I. Version Info
v.0.2 Started the FAQ. Added most of the sections and some of the
walkthrough until the Bull-fighting arena.

v.0.3 Sorry for the long delay in this update. I took a vacation. Also
too much of Wild ARMs 2, Front Mission 3 and Vagrant Story. Continued
the walkthrough until halfway through Dun Webb. Then my PC busted and I
had to change my email.

II. Introduction
Alundra 2 is the sequel to the critically acclaimed(well, mostly
anyway)game Alundra. This sequel is now in full 3D and chock-full of
surprises. Although I favor the 2D look, the game made a wonderful
transition to 3D. If you've seen Contra 3D you would know what I mean.
Puzzles are a bit easier now. Not as enjoyable as the first one but it
is a great game nonetheless. Very recommended.

III. Main Characters

Flint - Main character of the game. He's the guy you use. A young boy
with short red hair. A renowned pirate hunter whose mother got killed by
the pirates. He is wanted for going against Baron Diaz and the pirates.

Alexia - Daughter of the King of Varuna.

Baron Diaz - Villain who replaces the king with a wooden puppet after
locking him up with the help of the pirates. Jeez those stupid people
don't notice? He also teams up with the palace wizard, Mephisto.

Zeppo, Ruby, Albert - Idiotic pirates who teamed up with Baron Diaz.

Mephisto - The palace wizard who aids Baron Diaz. Uses wind-up keys to
turn people and animals into androids.

IV. Weapons and Items
A. Weapons
1. Long Sword - You start of with this. Weak but is better than
nothing. ATK 1
2. Bronze Sword - Slightly stronger than the Long Sword. Buy it at
the Paco item shop for 500 bucks. ATK 2
3. Buckler Shield - A basic shield. DEF 1
4. Small Shield - A purple shield. Buy it at the Toroledo item shop.
DEF 2
B. Recovery Items
1. Herb - Heals around 100 HP.
2. Tonic - Heals around 300 HP
C. Misc. Items
Gauntlet - Allows you to use the Sunburst attack.

V. Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do you get the Dwarf Stone?
A: Well, I really don't know but expect it in one of the future versions
of the FAQ.

VI. Walkthrough

As soon as you start a new game, you are presented with the option
to start a game on easy or normal. Default is normal and this
walkthrough follows normal as well. I will be using N,S,E,W,NE,NW,SE
and SW for directions.

 Airship
You start inside the airship. First of all, rotate the screen to
make the ledge which you cannot jump on be on the north side of the
screen. BTW follow all the instructions on the screen. Lets all pretend
that the ledge is NORTH. Run east past the conveyor belt (jump to make
it faster). Head north. Jump over the blocks here. Head north some more
until you reach some spikes. Jump past them and rotate the screen again
if you need to(I find it easier jumping when the camera is at a side
view perspective). Run and jump past the next set of spikes. Follow the
path NW until you see an opening. Go SW into this opening. Open the
chest and get your first herb. Equip it into your pocket. Follow the
path west, then SW, then SE into another opening with yet another herb.
Continue SW and S. Destroy the obstacle and head E. Rotate the screen to
make the ladder be at the north side of the screen. Climb it up.

Watch the cutscene. You will be in the storage room. Grab the
strange key on the ground. Make the door be on the north and exit(why
didn't they put a damn compass into this game?!?). You will be in the
cabin. Head N towards he door there. Listen to Zeppo and family for a
while but they will hear you. Bash the switch near the door and the
previously locked doors will be unlocked. Head to the southern door next
to the storage, the bathroom. Kill the guy there and grab whatever he
leaves behind. Head into any of the other two doors and follow the path
to the place with the three wind up guys below you, the rear deck. Jump
down and take them out. Get the chest which drops down. Head into the
door one of the robots was guarding. Heal and save here(don't forget the
treasure) and head back to the cabin. Watch the cutscene.

BOSS 1:
 Zeppo HP 80

Easy. When he does the wave attack, jump over it and slash him with a
jumping slash. When he does his butt stomp, dodge and hit him while he
recovers. You can move only horizontally during this battle.

     Watch the cutscene.

BOSS 2:
 Wind-up Guy(or something like that) HP 100
Wind-up Soldiers HP 20

Easy. Keep an herb in that pocket as you might have gotten hurt from the
previous battle. Use a retreat-attack pattern. Always run during your
retreat and assault. Brings out soldiers to aid him but they easily
defeated. Don't be careless and stay alert with your health. It might be
going down faster than you think.

Paco

Watch the long cutscenes. Lord Prunewell will find you unconscious
on the beach(just like the way Jess found Alundra). You will wake up in
a house. Talk to the mother in front of the door. Also talk to the old
man. Head back to the bed and a scene will commence. Meet Alexia,
Princess of Varuna. Woah! Answer her question(I don't think it matters).
Join her. Talk to the kid and Alexia. Head out. Explore and get familiar
with the places in Paco. Talk to the villager guarding the exit to Paco.
After the scene, he will block your exit Ocarina of Time style. Head to
the building nearest to the exit. Buy a Bronze Sword and Small Life
Crest. If you cant afford them(which you obviously cannot so there is no
point in me writing this section), come back later. Familiarize yourself
with all the locations. Go up the large gray stairs and follow the first
path that branches out from it. Talk to the girl at the end of the path.
Visit the bathroom near the girl. Save at the top of the stairs if you
wish and go back to the Village Elder's house. Talk to everyone and
head to the item shop. Buy an herb or two. Head to the exit previously
blocked by the villager and head to Kindra Forest.

Kindra Forest

Follow the path. Destroy the bushes for some moolah. Kill the two
monkeys and get the herb from the chest that drops down. Follow the
path, past the bridge and eliminate the killer monkeys with sticks of
death and striped boxers. Get the herb from the chest and follow the
path even more. You will meet Prunewell in the next screen. First puzzle
of the game. Dum dum dum dum. It is simple actually pick up the block,
throw it without advancing, pick it up again and throw it again. Jump on
the box to get to the ledge. Head into the opening and give the merchant
there an herb. He will give you the compass(YES)which drastically makes
my walkthrough writing easier. Go back out after putting it in your
pocket. Head east(use the compass). Another puzzle. Push the southern
block east. Advance. Kill the two gnomes and the platform will begin to
move. Head south past the bridge if you want some money from the bushes.
Jump on the platform, jump west to the brown ledge and go up to higher
ground. Follow the path here. Remember to clear out the leaves. By this
time, I had 600 bucks. The black chest is empty so don't bother opening
it. Follow the path north to the next screen. Prunewell will catch up to
you. Push the eastern block and pull the western block. Proceed. There
is a hidden path westwards. There is a chest at the western end with
100 gold. Prunewell again. Follow the shortcut he passed from and get
the chest there with a PUZZLE PIECE. Head back. Step on the switch and a
platform will appear. Go north to the higher platform by jumping on the
moving platform. Go north and kill all the gnomes and the two blocks at
the end of the narrow pathway will disappear. Heal at the healing point
and follow the arrow east. Go past the bridge. Enter the house. Talk to
Finrod and he will move away from the door he was blocking. Exit. Get
the herb from the chest. Go up the ledge and follow the arrow. Go up the
path that branches north. You have cleared Kindra Forest. Head back to
Paco to restock and save if you want. Heal at one of the villager's
house. Buy a Bronze Sword and Small Life Crest. Head over to Mt.
Sparrowhawk.

Mt. Sparrowhawk
You will meet Alexia here. She gives you another PUZZLE PIECE(I'm
making them all caps now so when I find out what they do, I can list
them in a separate area without looking too hard). She will show you
something. There is a cave here where you can heal in case you didn't
return to Paco. Look for a purple guy and approach him. Talk with
Alexia. Follow her. Avoid the steam in the next room. Make your way up
the spiral. When you reach the large platform with four holes in the
corners, jump west and SW to a chest with two herbs. You must jump on
the platform first before getting the one directly west as you can't
reach it by jumping directly from the large platform. Head up and go
west to the bathroom. Get the chest here with yet another herb. Go east
to the cabin and east again to the Warehouse. Go in the crack in the
wall. Heal and save here. Go to the rising platform(don't obscure its
path). Approach Alexia. Talk to her again once you regain control of
Flint. Exit through the door where light is shining from. Cutscene.
Battle time! To defeat these guys, stay near the middle and lure them to
you. Whack them as they walk towards you. They will try to approach you
again after getting and this the perfect time to whack them again. Try
to get past them and jump into the hole. Heal here. Watch another
cutscene.

BOSS 3:
Pandora HP 160
Hit him while running and dodge the charging attack he performs
afterwards.
Another way is to hit him when he stops and sets up for his charge
attack. Always run with him so that when he stops, you can bash him
before he performs his charge attack. He will execute a charge attack as
he gets up so dodge and attack while he is recovering. While running
with him though, don't get in his way though as he will run you over.
Don't touch him with anything other than your sword as you will take
damage. After 80 damage he will change his pattern. He will jump to one
of the four platforms and breath fire . Avoid this. He will then perform
a charge attack which you hopefully dodge. Hit him while he recovers. He
will then go to another platform and repeat the process. He will always
go to the platform nearest to you when you hit him or he hits you. If
neither of you hit each other, he will run around and do the first
pattern until one of you is hit. When that happens, he will start doing
the fire-breathing pattern again. Tough so make sure you have at least 3
herbs if its your first time against him. Phew!

A giant piggy bank and a black chest will fall. Grab all the gold
Coins before they disappear. Open the chest to find a big life crest(Max
HP+100). Head south and talk to Alexia. Return to Paco. A scene will
commence while you are passing through Kindra Woods. Exit Finrod's
house. Alexia will follow you. Watch the cutscene. You will be in the
ruins of Paco. Talk to the old woman in the house with the healing
point. Exit and get the black chest in the area for a PUZZLE PIECE. Talk
to all the villagers and pray at Jeehan's statue. Jump on the G. You
will be teleported to Jeehan's house. Talk with him. Exit Jeehan's
house. Talk to Alexia. Exit. Mosey over to Tortuga Beach.

Tortuga Beach

Alexia storms off. Follow her. Get the chest with an herb in the
area. Go up the ramp and jump on the blocks to get to higher ground. Go
down the ramp and head SW, then NW. Dodge the annoying birds. Destroy
the statue on the platform. Jump from platform to platform to get to
higher ground. Destroy the statue on the third platform by landing on
the very edge and slashing it 3 times. Destroy the statue in the area
and get the chest with 100 gold. Continue N to the next screen.
Continue N and a rock will drop. Use it as the destruction of the yellow
statues. Head up the stairs and follow the path here to an herb head
back and continue along the path going S. Head up the ramp going west.
Pick up the torch and head east then north. Throw the torch at the bomb
above the block. Collect the PUZZLE PIECE in the chest. Go back to where
you got the torch. Head N, down the ramp. Destroy the statue here and
step on the switch. Use the water to blow up(Wha?)the statue. Get the
100 gold from the chest it was holding. Step on the switch again and use
water to destroy the two statues further west. You have to be two paces
away if you want to hit them dead on including the one with the chest.
Heal and continue west. Follow the path that branches north and use the
platforms there to get to the ledge with a chest containing an Herb(is
it "an herb" or "a herb"?). Continue west, then north up the path. Jump
from block to block and jump on the switch on the last one. Use the now
rising platform to your advantage and get to higher ground. Follow the
path, up the platform then on the barricade and down again. Continue.
Kill the 3 monsters and the blockade will lower. Get the 200 Gold in the
chest and continue. Slide at the obstructions twice to make them drop.
Continue until you see a scene. Head N up the platform. Talk to Alexia
and head to Toroledo.

Talk to Alexia. Look around to familiarize yourself with the
places. Go behind the inn into the door and to get to the Inn Warehouse.
Get the PUZZLE PIECE. Head to the item shop and trade the Strange Key
for the Hand Carved Cow. Buy a Small Shield. There is a tonic in a chest
in the warehouse which is next to the item shop. Head to the inn and
talk to the old man. Answer yes twice. Save upstairs. Jump out the
window to the next house from the bathroom and get the PUZZLE PIECE in
the chest here. Exit and head to the bull arena. Its a screen east.
Watch the cutscene. Head east to the ranch. From the main doorway, head
south and follow the path until you get to the very end. Get the PUZZLE
PIECE in the chest. Backtrack a bit to the statue of Jeehan. Pray and
then enter. If you followed the walkthrough up until now, talk to
Jeehan's apprentice and receive the gauntlet which allows you to use the
sunburst attack. Also learn the 2 hit combo from Jeehan. Head inside the
pen. Talk to the people in the barn. Head back to the main town. Head N
and halfway past the bridge there will be a cutscene. Watch. Head back
to the Bull Arena. Head up the nearby stairs. Watch the cutscene. Head
to Pierre's house. Pass by the door. Exit to Mithra Valley.

Mithra Valley
Watch the scene. Enter the Ox Tank. There is a save point and a
healing circle up the ladder west from where you enter. Head back down.
Jump on the small platform and hit the switch. Go west up the wooden
stairs until you reach the end of the path. Hit the switch there again.
Go inside the door that just opened and get the key from the chest. Go
back and hit the switch again. Go in the northmost door with the key.
Jump on the switch. Get the PUZZLE PIECE in the black chest nearby. Jump
on the other switch. Exit and enter the southern door. Jump on the
switch. Enter the new door. Grab the torch and throw it on the bomb on
top of the block. Follow this path until there is a ladder. Go down and
defeat the two monsters. After you defeat them, the block blocking off
the ladder will disappear. Go up. Climb the ladder south of where you
come out. Get the bomb and place it near the block(don't put it on
top!).Lure the monsters near the bomb so that they will breath fire on
it. The block will blow up. Get the PUZZLE PIECE from the black chest.
Continue through the door. Watch the scene. Get the key from the chest.
Return to the previous room. Climb up the ladder(where you got the
bomb). Open the door with your key. Jump down. Go up the ladder in the
Northeast corner and exit. Healing circle here. Go north to the next
room. Jump over the barrels to the switch. Jump on it. Return to the
room with the healing circle. Step on the platform. Take the western
elevator up. There will be a short scene involving Alexia. Get the chest
with the herb and jump on the switch. Return to the previous floor. Kill
the monsters and jump on the newly-activated elevator. Head all the way
to the top floor. Kill the dog monster and get the 100 bucks from the
chest. Continue north. Go down the ladder. Head west and jump down to
the very next level then continue west. Head south along the bridge. Get
the key from the chest. Return to the previous room and drop down to the
lowest level. Head south. You will be back at the room with the healing
circle and elevator. Go up. Take the eastern elevator once and head
north. Head west to a door. Open it with your key. Head right and down
the bridge. Kill the monkeys. Take the eastern elevator up. Kill the
monster if you want and head south to the next screen. Jump down to the
switch. Head to the lowest level and head north to the next screen.
Trigger the bomb with the torch and get the key from the chest. Head up
the ramp and go north one screen. Now take the western elevator. Use the
key on the locked door here. Head to the very end of the path. Head up
the stairs and hit the switch. Make a run for it. Follow the path. Jump
when you are on the line. Once you make it, blow up the block with the
torch and the bomb. Jump on the switch. Climb up the ladder which was
revealed. There is a tonic in the chest. Either lure or knock the
enemies into two of the dents and jump into the third one. If you kill
them, more will be generated. Climb up the ladder. Get 200 bucks from
the chest in the ledge north of the room. To get to the top, start at
the very edge of the platform, run and jump to the next one when you
reach the edge. The platforms will be formed in a spiral manner. Hit the
switch on the top and go up the ladder. Heal and save here. Jump on the
switch. Go up. Watch the cutscene.

Boss 4:
Mutox HP 200
The first part of this battle is a high speed chase down a ramp. Items
you can get here are the gold coin(20 bucks), silver coin(10),
Boulder(temporarily stop Mutox), Tonics(restores 300 hp) and
rockets(give you a temporary speed boost. There will be 5 checkpoints.
You can start from them if you get hit or fall down. The gauge to the
right of the screen shows your progress. The Cs are checkpoints, you are
the blue arrow, the G is the goal and Mutox is the red arrow.
Here is the complete list of items.
Silver Coin:50
Gold Coin: 12
Tonic:4
The different ratings are:
CONGRATULATIONS! PERFECT SCORE! ITEMS AND GOLD DOUBLED.
Pretty good but nothing to get excited about.
My mother could do better than you(or something like that).
(I don't know the rest, if you know tell me)
When you reach the goal, the real fight begins. Dodge all his punches
and don't attack him because he will just block your attacks. Instead,
lure him near the boulder so that he will punch it. It will roll around
the room. Mutox will just stand still while the boulder is rolling. Stay
near so that the boulder will hit him and dizzy him. Use this
opportunity to attack him with a two hit combo. Repeat. After you
inflict 80 damage, he will do his spinning attack after you dodge a few
of his jabs. He will bounce around the room three times aiming for where
you are. Stay on the move to dodge it. Dodge it and he will get dizzy
after he stops. Hit him and repeat. With all the Tonics you got from the
first part, he should be no problem.

Get the Big Life Crest and the cash. Exit the room. Head to the entrance
of the tank. Alexia will meet you there. Watch the scene and return to
Toroledo. Jump over the spiked ball. Talk to the people at the bull
arena area and then the old man near Pierre's house. Head to Howling
Cave. Watch the scene with Pierre. Follow Pierre east. Put the bomb near
one of the switches, ignite it with a torch and hit the other switch
when the bomb explodes. Before you go up, use the torches to burn the
spiky wood things to your east on the higher platform by throwing them
up there. Go up but don't enter the door yet. Head east and get the
PUZZLE PIECE from the chest previously covered by those spiky wood
things. Head north. Go to Deadeye Zach's. Pierre will leave. Play darts
if you wanna. Go back to Howling Cave. Watch the scene. Use the other
rock as a step to the next platform north. Do the same on the next
platform. Continue North. Go to Dun Webb. Talk to everyone. Enter the
door to the west. The house is actually a place where Mephisto turns
humans into monsters with his keys. Go up the ladder. Head west and get
the tonic. Exit to the east. Follow the path until you get to a door. Go
east then south and watch the scene. Go west and save if you want to. Do
a running jump and get the PUZZLE PIECE from the platform if you want to
as well. Exit and continue the path around the balcony. Don't go into
the door just up the ladder but continue right to an herb. Go back to
the door and enter. Get the darts from the chest just west of you.
Before you continue west, get the puzzle piece, herb and tonic from the
chests. Go west. You will be spit out a chute. Head east and go up the
stairs. Go into the door just above the ladder. Watch the cutscene. Kill
all the monsters and the door to the southeast will open. Climb the
ladder and go in. Jump on the switch and dodge the spike balls using
their shadows. Head west and south down the stairs. Don't go near the
doors that suck air. Go east, slide at the obstacle, Jump on the switch
and get the herb. Go east up the stairs. Go north dodging the spikes and
hit the switch. Hit the other switch in the southeast section and the
doors in the room will be unlocked. Go east. Watch the scene.

To be Continued.

VII. Miscellaneous
I will place the location of things such as puzzle pieces and life
crests here. Too sleepy. Wait for the next update.

VIII. Rants/Weird Stuff in the Game.

Why is it called Alundra 2? It has nothing to do with Alundra. Why did
they name it Alundra when he isn't even in the game? Its like naming
Breath of Fire "E. Honda's Challenge" or something like that. Also,
there is a lot of seriousness taken out from the first game. Its full of
oddball characters. This seems like a much more lighthearted adventure.
Also, the rotating camera things is really annoying. Man I'm too sleepy
to rant anymore.

Send some of your rants and weird stuff you found in the game to me by
e-mail.
