raise up to a higher
ledge. Then, just go up the steps and into the next room. There, head up and
right to reach the roof of Viper Manor. Go right, but before talking to
Luccia, go up and right and climb the ladder to the higher platform. Open the
nearby chest to find a Sight Scope accessory. Climb back down the ladder and
talk to Luccia. She'll tell you about the NeoFio plant and the Life Sparkle's
use. After she walks away, use the Life Sparkle from the Key Items menu to
make NeoFio blossom and become recruited! Name it, but do not put it into
your party right now. After this, go back left and into the manor again. Go
left and down the hall to the following room, then go down the steps to the
throne. Press X and hit the switch to lower the platform to the floor below.
Then, just go down the hall and into the next room. Go down the steps and
open the double doors, then open the right door and go right down that hall.
Go through the doorway at the end to go downstairs. There, go left and enter
the second door to reach Luccia's lab. When you enter, Luccia will be letting
the dishwasher guy for the kitchen out of her trap. After he leaves, talk to
Luccia and allow her to join your group. Like with NeoFio, don't let her into
your party yet either. Now, go up and right and press X by Luccia's desk to
find a Silver Earring. Then, go right and exit the lab.

Now, go right and up the stairs to the next floor again. There, go all the
way left and open the gate door at the end, then go down to exit the
building. Go left to the next area, and then just keep going through the
gates to exit Viper Manor completely. On the World Map, head south and
through Fossil Valley. Then, just continue southwest all the way to Opassa
Beach.

Opassa Beach (Another World)
----------------------------

When you arrive at Opassa Beach, your party will talk for a moment. After you
can move, go left and you'll find the green wormhole that connects the two
worlds together. Select and use the Astral Amulet from the Key Items menu and
your party will warp to the Home World via the wormhole. After you arrive
there, go right and exit Opassa Beach.

On the Home World Map, go up and head all the way east to the Hydra Marshes.

Hydra Marshes (Home World)
--------------------------

When you enter the marshes, go up and talk to the guy in your way. After he
lets you pass, take the right path up into the marshes and go right and down
around the bend. Then, go left and open the chest to get a Feather. Now, go
back up and left and up some more to reach the dry land. Serge will see a
spirit floating around, then moving to the next area. After that, go up and
across that log into the marsh at the other side, then go right and down and
open the chest to get a Bone. Go back left and up that log and continue left
to the next area. Go up the path a little bit and the party will stop because
something big is coming near. After the giant creature flies by, continue up
the path all the way to the north-most point. Open the chest to get a Brace
Element, and then go down and left to the next area. Go left and up and a
weird creature known as a Beeba will appear and tell you to leave. You'll
then choose to fight this creature and its cohorts. After you beat it, it'll
apologize and leave a chest behind for you. Open it to get a Beeba Flute,
then stand on the blue spot and use the Beeba Flute, but nothing will happen.
So, go up and save your game and go right to the next area. Continue right
and up the path, then go along the path leading under the higher one and talk
to the Beeba standing there to battle it. After you finally defeat this group
of Beebas, they'll disappear and let you open the chest. Take the Bushbasher
Element inside, then go down and right up that small path to the higher
ledge.

Now, go right and up the path to the next area. There, go right and onto the
center platform, then use the Beeba Flute to make the Wingapede appear.
You'll then enter a battle against it. In this battle, you should be careful
because when Wingapede attacks with AcidicGas or PoisonGas, it'll take away
HP and possibly poison your party. Luckily, the poison effect doesn't take
your HP away THAT quickly! Start off by using regular attacks to boost the
power levels, then have your characters use their Yellow Elements to attack.
Heal your group by using Cure or Heal elements if needed, then keep pummeling
the Wingapede with regular attacks and Yellow Elements until you defeat it.
After you win (no you do not gain a Star Level, sorry), walk into the middle
of this platform. The floor will collapse since it's cracked after Wingapede
was defeated, and you will land in a room below with a huge creature. After
that, go up to the giant monster and press X to find out that it is sleeping.

Now, go around the room to the south end and talk to the fairy in the small
cage. The monster will awaken and your group will be stuck fighting Pentapus,
which is that monster's name. This creature has pretty high defense, so you
can't do too much damage to it with regular attacks. Fight it by using
regular attacks to boost your characters' power levels, then use all sorts of
Elements to attack. It's preferred you use Guile's Tech Skill, Wandaln, to
attack this creature, as well as any Red Elements you have. Watch out because
when it attacks a party member, it does a whole lot of damage to them. Use
Cure or Heal Elements to keep your party in good shape, then keep using
regular attacks and Elements/Tech Skills until you manage to defeat this
horrible creature.

After this battle, open the chest behind the cage to get a RecoverAll
Element. Then, open the cage to free the fairy by pressing X. She'll
introduce herself as Razzly, then she'll tell you about how she's from Water
Dragon Isle. Your party will explain to Razzly the link between the two
worlds and all. She'll talk some more, then join your group, but do not let
her in your party right now though. Now, exit this pit by climbing the upper-
right wall and going into the hole to the next area. Go right and press X at
the edge to jump down to the lower area. Head up onto the dry land and open
the chest to get an AeroSaucer Element. Now, go back down and left, then up
to the next area. Go up and right through this small area while either
avoiding or fighting/defeating those giant creatures. Continue right to the
next area and go down, then save your game with the Record of Fate.

Then, go down onto the dry land and follow the path right and up to a chest.
Open it to get an Antidote Element. Now, go back down and left, and then up
into the marsh and head right where you'll find a group of dwarves. They will
then engage in battle against you, so you'll have to fight. Read the Bosses
section for help on defeating the Hi-Ho Dwarves. After you win, you'll gain a
Star Level and Serge and Leena will get a new space in their Element grids.
After the dwarves disappear, continue up and right through the marshes. Stay
against the south wall and hold Down to enter a hidden passage. Follow it
down and right, and then open the underwater chest to get a Medicine Element.

Now, go back left and up through that passageway, then continue right. Before
you enter the next area, take the time to allocate the Bushbasher Element to
Leena's new empty space, and the RecoverAll Element to Serge's empty space.
Now, go right and enter the next area. Here, go right and the dwarf will
awaken the Hydra to attack you. You will now enter another boss battle
against the giant Hydra. Read the Bosses section (as usual) to find out how
to fight it. After you win and gain that Star Level and new stats, the
dwarves will become very upset and leave. Now, go up to the Hydra and press X
to get the Hydra Humour you needed. Then, head left along the path to the
next area. Go left and your party will automatically reappear in the first
scene of the marshes. Just go up that log onto the dry land and head down
into the marshes again. Go down and right, then down onto dry land, and
continue all the way out of the Hydra Marshes.

On the World Map, head west all the way past Arni Village to Opassa Beach.

Opassa Beach (Home World)
-------------------------

At Opassa Beach, go left and find that wormhole, then use the Astral Amulet
to warp to Another World. When you arrive, head right out of the area to the
World Map.

Back on the World Map, head northeast and then north through Fossil Valley.
Then, go northwest and enter Termina.

Termina (Another World)
-----------------------

When you enter Termina, head up the steps and go left past the bar to the
next area. Go down the ramp and the steps, then talk to Korcha. Choose to
return to Guldove and he'll take you on his boat all the way to Guldove
again.

Guldove (Another World)
-----------------------

After you dock, Korcha will run into the nearby building, so follow him
inside. In the building, go right into the next room and talk to Doc, who is
sitting next to Kid's bed. Go up to him and select the Hydra Humour from the
Key Items menu. Doc will then take it and run off to make the antidote for
it. In the waiting room, your party along with Korcha will stand around and
wait. When the Doc comes out, he'll tell Serge that Kid wants to talk to him.
In the next room, Doc will tell you he'll be in the other room, and then
he'll leave. So, go to Kid and she'll talk for a moment before falling
asleep. In the next scene, Korcha will be talking to Doc for a moment about
the two worlds. After everyone's done talking, the group will rest for the
night. During the night, a girl will enter Kid's room and steal all of her
Elements! In the morning, Kid will be well again and will ask Serge about
what to do next. After you watch the FMV, choose the "I won't go back yet"
option and Kid will choose to stick with our group. She'll continue talking
for a while, then she'll look for the Elements. The group will then decide to
ask the Doc about it, so they go to the next room to find that girl standing
nearby. She challenges you to catch her, and then she'll run outside. When
Kid asks Serge about it, keep choosing to look for Mel and the chase will
begin.

Start by going down and out of the building and take the path left to the
next area. There, go left and enter the bar, and talk to Orlha. She'll tell
you that Mel hasn't been in the bar today, so leave the bar and climb up the
nearby ladder to the second floor. Then, head left to the next area and talk
to the guy blocking the entrance to the shaman's hut. Korcha will ask about
Mel and the guard will suggest visiting the residential tower. So, head right
to the next area and Mel will walk by, then run to the residential tower. Go
around the building and follow the path to the next area, then Korcha will
have a kid on the top floor block off the top exit. Now, your group will
enter the bottom door and corner Mel. She'll start crying and Kid will have
her Elements back. After a bit of talking, Korcha will leave the house and
meet you at the dock. So, reassemble your party to consist of Serge, Kid, and
Leena for now. Then, go down out of the house and climb the nearby ladder to
the second floor, then head left to the next area. Continue left around the
middle building (this is where the Element shop is located) and head left to
the following area. Go left and enter the shaman's hut. Now, remove all the
Elements allocated to Leena, then go to the Record of Fate and use the Tele-
porter to switch Leena for Guile. Now, save your game at this point. Now,
it's time to reallocate a lot of the Elements you have to Serge, Kid, and
Guile as follows:

Serge: (Level 1 Elements) Uplift, Fireball, Cure, PhotonRay
(Level 2 Elements) IceLance, Meteorite, Bushwhacker, ElectroJolt
(Level 3 Elements) MagmaBomb, AeroSaucer, Dash&Slash (Tech)
       (Level 4 Elements) Upheaval, RecoverAll

Kid: (Level 1 Elements) Cure, Revive, Fireball, Uplift
(Level 2 Elements) MagmaBomb, Fireball, AquaBeam, TurnRed
(Level 3 Elements) IceLance, AeroSaucer, Pilfer (Tech)
     (Level 4 Elements) MagmaBomb, RecoverAll

Guile: (Level 1 Element) Cure
       (Level 2 Element) PhotonRay
(Level 3 Elements) AeroSaucer, Wandaln (Tech)
       (Level 4 Elements) IceLance, Bushbasher

Now that your Elements are reallocated, save your game again if you want,
then exit the shaman's hut. Head right along the bridge to the next area,
then go down the ladder there to the first floor. From here, head right and
down to the next area. Then, continue right to the dock and talk to Korcha to
be able to return to Termina. Korcha will leave your party, but he'll still
take you to Termina safely.

Termina (Another World)
-----------------------

When you arrive in Termina again, go up the steps and follow the path right
to the next area. Go right and down the steps, then left to witness a
conversation between Glenn and the flower lady again. Your party will listen
in, then Kid will annoy Glenn for a moment. Glenn will tell you to go to an
island north and east of Termina before heading to Fort Dragonia. Then, he'll
leave the town. So, go back up the steps and head left to the previous area.
There, go left and down and talk to Korcha. He'll lend you his boat under two
conditions: you give the Dragon Tear to him, and that Kid agrees to become
his wife after everything is over. Just accept the offer and he'll lend you
the boat! Continue talking, then choose to "Take him with you" to recruit
him. Don't put in him your party, though. After Korcha swims back to Guldove,
go up to the boat and press X to depart Termina.

On the World Map, head up and right along the north shore of the main island
you were on. Then, go up and right, then down around that island with the
smoke coming out of it to reach the Hermit's Hideaway shoreline. Press X to
dock, then walk along the path to reach the burned out Hermit's Hideaway.

Hermit's Hideaway (Another World)
--------------------------------

When you enter this area, Harle will appear and say that she caused all this
destruction on the island. Talk to her until you enter a battle against her
(this is NOT a boss battle, don't worry). Just use regular attacks and White
Elements to cause the most damage to Harle. Keep attacking until she finally
runs away and you win the battle. After you win and Harle runs away, an old
man will appear and tell you about what happened. He'll then walk up a path
to his secret hideaway, so follow him up the path and down the ladder into
the hideaway. Talk to the old man, known as Radius, and he'll explain a whole
lot of stuff to you. He'll also warn you about the cursed spirits on the
seas, which makes Guile bring up something about a ghost ship. Radius will
let you stay for the night after you're done talking. On the next day, go
right down the steps and go up to the ladder and climb it to exit the
underground area. Now, just continue down the path to the ground, then head
south and out of this area completely.

Back on the World Map, head onto the boat and go south into the foggy area.
Choose to head into the fog and you will see a giant ship. The party will
then decide to board the large ghost ship, known as S.S. Invincible.

S.S. Invincible (Another World)
-------------------------------

Upon boarding the ghost ship, your party will be surrounded by the pirates
inhabiting the ship. Their captain, Fargo, will come out and question you
about going to Mount Pyre. After you're done talking to him, he'll have one
of his pirates get some enemies for you to battle (some Man-O-Wars). Just
have Serge use regular attacks, and be sure to use lots of White Elements to
defeat these enemies easily. After that, Fargo will unleash a giant flying
creature named Polly to attack you. Fight Polly by using regular attacks and
lots of Blue Elements since they cause the most damage. Be sure to use your
party's Tech Skills, as well as other attack Elements after the Blue Elements
run out. Be careful when Polly fights back because its attacks can take away
a big chunk of your character's energy. After you beat Polly, Fargo will
choose to challenge you as well. Fight using strong regular attacks, then use
all sorts of Elements to attack, especially the Red Elements. Keep your party
healed whenever Fargo attacks to prevent anyone from losing their hit points,
then just keep attacking until you defeat Fargo. After that, Fargo will make
your party go to sleep, and then a FMV will play. After the FMV is over, Kid
will warn Serge about something going on outside. Some ghosts will attack the
ship, and a crew member on the deck gets killed. After that, your party will
engage in a battle against two Crossbones. Defeat them quickly, then use the
Record of Fate nearby to save your game. Now, go down and out of this room.

Go left down the hallway and defeat the skeleton enemy fighting the pirate.
Then, enter the door to the right of where this fight took place and go into
that room. Defeat the enemy here, and then walk onto the small crate to reach
the elevated platform. Open the chest to get an AquaBall Element, then get
back down to the ground and leave this room. Before you do anything else, be
sure to allocate the AquaBall Element to Kid by removing the IceLance Element
she has, then replacing it with AquaBall. Continue left and down the hallway,
then open the chest at the very end to get a FirePillar Element. Now, go back
right to the ladder and climb up it to the next floor. There, go right and
enter the first door to reach the next room. Go up and left to the chest and
open it to get 5 Panacea Elements. Now, leave this room and go left since you
can't pass the fire to the right and defeat the enemies down here. Now, go
all the way back to the door near the fire and enter that room again. Go to
the upper-right corner of the room and press X to go through the vents to the
next room. Go right and open the chest to get some Capsules, then go down and
defeat the skeleton attacking the pirate. Then, just go down and out of this
room and head right down the hallway a little more. Talk to the pirate in the
way twice and he'll move for you, then go and talk to the tall man to get the
"key". Now, go back left and into that room, then go to the upper-left corner
of the room. Go through the vent into the next room, and then head down and
out of this room as well. Go left to the ladder and climb down to the lower
floor, and then go right.

Go all the way to the end of the hallway and press X to use the key and open
the door. Now, just continue right and into the next room. Here, defeat the
Dead Beat enemy that charges at you immediately. Then, go up and right down
the path to the next area, which is outside again. Head left and down the
ladder to the lower ledge. Then, just go right and up the steps and into the
next room. Go up and left through this room while defeating the Dead Beats
along the way. Talk to Pip, who is standing nearby and he'll run away to
another spot nearby. Go left and talk to him again and he'll run away a
second time. Go down and right, then down the first path and go left. Go up
the ramp and open the chest on the higher ledge to get a Gravitonne Element.
Then, make your way right and up and open that chest to get some more
Capsules. Go down and talk to Pip, who is in a hidden area where you can't
see it, but Pip will run again. Follow it left to the corner and talk once
more to recruit it into your group! Don't place it in your party, as always.
Now, follow the path right up the steps to the next floor. Open the chest to
get a PhotonBeam, then replace the Upheaval Element in Serge's level 4 space
with the PhotonBeam Element you just found. Then, go down to get outside
again and go right to the Record of Fate. Save your game, then go up the
ladder and the steps to reach the deck. When you get there, you'll have to
fight a couple of enemies. After that, you'll be told to help Captain Fargo
and your party will automatically go left to the next area.

Go up the steps and Fargo will fight off a couple of ghosts that were there
surrounding him. Choose to take control of the wheel and your group will
enter a boss battle against Dead Head. Read the Bosses section for help on
defeating this creature. After you defeat Dead Head, your party will gain
their 11th Star Level! After that's over, Fargo will talk for a moment, then
let you leave. You'll then be back on the World Map.

On the World Map, go up and take the rapidly moving path of water up to the
north area, then go left and up to the Earth Dragon Isle shore. Now, just
walk down and right into the actual Earth Dragon Isle.

Earth Dragon Isle (Another World)
---------------------------------

When you enter this area, go up all the way along the lower path until you
reach the man standing next to the giant hole. Go up to the hole and press X
to jump in. In the area you drop into, the sand will be moving to the left,
so quickly hold Circle and run to the lower-right area and drop onto the
regular ledge. Now, go left and down the ladder to a chest and open it to get
5 Brace Elements. Go back up that ladder and take the path right and down
past the guy, then drop down to the lower ledge. Go down the next 2 ladders
to reach the sandy floor of this place. I suggest you try not to engage in
battle at all during this visit to the isle because the battles will take way
too long, and they aren't worth it. So, just go left and down the path to the
next area. Here, go left and down to the chest, then open it to get 5 Capsule
Elements. Now, go back up and right to where you started, and then go down
the ladder to the next ledge. Head left and down and right along this path
all the way to the chest. Avoid battle along the way with the enemy roaming,
and then open the chest to get an Upheaval Element. Next, go left and up
along the path, then when it splits, continue up and right to the ladder.
Climb the ladder and go up into the next room. Go right and up the two
ladders, then press X at the hole to jump in and be shot back outside. When
you get there, head left along the path and down the ladder, then down to
exit this isle.

Back on the World Map, get on the boat and head south past Termina, all the
way to the smaller island to the south. It should be labeled as the Water
Dragon Isle shore. There, dock the boat and enter the Water Dragon Isle in
this world.

Water Dragon Isle (Another World)
---------------------------------

When you arrive in the Water Dragon Isle, you'll find that there isn't any
water around due to some water shortages here. The enemies you encounter here
aren't too powerful so you can fight them, but it's highly recommended you
equip one or two of your party members with some Medicine Elements to heal
the Freeze status effect in battle. Go up along the fallen column to reach
the main area, then make your way right and up to the ladder. Climb up 2
ladders, then go right and down another ladder to reach a chest. Open it to
get Iron, then go back up and down the ladders to the bottom area. Head all
the way left to the wall, then climb up the thin yellowish portion of it to
reach a chest containing Iron. Climb back down to the ground, then go right
and up around the obstruction in the path. Go up and climb the yellowish wall
to a higher ledge, then continue up the path and climb the next wall to reach
another area. Here, go up and left to a chest in a shady area, then open it
to get more Iron. Then, go right and talk to the blue fairy named Rosetta to
find out the Water Dragon isn't there. So, continue right and down as far as
you can go, then head right to another hidden chest. Open it to get Iron,
then go left and down to the next area. Climb down the 2 walls along the way
and continue down all the way out of the Water Dragon Isle.

On the World Map again, get onto your boat and head north to Arni Village.
When you dock near the village, go left and down to Opassa Beach.

Opassa Beach (Another World)
----------------------------

At Opassa Beach, go left and find that green wormhole and use the Astral
Amulet to warp to the Home World. Then, just go right and onto the World Map
again.

When you reach the World Map yet again, go up and right and enter Arni
Village.

Arni Village (Home World)
-------------------------

When you enter Arni Village, go up the path all the way to the dock. There,
talk to Leena and she'll think you played a magic trick on her the first time
you warped from Opassa Beach. After that, talk to the guy sitting at the edge
of the dock and have him take you to Water Dragon Isle for 100G. He'll then
take you by boat to the Water Dragon Isle.

Water Dragon Isle (Home World)
------------------------------

When you get here, the guy that took you here will tell you to go looking for
the fairies that live on the isle. So, go up to the lily pad and press X to
ride it to a small island in the pond. From there, go up and ride that lily
pad to the next stop. Go down and ride that lily pad to the next platform,
and then ride the second one to reach another ledge. Go up the path and climb
up the yellowish wall into a shallow water area, then go up and right to a
chest. Open it to get an AquaBall Element. Now, go back down that wall and
down the path to the lily pad, then ride it to the previous ledge. Use the
one to the right to get to the next ledge, then go up and ride that one to
reach yet another island. Ride the lower-right one to the next island, and
then ride the next lily pad you see to another stop. Go up the ladder, then
down the next one to a chest. Open it to get an IceBlast Element. Climb up
and down the ladders to the lily pad and ride it to the next island. Ride the
next lily pad, then go up and ride the following one to another platform.
Save your game via the Record of Fate if you want, then go up and before
climbing the wall, go right into the water and press X by the waterfall to
get an Iron. Now, go back left and climb the wall to reach the next area.
When you enter this area, you'll see the dwarves have taken over the fairy
community. After the dwarves, including the chief leave, go around the area
and defeat all the dwarves wandering around. Make sure to get to the lower-
right area and open the chest to get a Nimble Element. After you clear the
area of dwarves, climb the ladder with the cave at the top and enter the next
area. Here, the dwarves and their chief will engage in a battle against you.
Read the Bosses section to find out how to beat the dwarves again. After you
win the battle, the chief and a couple of dwarves will retreat.
Now, continue up the path and go left, then climb down the long ladder to the
lower area. There, defeat a couple of dwarves if you want, and then go down
into the next area. Defeat the two dwarves to the left, then save your game
at the Record of Fate. After you do that, go right and down the two ladders
to the next ledge. Go left and enter the small cave behind the waterfall,
then defeat the dwarf guarding the chest. Open the chest to get a Scaley
Dress, then equip it on Kid as her new Armor. Then, exit the cave and
continue left to the next ladder going down. Climb down to the lower ledge
and head right to confront the dwarves again. They'll engage in another boss
battle with you, so read the Bosses section to find out how to defeat them,
as well as their giant Hi-Ho Tank.

After you defeat it, your team will gain a Star Level and a raise in some
stats. When the dwarves finally die, continue right to find a fairy lying on
the ground. Serge will check it to find out it's already dead. So, continue
up to the next area. Go up the path and your group will meet the Water
Dragon. It'll talk to you for a moment, then give you the Ice Breath, as well
as the FrogPrince Summon Element! The Ice Breath will allow you to freeze the
burning magma in Mount Pyre. You'll then be brought to the entrance of the
fairy village, where the fairies will be upset at the humans, then ask Razzly
to leave your group. Razzly will decide to stay with you for a while, then
you'll leave the area. When you reappear in the next area, go down and ride
the lily pad to the small island. Ride the one to the left, then the one to
the right across the pond. Ride the lily pad to the left, then go down and
talk to the fisherman to return to Arni Village.

Arni Village (Home World)
-------------------------

After you return to the dock at Arni Village, go up and into the actual
village area. Then, just continue down and along the right path to completely
exit the village and return to the World Map.

When you appear on the World Map again, head southwest to Opassa Beach.

Opassa Beach (Home World)
-------------------------

As usual, head left to the beach area to find the green wormhole, then use
the Astral Amulet to warp to Another World. When you arrive, go right and
onto the World Map again.

On the World Map, go right and board your boat to get to the larger map. Now,
go northwest to the mountainous island, where Guldove is nestled within.

Guldove (Another World)
-----------------------

When you enter Guldove, go up and left to the next area. There, go left and
up the ladder, then right into that hut. Talk to the masked person that sells
Elements, then buy the MeteorShower, PhotonBeam, GravityBlow, Gravitonne,
HellSoul, and HellBound Elements. Now, leave the shop and go left and down
the ladder. Then, go right to the next area and continue onto your boat to
leave Guldove.

Back on the World Map, simply head east around the island, then go to
Termina. After you dock nearby, just walk around the bend and enter Termina.

Termina (Another World)
-----------------------

When you enter Termina, go up and enter the Inn. De-equip all of Kid's
Elements, and then step into the Record of Fate diamond. Now, use the Tele-
Porter to replace Kid with Leena, then leave the Inn. Go up the steps and
enter Lisa's Element Shop. There is a better selection here, as well as
Guldove this time around. Anyway, buy an AquaBall, HealAll, and maybe another
IceLance Element. Then, leave the shop and go right to the next area. Head up
the path going north to reach the following area. There, enter the Smithy
nearby and have the following equipment forged: Steel Swallow, Ladle Fe26,
Iron Rod, 3 Iron Mails, and that's it. Equip all that stuff to your current
crew (Serge, Leena, Guile), then have all the old equipment disassembled or
sold. Now, leave the Smithy and go down to the previous area. Head down and
left to the following area, then head down the steps to exit Termina.

Now that you've gotten some more Elements and new equipment, it is time to
re-arrange your Elements before taking on Mount Pyre:

Serge: (Level 1 Elements) Revive, Uplift, Fireball, Cure, PhotonRay
(Level 2 Elements) IceLance, Meteorite, AeroSaucer, ElectroJolt
(Level 3 Elements) RecoverAll, AquaBall, Dash&Slash (Tech)
(Level 4 Elements) PhotonBeam, ElectroBolt, MagmaBomb
       (Level 5 Element) MeteorShower

Leena: (Level 1 Elements) AquaBeam, Cure, Fireball, Uplift, GravityBlow
(Level 2 Elements) AeroSaucer, IceLance, PhotonRay, ElectroJolt
(Level 3 Elements) PhotonBeam, AquaBall, MaidenHand (Tech)
(Level 4 Elements) Upheaval, RecoverAll, Bushbasher
       (Level 5 Element) FrogPrince (Summon)

Guile: (Level 1 Element) AquaBeam
       (Level 2 Element) IceLance
(Level 3 Elements) PhotonBeam, Wandaln (Tech)
       (Level 4 Elements) Bushbasher, AquaBall
       (Level 5 Element) HealAll

After you finish with your new Element lineup here, go up and around and
board your boat. Now, head down and right around the central island, then go
to the east section to find Pyre Shore. Dock the boat there and head up into
Mount Pyre.

Mount Pyre (Another World)
--------------------------

When you enter Mount Pyre, you must realize that there is boiling hot lava in
many areas. For each second your party is in that lava, you'll lose 10 HP, so
make your trips into the lava QUICK! Anyway, from the start, go up into the
lava and quickly go left and open the chest to get a MagmaBurst Element. Now,
get back onto that platform you were on and use Capsules to recover your
party's health. Now, use the Ice Breath to freeze the molten lava so you can
walk freely across it. Then, head up the path to where it splits, and then
head up the left path. At the top, go left and open the chest to get 5
Tablets. Now, continue up the path and climb up into the next area. Here,
you'll enter yet another battle against Solt and Peppor.

As in all your other encounters with these two guys, you seem to learn
something new about Elements. This time, Solt and Peppor will demonstrate how
to use a "Trap" Element, so pay attention. After their demonstration is over
and Peppor attacks Solt, you'll be able to attack. Use regular attacks to
fight each one separately. Be sure to use some Green Elements here and there
to make the battle go a bit quicker. After you defeat one of them, just
repeat the same process on the second one until this battle ends. Too bad you
don't gain a Star Level from this fight. After the two guys run away,
continue all the way up the path to the next area. There, go up to the lava
and use Ice Breath to freeze it. Unless you wanted that Inferno Trap Element,
you should just freeze this area. Anyway, head right to the end and open the
chest at the end to get 5 more Tablets. Go left a tiny bit from there and go
up the steps to the higher ledge, then open that chest to get 5 Capsules.
Now, go back down the steps and head left and up the path all the way to the
Record of Fate. Save your game, then continue into the next area.

Here, go up and you'll see a giant creature stuck in a hole nearby. A small
dragon will then run up and challenge you to a fight, which you automatically
enter. Here, you'll be fighting the Firedragon (NOT the actual Fire Dragon
god), so read the Bosses section for help on defeating it. After you beat it
and gain the Star Level/better stats, continue up the path until someone
stops you. The Dragoon Devas will appear in front of you (Karsh, Marcy, and
Zoah). After a quick conversation, your party will enter another battle
against all 3 of them. Read the Bosses section for help on defeating them.
When you defeat the group, you'll gain the 15th Star Level, as well as some
better stats for your current characters. After they run away, Harle will
appear again as you try to move. She'll try to keep you from continuing on
your journey, so just choose to keep going and she'll leave. Now, just go up
and out of Mount Pyre. You'll also be able to view a VERY familiar FMV from
the beginning area of the game.

After the FMV ends, your party will be on the World Map in the center of the
mountain areas. Now, just go around the middle structure and enter Fort
Dragonia.

Fort Dragonia (Another World)
-----------------------------

When you enter this large and confusing fort, go up and around to the next
area. (Note that you may have to fight a Dragoon here, if you didn't choose
to save Kid earlier.) Here, go up across the really long bridge to the
following room. In this new room, go left and save your game at the Record of
Fate. Now, before you continue, you should notice that your party finally has
their Level 5 Tech Skills, as well as a new Level 2 space on their grids
(except Guile). Allocate the GravityBlow Element in Serge's new space on the
grid, and the MagmaBomb Element in Leena's new space. Now, head right and
enter the first door to the far right. Here, go right across the long bridge
to the following area, and then keep going into the next room. In this
puzzling room, there is a dragon statue facing in a certain direction. The
dragon is facing to the north, even if it doesn't look like it, so if it's
facing to the left, north is the left gap, east is the top gap, and so on.
Press X by the statue and get through that puzzle so you fall in the left
gap. There, go down and to the red crystal to fully replenish your party's
Star Levels. After that, go up and left to the next area. Here, go left and
up the ladder to the high ledge, then go right into the room with the dragon
statue. This time, try to fall into the south pit to reach the next room.
Here, walk around and open all 4 chests to get a Flame Charm, a FirePillar
Element, a MagmaBurst Element, and a Volcano Trap Element. Replace the
MagmaBomb allocated to Serge with the MagmaBurst one. Then, go left to the
next area and climb up to the higher ledge, and then go right to the room
with the dragon statue again. This time around, play the puzzle so you fall
in the hole to the right and land in the room below.

When you land in the room below, head right and up around the path to the red
crystal, then go up to it and press X to deactivate it. After that, go down
all the way to the bottom, and then go left to the next room. Here, just go
left and climb up to the higher ledge, but this time, go left a couple
screens back to that middle room with the Record of Fate. Here, go up and
enter the second door from the right. Head up the bridge to the next area,
then go up and left up the steps. Then, continue around the path to the next
room. In this room, just follow the path all the way around, then follow the
path down through the room to the very end. There, you can open a chest to
get the Tornado Trap Element. Be sure to allocate it immediately to a party
member because you'll need it soon! Now, go back around that path to the part
where you can either go left or up, then choose to continue up. Go up the
steps along the way and follow the path to the following area.

Here, go down to the following room. Here, go down and open the chest to get
an AeroBlaster Element. Now, go up to the previous room and go up the steps.
G up to the higher ledge, then follow the path around to the next room.
Follow the path until you reach a blue switch. Go up to the switch and press
X to lower steps nearby to make access to the lower area much easier. Now, go
down those new steps and right down the steps, and then go up into the next
area. Head up and down the steps, then go right. Go right and down, then take
the other path left and up the steps to the higher ledge. Open the chests to
the left and right to get the Bushbasher and HealAll Elements. Now, go right
down the steps and go up the path all the way left and down into the next
area. Open the chest to get 4 Antidotes, then go back up to the previous
area.

Here, follow the path to the end and go down the steps, then go left through
the upper pathway. Go left and up the steps, then go down to the next room.
In this room, go down to the steps leading left, and go up them. Continue
left up the next set of steps, then go left and up to the next room. Follow
the path all the way up into the following room. Here, go up and you'll enter
a fight against the giant Taurusoid. Read the Bosses section for help on
defeating it. After you win the battle, you'll gain a Star Level, some better
stats, and a new space on Serge and Leena's Element Grids! Now, go up to the
green crystal's altar and press X to deactivate that crystal. Then, go back
down and exit this room and continue all the way down into the following
area. Here, head down and directly right, going down the two sets of steps.
Then, just go down the path to the next room. Go all the way down that long
bridge to the main area again. Here, save your game with the Record of Fate,
then enter the upper-left room. Before you continue here, it's time to re-
arrange/allocate a couple of Elements real quick. For Serge, just put the
Gravitonne Element in his new Level 3 space. As for Leena, move the Upheaval
Element she has in a Level 4 space down to that new Level 3 space. Then, put
the MagmaBurst Element in the now free Level 4 space. Now that you're set up,
head all the way up the path in the upper-left room you just entered to reach
the following room. Head left around the room and you'll come across 2 chests
next to each other. Open the bottom one to make the large platform swing
around so you can walk on it. Now, go up and right along that platform, then
go all the way right and up to 2 more chests.

Don't do anything to the two chests here for now. Instead, just go up and
around the wall and continue left and up to the end. Open the right chest to
make a platform swing around in front of a door nearby. Now, go back down and
right to the second group of chests, then go around the wall and continue all
the way left into the next room. Go left and open the chest to get a Sea
Charm, then exit the room. Go all the way right to the chests, then go up and
left along the upper path to the chests at the end. Open the right chest and
keep the left chest closed. Then, go right along the path to the next group
of chests and open the right one and close the left one. Now, go back left
and up to the end and walk around the wall. Now, go down and right along the
middle platform, then down to the blue switch. Press X to lower a small
staircase next to you for easy access. Now, enter the room next to you, but
before you go anywhere else, you must change your Element lineup slightly.
Allocate 5 Medicine Elements to 2 of your characters in the Level 2 slots
(you should have the 10 I told you to buy early in the game). Now, continue
up the path and towards the crystal. A giant blob-like creature will suddenly
appear and you'll enter battle against it. Read the Bosses section for help
on defeating this creature, known as GiantGloop. After you defeat it and gain
another Star Level, as well as a couple more spaces on Serge's and Leena's
Element Grids. Now, go up to the altar and press X to deactivate the blue
crystal. Then, exit the room and go down the steps and down into the next
area, then continue down the bridge to the main room. Go down and save your
game at the Record of Fate right now. Before we continue, here's the list of
what Elements should be allocated to each character in your party:

Serge: (Level 1 Elements) Revive, Uplift, Fireball, Cure, PhotonRay,
                          GravityBlow
(Level 2 Elements) MagmaBomb, IceLance, Meteorite, AeroSaucer,
                          ElectroJolt
(Level 3 Elements) PhotonBeam, RecoverAll, AquaBall, Dash&Slash (Tech)
(Level 4 Elements) MeteorShower, ElectroBolt, MagmaBurst
(Level 5 Elements) FreeFall (Trap), Luminaire (Tech)

Leena: (Level 1 Elements) AquaBeam, Cure, Fireball, Uplift, GravityBlow,
                          PhotonRay
(Level 2 Elements) MagmaBomb, AeroSaucer, IceLance, Meteorite,
                          ElectroJolt
(Level 3 Elements) Gravitonne, PhotonBeam, AquaBall, MaidenHand (Tech)
(Level 4 Elements) Upheaval, RecoverAll, AeroBlaster
(Level 5 Elements) FrogPrince (Summon), MaidenHeart (Tech)

Guile: (Level 1 Element) AquaBeam
       (Level 2 Element) IceLance
(Level 3 Elements) PhotonBeam, Wandaln (Tech)
       (Level 4 Elements) Bushbasher, HealAll
(Level 5 Elements) IceBlast, WandaSwords (Tech)

Now, go left and enter the room you haven't yet entered. Head all the way
left across the bridge and into the following room. Here, go down and left
until you're able to go up, then head up and left. Continue until you can go
up between the boundaries again, then go left and down and go up the steps to
the higher level. Now, go left and up into the next room. In this room, go
left and press X to read the inscription on the pedestal. Your party will be
standing on 3 sets of footprints, and the game will tell you what order
you're in. Say your party lineup is Serge, Leena, and Guile in that order,
then the game says "head, tail, then body", it means Serge is considered the
head, Leena the tail, and Guile the body. The order that your party is in
when pressing X and stepping on those footprints affects the layout of the
circular maze of a room you're in. There's also a bluish tile outside this
room that'll slightly switch the order of two of your characters when you
step on it. You can also change your lineup by pressing Select, but you can
only get ALL the different orders by standing on that blue tile. Anyway, now
that you know which character is what part, arrange your party so it's in the
"body, tail, then head" lineup and step on those footprints. After the room
shakes, exit the room and go down and around the steps. Continue up the other
path and cross to the other platform where you can open a chest to get an
Earth Chest. Now, get back to that room with the footprints and arrange your
lineup so it's now "head, body, then tail". If you need to use that blue tile
in order to get that arrangement, go ahead and do so. After you arrange your
party like that, activate the footprints and exit the room.

Now, go down and right across the block to the ledge with the blue switch.
Press X by the switch to lower steps on the other side of the room. After
that, go back down and left, then up to the footprint room. Press Select a
couple times to rearrange your party so it's "tail, head, then body", and
enter the footprint room and activate them. Exit this room and go down, then
use the steps to get to the lower area and continue up and right. Continue
along the path until you can go down, then go down and left and down in
between the boundaries again.
