Hi! Thanks you for choosing my FAQ/Walkthrough to help you on
the two classical RPG game, Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II!
I am Ngan (aka. nnguyen11490) Nguyen and I will be your host for
the Final Fantasy Origins FAQ/Walkthrough! Some people might
recognize me as an amateur FAQ writer. Well I've gotten quite
better and more experience now ;) I assure you this
FAQ/Walkthrough will contains 100% accurate information for both
games. If you spot an error please email me (check Contact Info.)
ASAP and I'll fix it up, as well as give you credit for it in the FAQ.
Enough about me , I bet you're probably wonder how this FAQ became
to be.
I recently bought Final Fantasy Origins in June of 2003. The reason
why I decided to write a FAQ/Walkthrough of this classical game is
that I simply wish to waste more time o.o Hey, its summer and I have
nothing to do, so I decided to get back to the FAQ writing business.
The first day I bought the game I ran home and jumped on the computer
and go to GameFAQs.com to see whether Final Fantasy Origins have some
FAQs for it already. To my surprise, there aren't many. So I said,
What the heck? It's summer! Let waste more time. That is how I decided
to write a FAQ for the game :P
This FAQ is divided into 3 sections. The first part is the Final Fantasy
FAQ, it covers nearly all aspect for FF. Second is the Final Fantasy II
section. Then the last part is all of the miraculous stuff about the
FAQ.

FAQ TIPS

Here see some tips on using the FAQ faster to help you get through the
game.
* SEARCHING *
Whether you're looking for an item or needing to find the right path,
by using the searching method it would really save to some time from
scanning throughout the FAQ. By pressing the key [ CTRL + F ] a search
box will pop up. Simply type in the name of a place, boss item, ect
and click Find Next to search.
* PRINTING *
Though you may only use this FAQ for personal use only, you may still
Copy [CTRL + C ] and Paste [ CTRL + V ] a part of the FAQ on to another
Word Editing Program and print it for your convenience. That way, if
your computer is far away from your game you don't have to walk back
and forth to see what you need to do next.
* READING THE MANUAL FOR THE BASICS *
The game should come with a manual (if it's not used). Some slackers
is to lazy to read a few short pages about the game by themselves so
they always email me about stupid questions on the basics of the game.
If you don't have the manual check out the Game Basics section of the
FAQ if you need further help or understanding about the game.

Throughout your journey you will find various vehicles that you
can take. Here is a list of them all and their description and
as well where to obtain them.

SAVING YOUR GAME

Unlike the other games in the Final Fantasy series, you don't have
to find any save spots, moogle or any other object to save. There
are 3 things that will allow you to save in the game. #1, Inn. Simply
go to an Inn in a town and pay a small fee to get fully heal and you
may save. #2, Tents! Tents will heal you and as well give you an option
to save. #3, Cottages! Just like Tents Cottage will fully heal you and
let you save! ONLY 3 WAYS!? That will seem kind of hard doesn't it? That
means you will have to use a Tent/Cottage or visit an Inn in order to
save! What if you're in a dungeon or somewhere far away from a town!?
Two words, Memo Save!

MEMO SAVE FILE
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
As you might have already known or have read from above, you only
have 3 ways to save your game onto your Memory Card! But it will be
_VERY_ difficult if you have to use Tents/Cottages or find an Inn to
save! Luckily Square added in a Memo File! What is Memo Saving, you
might asked? It just simply a temporarily save file right on you
game Disc. You may Memo Save as many times as you wish, from anywhere
in the game (besides the CGs of course :P )! To Memo Save your file
simply go to the Main Menu (with the Triangle Button if you don't
know) and select 'Memo Save'. Simple as that! But there is one
side effect...

Equipping Equipments

You may purchase Weapons, Armors, ect in the regular Weapon and
Armor Shops. Note, simply buying the item doesn't mean the game
automatically equips it to your characters. You must equip the
item yourself (big deal?). To equip go to the Main Menu, select
the Equipment Option and you'll see commands : EQUIP (to equip
new weapons, armors, ect) , OPTIMIZE (the game automatically
equip the best weapon that you have to the character) , and
REMOVE (remove an Equip item). Simply choose EQUIP to equip
the item yourself or Optimize (if you want the game to do it
for you).

There are many different kinds of shops throughout the game. It's
to hard to write it all out (since I'm too lazy ;) ) so I'll simply
male a short list for them all.
Shop Names : The name of the shop
Symbol : The little symbol that to let you what kind of shop it is.
Description : What the Shop sells.

This game is about 65% all battling. So if you don't know how the
battle mode works, read on and find out!

Random Encounters

Like the other Final Fantasy games this game has random encounters.
What that means is when you are walking on the Field Map you will
randomly encounter enemies to battle. there isn't anyway to stop
random encounters so you better get prepare before you head out of any
towns.

Leveling Up
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
As you gain Experience from the enemies after every battle. What are
all those EXP be use for? Simple, leveling up. In order to level up, you
will need the right amount of EXP. To see how many experience a
character is needed to level up. Simply access a character's Status
screen. For those of you who don't know yet. When a characters level
up, their stats will be raised. Making him/her stronger.

Character Status

If you've played some of the other Final Fantasy games you would
be familiar with some of the stats of you character in the game. If
you aren't familiar with the stats, this will help.

| VIT (vitality) |Vitality determine how much HP |
| |you will acquire once you've |
| |leveled up. Basically the more |
| |vitality you have, the more HP |
| |HP you will gained. |

| HP (Hit Points)|In mostly _ALL_ RPG games, |
| |nearly everyone has HP. Same |
| |thing in Origins. Think of it |
| |as 'Life Points' Once you have|
| |know life points, the character|
| |is consider KO'ed (dead). So |
| |basically, if a monster/boss |
| |attacks you lose HP. Once |
| |you've ran out of HP, you're |
| |dead! |

| INT |I have no idea why did Squares |
| (intelligence) |bother putting in this stat O.o|
| |Intelligence basically used for|
| |nothing. Your character doesn't|
| |have to be smart :P |

| LUCK |Another worthless stat in the |
| |game. I have no idea what Luck |
| |does also. In the other Final |
| |Fantasy games, luck is use to |
| |determine the happening of |
| |events in the game. But LUCK |
| |means nothing in this game. |

| HIT (hit rate)|Hit = Accuracy. The higher your|
| |HIT stats is the better chance |
| |you have of striking an enemy. |
| |My theory, hit also determine |
| |how many time you hit an enemy.|

| DAMAGE |How much damage you inflict. |
| |If your Strength is high you |
| |DAMAGE is higher. |

| ABSORB |Your defense to Physical Attack|
| |The higher your ABSORB is the |

| EVADE |EVADE is kind of like the hit |
| |rate, except backwards. It |
| |determines the chance of an |
| |enemy will attack you. |

There are many enemies or bosses that will try and cast status
change to your allies. Here is a simple, easy-to-read, chart
that I made up.
Conditions : The status effects
Effect : How the status change will harm you characters.
Cures : The cure for the status change.

This is your 'Battle Menu' which you will always see in every
battle. Here is an explanation of everything on the Menu.

MONSTER NAME : The name of the monster(s) you're facing.
# : How many of that kind of monster you're facing.

ATTACK : 'Attack' Command of the character. Physical Damages will
Be adducted to the Enemy.
MAGIC : The 'Magic' Command for mages. Once chosen you may cast
a magic spell to heal or revive a character as well as
damage an enemy(ies). Note, you must have already purchase
the spell in order to use them!
ITEMS : Use items to cure you character in the battle. Once chosen
you'll see a list of items you can use. Note, only the
items you've bought or can be use will be shown.
EQUIPS : Very helpful! You may change a character equipments right in
the battle.
FLEE : Trying to 'flee' (run away) from the battle. Note, once you've
chosen this one character must successfully get away to flee
from the battle.

CHARACTEF NAME # : Display of the first party member to the fourth
one. Note, the character name may sometime get
replace by a Status Effect if they have it.
HP Currently/MAX HP : The characters current HP is display on the
left and the max HP of the character is display

much your character HP is currently out of the
max HP.

Character Display
All 4 of your character stats will appear in the Menu. It shows
your character picture (so you might know what class they are),
CLASS, their currently level, their current and max HP, and
as well as their MPs (Magic Points) for some of the magic spells.
CRYSTALS DISPLAY
The crystal display section shows how many crystals you've have
gotten so far. If the crystal(s) is gray that means you didn't
got it yet.
Gils
GIL is a short term for the kind of money they use throughout
all of the Final Fantasy games in the series. This shows you
how much Gils you currently have.
TIME
This shows how long you’ve play the game.
Steps
I think Squares are crazy for adding this O.o I don't think you
really need to know how many steps you have taken in the game,
but this shows it anyways.
LOCATION NAME
The name of the current place you are in.
ITEMS
Shows you a list of all of the items you currently have as well
as some of the key items once you've chosen this option.
MAGIC
You can see, use or drop some of your Magic Spells.
EQUIPMENT
You can add, view or remove a character Equipment in this option.
STATUS
Show all of the stats of your character. It also tells you how

That basically all I wanted to say. What kind of character do me
recommend in the game?
- Warrior (Knight) : For his killer strength and stats of course.
- Warrior (Knight) or Monk (Master) : Get another warrior to make
the game easier for you :)
- Red Mage (Red Wizard) : Can cure you with White Magic Spells and as
well kick the enemy’s ass with Black Magic
Spells.
- Black/White Mage : Both have very good Magics Spells but both are lacking
in stats. White can cast Holy and Black can cast Flare.
White can cure you and Black can kill the enemy. I can't
decide which on is best. Oh well, just go and flip a coin
or something and let your luck decide ;)

Enough with the basic stuff now. It's time to get to the main part
of the FAQ! This is probably the section that people check on most
so I will try my best pointing every single aspect of the game that
I know. This section doesn't just contain simply just a walkthrough.
You will also find Boss Information (in case you're to lazy to read
the section ahead :P ).
As the game loads you will see 2 option. Final Fantasy or Final
Fantasy II (2 incase you didn't know). Pick _Final Fantasy_
of course because that is what this FAQ is about O.o Once you've
pick Final Fantasy you will see the following Options :
- NEW GAME : Start a new game
- LOAD GAME : Load a save file of the game from your memory card
- Memo File : Load up a memo File
If you've chosen 'New Game' you will see 2 other options. Easy
Mode or Normal Mode. If you are truly a beginner to the Final Fantasy
series choose easy, so you won't have any trouble. If you are a
hardcore-RPG fan, veteran to the series or you just want to play
the game normally choose 'Normal Mode'.
There is much of a difference in the two. In 'Easy Mode' some of
the items, weapons, armors are cheaper and as well as some of the
enemies or bosses are slightly easier. Ok, hurry up and pick between
the two and let's continue to the read walkthrough!
As you start the game, you will see an astonishing CG scene...
~ ! S P O I L E R ! ~
You will see a blue crystal... then there is a man in blue armors
wielding a sword and the crystal. He seem to be traveling some
where... Suddenly a red dragon pops out of no where! The dragon
fires out one hell of a blast! Quickly the man uses the power of
the crystal and his sword to stop the blast. Then you will return
to the blue crystal scene. Then you will see the prologue from
above. It reads :
A great darkness shrouded the world.
The wind died.
The sea raged.
The earth began to decay.
Only a prophecy kept hope alive in people's heart.
"When Darkness veils the world, four warriors of light shall come."
And after journeying far, four young warriors did at last appear.
In the hands of each rested a mysterious crystal...
After that the games begins... You will need to pick 4 character
and their class for your journey. Check the section above to
see what they are useful for and as well as which ones I
recommend of choosing. Once you're done...

Cornelia/Cornelia Castle
*--------------------------------*
You are now currently outside of the town called Cornelia! Enter
the town and you will see a knight blocking your path out. Talk to
he and he will tell you that you are the 'crystal warriors' and he
will quickly then take you to his majesty. The king will talk to
you about his daughter, 'Princess Sarah' getting abducted by a former
knight named 'Garland' (the old man from FFIX :P ). He will tell you
that Garland lives in the 'Temple of Chaos' (Temple Of Fiend on NES),
which lies far north of Cornelia. That is your nest destination!
You will need to get Princess Sarah back in order for the king to
fix the bridge that will let you go further north.
Leave the castle and head into town for some good'ol weapon and
armor shopping! You start out with a merely 400 GIL, that is
about enough to get your character equip with some weapons and
armors. Be sure to save at least 50 GIL for the Inn, so you can
save! Go into the White Magic Shop (north of the Weapon and Armor
Shop) and buy the Cure1 spell for White Mage(s) or Red Mage(s),
if you have some in your party. If you have any extra GIL left, I
highly suggest investing them at the Item Shop for some Potions.
I hope you took my advice of saving at least 50 Gils for the Inn,
you need to save! If you don't have enough you can go outside
and train up a little bit or you can just Memo Save for now. In
the Inn you can fully heal and save. You may also notice the
4 dwarfs on the right part of the Inn (isn't there suppose to
be 7?). Anyways, talk to them if you wish, they will tell you
some helpful tips about the game.
Once you're done buying and saving head out of town (the entrances
is to the south and east side of Cornelia).
Now that you are out of Cornelia, I highly suggest you train a little.
Get familiar with the battle mode, get some Gils and gain some levels
before you go any further. Once you're ready, go northwest of
Cornelia. You will soon reach the 'Temple Of Chaos'! The monster in
here are a little tougher then the ones that are outside. So be careful!

Temple Of Chaos (Temple Of Fiend)

Once inside, there will be treasure chest in every corner of the
room. From the entrance, go left and you'll see a room. Inside is a
chest containing a Leather Cap. Now go north and there will be
two chests in a room, obtain a Potion and Tent from it and go back
to the entrance you first came in. You may also come across some other
room, but they are in needs of the 'Mystic Key' to unlock. Once back
at the entrance you've first come in, head straight north and you will
see a large sanctum. Do not go in if you're character are not on at
least level 3+! Once ready, Memo Save and put on your fighting spirit
for this is the fight with your first boss!

Boss Name : Garland
Recommended Level : 3+

Strategy : Your first boss will be easy for you to demise. Simply
use physical attack or some Black Magic if you have some, and
he'll go down in no time. Garland might look mean, tough and bad
but inside he's just a wimp. He will rarely attack you often so
you don't have to worry about healing. Once a character HP has
dropped very low, quickly heal him or her fast! Overall, Garland
will go down easily and you shouldn't have any trouble with him.

After Garland goes downs, Princess Sarah will come to you and will
immediately take you back to Cornelia Castle to speak with her
father, the king. He will thank you for returning his daughter
back and he will rebuild the bridge for you. Once the long talking
is done, talk to the princess to receive the key item 'Lute'. Leave
the castle and go save and heal in the Inn (you should have enough
Gils). Buy any weapons, armors or magic spells, if you are in need
of them. Leave Cornelia once you are ready.
Go North of Cornelia and cross the newly repaired bridge, to begin
your adventure! You will see a small cinema scene, saying that your
adventure has begun. That's right, all of the above is just a tiny
little practice mode for the hard stuff. Once the cinema is over,
from the bridge head north. Keep going until you see a cave.

Once inside the place, go into the room that is west from the
entrance. You will encounter an old witch, Matoya, whining
about something called the 'Crystal Eye'. Once she's done
whining, get the three treasure chest on the left part of the
room. They contain 2 Potions and 1 Antidote. Once you've
obtain the treasures, talk to the brooms. Congrats! You
finally have a world map now. Just go outside and press
'Circle and Start' to view it. Now leave the place and head back
to the bridge you came from. From the bridge, go east and
continue going east. You will soon spot a town. Enter it! (duh?)

Pravoca

Argh! Mateys, welcome to ye little town of Pravoca (Note, I'm
not a pirate :P ). I hope you have been fighting monsters and
earning Gils for some weapon and armor in the shops may cost
a few $$. Head over to the left side of town and get some armors
and helmets for your party. Then go to the right side of town and
buy some new Weapons. You can also buy some Magic if you wish.
Also, remember to buy some potions, for they are of better use
then wasting your MPs on healing spells.

Once you're done, head on over to the Inn, in the northern part
of town to heal up and save. Now get ready matey's for ye is
about to fight me crew. Go to the north-eastern part of town
and there will be 3 pirates standing in front of a building.
Talk to the middle on (the yellow one) and prepare to fight!

Strategy : Argh! yeh is out numbered my me crew. Ok I'll stop
pretending to be a pirate now :P You are definitely out number.
9 pirates fighting 4 heroes! Does that seem fair to you? YES!
All of the pirates are _very_ weak with HP ranging from 6-9.
Their attacks will likely miss or will do tiny little damage
to your party. You should destroy a pirate with only 1 hit.
If you can't then you're in trouble O.o Anyways just keep on
attacking with physical attack. Don't waste you MPs on
Black Magic Spells. And as for healing, you shouldn't need
to heal but once a character has low HP heal in or her right
away.

Once you've won, the captain will promise he will try and be
good and will give you his ship. Oh'hoy! Welcome aboard mateys!
Ok, I will _really_ stop trying to be a pirate now. You've now
obtain the ship! Heal and save in the Inn and buy any weapons,
armors, items or magic that you wish. Once ready leave Pravoca.
Once out of Pracova. You will see a harbor and a ship boarded
right next to it. Climb aboard! Note, just because you are on
a ship, that doesn't mean there won't be any monsters. There
are a whole bunch of sea monsters like sharks and little annoying
eye thing that can paralyze you O.o Anyways go on board and train
up a little bit. SAVE YOUR GILS! You are going to need them! Weapons,
Armors and magic Spells will cost a hell out a lot of dough! Go
southwest and continue heading that direction. You will soon
reached a harbor. Dock your ship there and go south and into the
city of elves, Elfheim!

I hope you've been saving your Gils for this will going to cost
all that you have. In this city, there are two kind of Magic Shops.
There is a Level 3 Black and White Magic shop and there is also
a Level 4 Black and White Magic shop as well. I suggest you go
and buy the Cure2 spell for 1200 Gils (1000 on easy) first. You
will need it. Also buy some new weapons and armors for your
characters. As you can see things are very pricy, even if you're
playing Easy Mode.

Be sure to get the Cure2 spell and some new Equipment! Once everything
is read , heal and save at the Inn and go to Elven Castle. Go north,
and enter the main chaimber. You will see an elf (looks like Link from
Zelda O.o ) lying in bed and another elf standing beside it. Talk to
the elf standing next to the prince and he'll tell you that an guy who
goes by the name of Astos has put a cursed on the king. The only one
that can cure the prince is Matoya (that old witch). It seems that
this Astos stole the 'Crystal Eye' of hers. You must find this Astos
guy! Leave that room and go down and right. You will see a way that
lead outside of the castle. Carefully, follow the path around the castle
to the north. Enter the room and you will see 3 treausure chest! Get
them! You will acquire the following... 400 gil, 330 gil and a Copper
Gauntlet.
Once you've gotten everything you need leave the Elfheim.
Walk out of town and head northwest. Go around the mountain until you
get to a little hole in the ground. That is the Marsh Cave!

Once inside, there will be 2 ways you can go. I suggest you go north
and get some valuable items and Gils first. Once you've got those go
to the southern path and climb down the latter. Now you have to find
a stairs to reach the room below. The stairs is located on the
_SOUTH EASTERN_ part of the cave. Go down the stairs, and in this room
there are many tiny little rooms that contains items in them. Here
is an ASCII map for you to view it better.

Before you enter the room with the 'Crown', Memo Save! You're going
to have to fight for it!

Strategy : You will fight a random number of them (2-4), so pray
that you will only have to fight 2. Even if you have some nice
armors and at a high level they can still pack a wallop. Their
attack ranging from 18-35 Damage! If you took my advice and bought
the Cure2 Spell, then they wouldn't be so hard. Just use black
magic spells (Bolt1 seems to work well) and Physical attack and
they'll go down faster then you think.

Once you defeated the Piscodemons, get the Crown from the chest!
Now you must retrace your step back outside of the cave.
Shouldn't take a while now, since you've already know the way.
Once you're out of the Marsh Cave, continue north. Keep going and
you'll see a castle.

Western Keep

This is the dark elves castle! It very small and easy to navigate
through. The main room you're suppose to go into the king's room,
located about north from the entrance. Before you enter be sure to
Memo Save and heal up if you have low HP. Enter and talk to the
fat king. It's Astos! After you give him the 'Crown' he will
transform into his regular form and will give you a fight!

GIL : A Whooping 2000 GIL!!
Strategy : A simply thank you would be okay, but a fight? This
evil elf has one totally brutal attack. Doesn't matter how many
HP you have, this will attack will always instantly kill you!
It is called 'Reaper' (kind of like the death spell from the other
Final Fantasies). Astos will like to use Reaper a lot so you better
finish him quickly! If you are on level 12 or more, you Warriors
should finish him with Physical attack in within about 4 turns.
Finish him quickly before he kills you!

You should know who to give it to ;) Return out of the Western
Keep castle and head all the way back to Elfheim (the city of the

Once there, revive any fallen character, pick up some Magic spells,
weapons or armor that you didn't get before. Heal and in the Inn,
then leave the place. Head back to your SHIP, at the dock north
of Elfheim. From there head north, and you will soon be arrived
at the dock south of Cornelia. You should already know where is
Matoya's Cave is, but in case you don't, I will walk you through.
North of Cornelia is the bridge you've once crossed. Cross the
bridge, and go north. Follow the path north and you will soon
get to Matoya's Cave. Enter the cave, head to the main room and
return Matoya's Crystal Eye. In return she will give you the
'Jolt Tunic' for the sick elf prince. Now you must once again
go all the way back to Elven Castle :( Back and forth once
more, it gets very annoying.
Once you're at the castle, talk to the elf that is standing
next to the prince. Give him the 'Jolt Tunic'. The prince will
wake up from his eternal slumber and will present you with the
'Mystic Key'! Finally, now that you have the key, you might
want to return to all of the previous place you've visit to
get some powerful equipments and good items!
I recommend that you go back to all of your previous visited
locations to grab nice items. It is totally up to you, either
go back and get good items or continue on your journey. If you
want to get all of the items, follow the walkthrough below, if you
don't want to get the items, simply skip this part.

Using The Mystic Key
*-----------------------------------------*
Since now that you got the key, you may unlock some of the rooms
that you couldn't before.
Location 1 : Temple Of Chaos
Go back to your ship and travel to the dock of Cornelia. dock and go
northwest, as you did before. You will soon reach the Temple Of Chaos,
where you've fought Garland (the dark knight at the beginning of the
game). At the entrance go east and you will reach a room. Inside is a
chest containing a Rune Blade. From that room, go north to get to
another room. Inside is a 2 chests. They contain a Werebane and a Gold
Needle! Return all the way outside of the temple and head back to your
ship. I know it's a long way but you shouldn't have any problem going
all the way to your ship. The enemies are _very_ easy here. You should
be able to kill each with only 1 hit.
Location 2 : Cornelia Castle
There is a key item here that it is requires you to have, in order to
continue on with the game. Return to Cornelia Castle and take the
left path. Continue going around the castle until you get to a dwarf.
Next to him is 2 rooms containing treasures! The first room (the left
one) has a Steel Plate, Iron Shield and the key item Nitro Powder. The
other room treasures contains a Crossier, Saber and a Mythril Knife.
Location 3 : Marsh Cave
Ride it all the way back to the dock north of Elfheim. From Elfheim go
west. Keep going west, follow around to the mountain path like before
and you should be at the Marsh Cave. You remember where the room that
contains the lock treasure is right? if you do, I'll tell you anyway :P
At the entrance of Marsh Cave, go down to the south path like before.
Go down the latter into the room below. From here, you must find the
stair case so you can go to the lower level. The stairs is located on
the south eastern part of this level. Go down the stairs and there will
be many rooms. Check the map that I've made above to see everything. The
rooms that contains the locked items, are the 4 rooms at the bottom of
each columns. The rooms contain (from left to right order) : Silver
Armlet, Mythril Knife, 1020 Gils! Return out of the cave.
Location 4 : Western Keep
From the Marsh Cave, go northeast all the way back to the Western Keep.
There is a room with a treasure chest to the left part of the castle.
Inside is a Falchion, Power Staff, and Steel Gloves!
You are now finished with the Mystic Key sidequest!

Mt. Duergar
*----------------------*
If you didn't do the sidequest of the Mystic Key, you will need an
item from it to go on. You must do _Location 2_ from above to continue
on with the game. Take you ship and sail west of the world map. Continue
sailing along and you will see a dock for your ship. From the dock, go
southwest and you should see a cave entrance. Enter and you will see
little short-bearded people... O.o
Rally-Ho! You are in the cave of the dwarfs! At the most southern part
of part of the cave is a room containing many treasures. What are you
waiting for? Get going there! In the room you will acquire the
following : Tent, Grand Helmet, Wyrinkiller, Mythril Knife, Helmet,
Mythril Mail, 575 Gils and a Cottage! Whoo hoo!! Now that you've have
calm down from all of the excitement and prancing, get out of the
room. You will see a dwarf standing next to the room on the right.
Talk to him and he will use your Nitro Powder for... KABOOM!! It seems
that the old dwarf open up a new path for you. Now you can sail further
west.
Get out of the cave, and return to your ship. Sail west, where the new
path was opened! Just keep going west and you will see a dock and a
tiny little town next it.

Melmond

As you entered this little place, you may notice that some destroyed the
place. Talk to some of the people. It has seems that a Vampire has been
here. Your next mission is to exterminate the Vampire. Before you go
around trying to kill the damn thing, get something’s in the town first.
As usual, heal and save at the Inn. You should have a well over 30,000
Gils by now. That's pretty much enough to get all of the weapons, armors,
items and magic spells that you might need. Head over to the Weapon and
Armor Shop and pick up some new things. Also go into the item shop and
get some Tents (you should _always_ have at least one with you!) and
Antidotes. Be sure to buy at least 5 Antidote, for you might be poison
later on. Now the most important thing to get in this place is the
Fire3 spell! Get it for all of your Black or Red Mages! It is extremely
handy later on. Also at the White Magic Shop, purchase the Cure3 spell
for your Red and White Mage and also the Life1 Spell if you have a White
Mage with you.
Once you're finished with everything, leave Melmond. From the town, go
_south_! The place you're looking for is Terra Cavern! Not Titan
Cave! Terra Cavern has some pretty powerful enemies within it, so I
recommend refreshing your party up a little. You should be at least
at level 12 or more by now. Your Black or Red Mage should have the spell
Fire3 learned. Once everything is in order enter Terra Cavern!

This is being your hardest place yet. Some of the monsters in here can
do some lethal damage. The ones to watch out for is Hill Gigas,
Minotaur and the killer monster called Gnoma! The Gnoma can do about
100 damage every physical attack! Ouch! So watch out. If one of your
character is KO'ed leave the cave immediately and sail all the way back
to Cornelia to revive (there is no sanctum in Melmond).
Anyways, the cave contains a lot of strong monster and as well as some
valuable treasures! Terra Cavern is like a huge pain in the arse maze.
There is many path to take, many traps and many damn hard enemies.
Let's begin. Once you've entered the place, take the north path. You
will get to a room with a chest containing 1975 Gils. Head all the way
back to the stairs that you came from. This time go south. Keep going
and you will get to two small room contain 880 gil, 795 gil, Antidote
and a Potion. By now you've should already faced one of those dang Gnoma.
If not, then you should consider yourself lucky. Return back to the
stairs you've come from, from there go east. You will see a new set of
stairs leading down below.
Just make your way around the room collecting all of the treasures.
Then go and find the stairs that leads below. The stair is located
on the western side of this room, if I recalled...
This is the last room you can go for now. There are some treasures in
this room, but don't bother getting any. Most of them are just useless
things like Potions and Antidotes. From the entrance of this level, go to
the north path. Then follow it west and then follow it south. Sorry if
this is a little confusing, I'm trying to explain this maze as best as I
could. Make your way to the biggest room in the area. Before you enter
it, Memo Save and heal up your characters if you have low HP. Once done,
enter the room and you will see a treasure chest in the corner of the
room. There is a bat blocking your bath, talk to it and fight!

Strategy : For a blood sucker, he have a very low HP. You should be
able to kill in within at least 3 turns. If you have the Fire3
spell cast it! His weakness it fire so if you have the Fire3 spell,
cast it! I defeated him in 1 hit using Fire3 from my Black Mage.

Once the Vampire is defeated, grab the key item 'Star Ruby' from the
chest. You cannot go any further, for the path is block. Now you must
return out of the cave. It may seems like a long way back but it's
easy. You should already remember the way back just fine.
Whoo Hoo! You're finally out of that hellhole. I hope you make it out
alive. If you need to heal just walk back to Melmond. It isn't very
far (unless you're lazy like me ;) ). If you're back at Melmond, heal
and save at the Inn as always. You should also have acquired more then
enough Gils to buy some of the weapons, armors, and magic spells that
you'd wanted. The armor 'Knight Armor' is worth around 36,000 Gils
on easy mode, you should be able to purchase one by now. Anyway,
I _highly_ recommend that you return to Terra Cavern and train up
a bit! You should be very close to level 20 at least by now.
<brag> My character were near level 22 when I got here :P </brag>
Ok enough bragging. Your next destination is a cave called Titan's
Cave. It's located southwest of Melmond and Northwest of Terra Cavern.

Finally an easy place! Titan's Cave is a small and very simply cave to
get through. You should have no difficulty getting through here. Enemies
here are mostly Ogres. If you need some quick Gils, this is the place
to be.
Once you're in the cave, go and talk to that thing with one eye. Titan?
Ogre? Cyclops? or whatever you want to call it. He will want your Star
Ruby to munch on. Yummy rocks! ^_^ Once he gets out of your way, there
will be two paths for you to take.
Go to the south one first. They will contain the following : Great Axe,
620 Gils, 450 Gils, and a Mythril Helmet. Now that you've got these,
go to the northern path. There will be a staircase, use it and then...
YOU'RE OUT!
You are now back on the field map! That was quick! O.o There is only 1
place to go here. Head south to the cave you see.

Sage's cave

Whee! Another simple cave! Aren't you lucky :] The only thing you can do
here is talk to the sage, located on the western part of the place. Talk
to him and he will give you a 'Earth Rod'! You can now use the rod to go
deeper in Terra Cavern! Yay! Back to the old stinky cave with tough
monsters again! Walk _all_ the way back to Terra Cavern again. No seriously
go back to Terra Cavern.

Now that you're here walk all the way to the 3rd floor where you've
fought that Vampire. Go back to the Vampire's room and use the other
door that leads you to a dead end. There is a stone that is blocking
your path. Go into your key item inventory and use that Earth Rod.
You can now go to lower part of the cavern!
Now you are on level 4 of the cavern. This level is the most pain
in the arse level of the place. It is huge like a damn maze. And it's
also filled with so many damn annoying enemies. From the entrance
stairs, take the north path. It will lead you to some treasure chests.
They will contain a : Staff, 3400 gil, 1455 Gils, and 1520 Gils. From that
room try to go to the most southwest part of the floor. You will end
up seeing a room that contains a : Tent, Mythril Shield and 1250 Gils.
Now from that room, go all the way north to find a stair letting you go
even to a lower level.
This is the last level of Terra Cavern. Once again this is another maze
for you. But this one is quite simple. From the stairs that you
came in from, go north and follow that path. You will finally end up
outside of a large room. Memo Save and heal up before entering! For
your next boss will be...

Boss Name : Lich
Recommended Level : 16+

Strategy : 600 HP shouldn't take a long time to bring down, for you
should do a well over 100 damage with physical attack and of your
Black Mage should be able to do over 80 damage with magic spell
already. Lich major weakness is fire. So cast Fire3 if you have it!
Lich physical attack are nothing to worry about. Your only concern
is his magic spells. He often cast magic like Ice2 on your whole
party. If you have a White Mage should use Heal1 or Heal2 to heal.
Just pound away using fighter’s physical attack and have your Black
Mages or Red Mage use Fire3 and he will go down. You shouldn't heal,
for you should take him down in just a few turns.

Once Lich is finished, the Earth Crystal will light up. Whee! Your
party is dancing! *throws a tomatoes* After the weird dance, you will
see a portal behind the crystal. Use to and you will warp back to the
field map.
Now go back to Melmond to heal and save. If you already haven't
notice, the earth crystal in your main menu is now light up. You still
have 3 more to go!
Get on your ship and sail straight west. Keep on sailing until you've
cross the other side of your map. Meaning, look at your map, continue
going west until you've reach the other side of the map. Find a dock
some where near the town of Cresent. The town is surrounded by a
river. Follow the river around the town and you'll eventually find
a piece of land leading to the town.

The town of Cresent consist of many useful weapons, armors and magic
spells. Therefore you should already have a well enough Gils to buy
them all. Pick up a Mythril Shields and gloves for all of your
fighters. Get the Reaper spell for your Black Mage. Save and heal
at the Inn once again. Then pick up any items you are indeed of at
the Item Shop. Oh yeah I forgot to mention, you will also get you
canoe here...
Follow the path to the eastern part of town. Then follow the
path there and you will see 12 sages standing in a circle. You may
talk to them if you wish, but the one that gives you the canoe is
the sage right of the main sage (the blue guy). He will tell you
that you've stop the earth's destruction but you've also released
a beast that has been sleeping for 200 years. then he gives you a
canoe for you journey.
After acquiring the canoe return to the Inn and save once again
before leaving for the volcanoes.
Before you go to the volcanoes, you need to prepare first. Firstly,
train all of your character to at least level 20+. Some of the
enemies at the volcanoes can be hard as hell. Second, Be sure to
have the Nulfire magic for your White Mage or Red Mage. Third,
have a lot Potions at hand. You will find out why soon enough.
That's mostly it. Once you're ready, go into the river outside
of Cresent.

That should help you find the volcanoes. Once you've got there use a
Tent of Cottage outside just incase. For this place is a living hell.

Mt. Gulg
*--------------*
This place has all of the annoying aspects to piss a guy off. First
of all it contains annoying monster that can cause lethal damage.
Especially the Pyros (kind of like the fire version of Gnomas) and
the Red Dragon, which you will encounter in the lower part of the
volcanoes. There are also a huge maze, which will be very hard for me
to explain, but I'll try my best. To top it off, a very hard boss at
the end. The only good thing I can find out about this place is the
mass treasures you can acquire.
B1 : You are currently on the first floor of Mt. Gulg. As you can
see there are lava everywhere (of course there's lava in a
volcanoes -_-). There are a few things you should know about the lava.
First thing is that you will not encounter any monsters while you're
in the lava! Hooray! The sad thing is the lava will reduces your
party's HP as you walk in it.
This floor is just a dummy floor. There are no items here and the
place is mostly covered with lava. From the entrance stairs, just go
west. You will see a stair to go lower. Meh, get use to the easiness
while you can.
B2 : This floor can either be easy or really difficult. Firstly,
there are many treasures on this floor, but getting to them would
be a pain in the arse. If you want to get the treasures, go into
the door north of the stairs and make your way around the room
collecting the treasure chests. You can find the following items in
here : Mythril Helmet, 750 Gils, 795 Gils, 4150 Gils, Mythril Helmet,
Mythril Gloves, Potion, Tent, 1975 Gils, 1455 Gils, 1520 Gils, Antidote,
1760 Gils, Mythril Shield, Mythril Axe, Claymore and a Potion. The only
thing I see that are useful is the Mythril Axe and Shield, other then
those the other things aren't really needed. Some of the monsters in
this room will cause a great deal of damage (especially Pyros). So use
a few potion if you need to. Be sure to save some of the Cure spells,
for you will need to heal up before the boss!
Get all of the treasures and exit the room. The stairs the leads to the
lower room is straight left of the ones you came in from.
B3a : This is fairly easy just like B1F. There aren't any items here and
most of the place is lava so there will probably won't be any encounters.
Just walk to the southeast side of the floor to get the stairs. If
your HP drops to low due to the lava, heal with Potions or use some Cure
spells. Again save some Cure spell so you can heal up for the boss.
B3b : Another huge maze for you! Aren't you lucky ^_^ This floor also
consist of no items. I can't really explain this floor so here is another
ASCII map for ya.

B4b : As you can probably predict, this floor is another maze for you.
But this time it's filled with some treasures at least! Go into the
room north of the stairs you came in from and get 2750 Gils and a Gold
Needle. from there go west and then south into another room. It has
1760 Gils in the chest. Take the right path and you will end up to
a room with 5 treasure chests! They are : 7340 Gils, 880 Gils, Ice Brand,
and a Flame Shield! The sword and the shield will be very useful for the
boss and enemies here! Return to the previous room and take the south path
this time. There will be a room containing 10 Gils (whoopee doo) and 155
Gils. Now from there go to the right path and you will get more treasures!
Hooray for you! There will be a Cottage, 2000 Gils, and a sword... (sorry
I forgot what it was :P ). Now return to the previous room and go south
this time. You can get the treasure from the room on the way, but they
are pretty useless. Go into the stairs that you will see to go into the
final level!
B5 : Finally! Thank god you’re at the final level! You’re almost done with
this hell pit. This level is once again another maze. As you enter the
floor there will be 8 paths you may chosen. You would only need to take 2
of them. For the other ones has either nothing or is full of crap. Here is
a map.

Get the Flame Mail before going to the boss! Before entering the room
and start fighting. You should heal all of your character to fully
first. Equip your Fighter with the Ice Brand for some serious damage.
Also Equip them with Fire Shield or Flame Mail to reduce the damage you
will receive. Once everything is ready, memo Save and enter the room.
Talk to the Red stone and Marilith will come out!

Boss Name : Marilith
Recommended Level : 20+

GIL : 2475
Strategy : If you have the Ice Brand on your Fighter you can do a
well over 200 damage at least. Marilith likes to cast Fire3 on your
party sometimes, so use the NulFire spell! Also cast Haste on your
Fighters if you have it. Black Magic doesn't do as much damage as
physical attack. That's all I can say. If you have the Fire Shield and
the Flame Mail equip and you also use the NulFire spell, Marilith will
be easy as pie. (hmmm pie ^_^)

Once she is defeated (Marilith is a girl incase you didn't notice),
your character will once again go into the funny dance. *throws more
tomatoes* Go into the portal behind the crystal and you will be warp
back to the field map.
Congratulation! 2 Crystal down and 2 more to go! You're half way
through the game!
Now from here row your little canoe back to Cresent town. Heal and
save. Also buy some Maigc spells, armors and weapons you might need.
Once the preperation is complete get back to the dock, east of Cresent
and get on your ship. From the Cresent docks, sail stright due north.
You should eventually ran into another dock. Check your map if you're
having trouble finding it. Dock you ship at the dock, and then go into
the river that is located southwest of the dock. Sail your canoe north
and then west, and south to get to a cavern. Once again, check your
map if you are having trouble.

Ice Cavern
*--------------*
Ahh, finally something easy. After burning your ass of at Mt. Gulg
this place will be a relieve for you. For it is very short,
consisting of only 3 levels. The enemies here are also weak. The only
thing that is dangerous is those darn Dark Wizard. They like to cast
magic on your whole party! So watchout. Let's begin shall we?
B1 : A very tiny level. Simply go east and follow the path south and
you will ecounter a stair that leads lower. Not really of a challenge
isn't it?
B2 : Another easy path for you :) You will see 2 paths you may take.
Both will lead you to the same stair, which will lead you lower into
the cavern.
B3 : Wow! Is one is a toughy :P You should know where to go. Since the
saits are located about 2 step from eachother.
B2a : Follow the path south and you'll come up to a room. WATCH OUT FOR
THE CRACKS! Do not immediatly go for the stone, or else you will miss
the treasure chests! The room shall look like this :

Go for the 2 treasure chest first! Then fall down one of the crack
purposlly.
B3a : Now here's a challenge for you. This room is pretty big and it
consist of some good enemies (White Dragons) and some good items.
From the room you fallen in, exit it and try to go into the room
west of it. There will be 2 treasure chests consisting an Mythril
Gloves and an Ice Armor. The Ice Armor is quite handy in a place
like this.
After getting those, make your way to the most southern part of
the floor. There will be a room consisting of nothing buy $gils$!
You will get the following : 9990 gils, 7900 gils, 5000 gils, 1235
gils and 180 gils! That is 24305 gils for those of you that aren't
good at math ;) From that room, go northeast. You should come across
a stair.
B1a : Enter the room near the stairs. Get the Potion in the chest and
then exit this room and then enter the room south of it.There will be
a whooping 10,000 gils for you in the chest in the room. There is
another room on this level. It is locted east of the room where you've
acquire the 10,000 gil. As you enter the room you will notice 3
treasure chests and as well as a crack! DO NOT FALL DOWN THE CRACK YET!
Get the items in the chest first. You will receive a Sleeping Bag, 9500
gils and an Ice Shield. Just like the Ice Armor the shield will also
work well here. Once you've gotten those items, fall down the crack.
Heal your characters to their max HP and Memo Save. Also equip your
Fighter with the Flame Sword before heaing on. Then head right for
the blue Levistone... Attack!

Boss Name : Evil Eye
Recommended Level : 21+
HP : 162

Strategy : This in my opinion is the crappiest boss in the game!
With a mere 162 HP, one can easily take him down with 2 turns.
<brag>I killed this guy with only one hit from my Fighter using the
Flame Sword</brag> There isn't really any strategy for the guy (or
thing?). Physical Attack seems to be the most effective, so pound
away. Also use Bolt3 if you have it. You should be able to take him
down in within 3 turns.

Once the eye thing is defeated, grab the Levitstone and fall down
a crack. Make your way through the room and go back to the room
B1a (check above). There is a stair that will lead you straight
out of the cave in the room. It is located to the north eastern
part of the place. Simply go in it and you'll be back at the Field
Map.
Use a tent or Cottage to save you the trouble of going back to heal.
Go back to your ship and go into the docks of Cresent. Do you
remember the river that leads you to Mt. Gulg? This time instead of
going north take the southern path. Check the map I've made above.
Once you're there, go into your key item inventory and use your
Levistone. *rumlve, rumble, rumble* Suddenly and Airship appears
under all of the sand!
Congratualation! The Airship is the quickest way to get to anywhere
in the world! Now you can forgot all of those damn annoing encounters
with monster for you will not see any monster while in the air.
The only downside about the Airship is that it can only land in green
grasy areas. Meaning you cannot land anywhere else besides those areas.
Anyways, after you are done celebrating and jumping for joy. Regain
your airship and go far North. The place you're looking for is called
'Citadel of Trials'. It is a small castle located west of the northeast
continent.

The Castle of Trails is just a tiny mini-dungeon. You should have no
trouble gettng through it all.
F1 : As you enter there will be a sage standing north of you. Talk to
him and he will say you're the one with the Crown and you should pass,
whatever. Go into the room on the northeast part of this floor. You

F2 : This is the most difficult level here. For you will need to pick
the right warp to go around in the room. Here is a map to help you
solve this riddle.

Just follow the number and you should go into the stairs to the next
floor. Also besure to grab that Gauntlet on the way.
F3 : This is the final floor. WhooHoo! There are many treasures here so
besure to get them all! From the stairs, go north and you will acquire
the Healing Staff in the chest. from there take the west path and you
will see 3 chests. They will contain : Steel Gloves, Ice Brand, and a
Ruby Armlet. Go south of those chest and you will see 4 other chests.
One of the was open for some reason... Anyway grab the Cottage, 1445
gils and 7340 gils from the 3 other chests. Then go east and get the
Rat's Tail out of the chest. You should know what you need the Rat's
Tail for ;) If not, you will find out soon enough. Heal and Memo Save
before sitting on the throne. For there will be a fight waiting for you!

Strategy : This should be easy to figure out. What kind of Magic
damages undead foes? Dia! Duh! If you have a White Mage use Dia2.
If you have a Black Mage use Fire3. One of your Fighter should be
equiped with a Flame Sword. For Dragon Zombies are weak to Fire.
Pund away with magic and physical attack and it should be over
soon. They don't really have any lethal attack, so nothing to
worry about.

Once finish with those pesky dragons sit on the throne. You will be
wapred back to F1. Just walk out of the cave and get back on your
Airship.
Now that you've achieve the Rat's Tail, what is the point of keeping
that piece of crap? Take your Airship and fly a little bit west of
the Castle Of Trails. You will see some islands with holes on the
ground. This my friend, is Dragon's Caev. If you played the other
Final Fantasies you should know who is the king of dragons. Bahamut!
He is in one of the cave. Just go in each cave and grab some items out
out of them. One of them should be Bahamut's main cave.
Once you've reached the main cave, follor the path and you will reach
the king of dragons himself! He will say that the Rat's Tail prove
your courage, and you will reward you by... w00t! All of your character
classes have now been upgraded to their ultimate form!

Now enough celebrating! Get on your Airship and travel to west. You
should pass over a town. Since you can't land in the forest, there is
some green grassy area to the south of the town. Land there and walk
all the way to the town.

Here you can buy some new Lv7 Magic for your newly upgraded characters.
Nothing to do here much. Just buy some needed items (buy 99 Potions!
You will need them later) anda few maigc spells. Once ready, heal and
save in the Inn (you must've gotten tired of hearing that) and leave town.
Go into the river west of the town and travel northward. You will see a
waterfall, just head straight in it.

Waterfall Cavern

This place is simple. There's only 1 floor and most of the enemies you've
orabaly fought in previous battles. There is also some treasures here that
isvery useful.
The cavern is just one huge maze. The entrance that you came in from is
located southwest of the room. You must travel north, west and south to
find a room with some items. I can't really explain this floo, for it
is nearly impossible to. Instead I will jut tell you the directions to
the treasures.
From the stair go north until you will see 2 paths to take. Take the
path to the west and you and go north once the paths splits up again.
Go north until you will get to a dead end. The only path you can take now
is west. Do so. Keep going west until you will see 3 paths. North,
Northeast and Northwest. Take the northwest path. Once the paths split
up again 9this time to the north and south) take the south path. Follow
that path and make your way all the way down and you will see a room
with 6 treasures chest and a robot! Yep count them, 6! Jackpot!
They will contain (from left to right) : Spellbinder, an awesome Ribbon,
13450 gils, 6400 gils, 5000 gils and the kick ass Defender! Before leaving
talk to the robot. He will give you a Warp Cube for this 'Tiamat' guy. Now
you can either use the Warp2 spell (I told you to buy earlier) or walk all
the way back.
Return on your Airship and go to the Northeast continent. There is a town
to the south of the continent. So make your way there.

Gaia

Welcome to the earth town, Gaia! Before doing anything, go straight for the
Armor shop. Buy your party the Protect Ring! Also pick up some Ruby
Armlets. You should have a well over 1,000,000 gil by now. Cauntion,
more bragging ahead. I have about 3 million when I was there :P </brag>
Anyway if you have any gils left go into the magic shop and pick up
the Ice3 spell for your Black Wizard and the Heal3 and Cure4 spell for
your White Mage.
After everything is done, go around town and talk to everyone. One of
the people will say something about a fairy? Crazy nutcase O.o Get out
of town and go on your Airship.
From there go back to the northwest continent (the one with the Waterfall).
You should spot a desert. Land your Airship just south of the desert. Make
your way into the tiny desert just north of the main one. You will then
be entered into the town of Caravan.

This isn't really much of a town for it has nothing but a store here. Go
into the wierd hut you will see north of you as you enter (you shouldn't
miss it for it's the only thing there). Talk to the guy and buy the Bottled
Faerie. If you don't have enough, for you've spent all of your gils on
weapons. Go outside and train. After purchasing the faerie, fly your ship
Gaia.

Welcome back. Buy anything you need if you have enough gils to spare.
Follow the path and go north of the item shop. You will get to a Sanctuam.
From there go east and make your way to the little lake. Once there, use
your Bottled Faerie from your key item inventory. The faerie will appear
and will give you a Oxyale in return. Once you've acquire the item, go back
to the Airship. Travel all the way back to the towm Onlak.

Ocne again, welcome back. Now just follow the path and get to the south
eastern part of town. You will see a girl next to a barrel. Talk to her
and she will say somethings about the Oxyale, then she will disappear.
Kinda Freaky o.o Anyway, once she is gone you are now free to access the
barrel. Go on it and it will take you to a dungeon...

Sunken Shrine

There's one thing about this place that I don't get. How can your
characters survive under the ocean? They can hold they're breaths for
hours I suppose O.o Meh, just thinking. Let's get down to business.
3F : From the the place where the barrel is located. Go north until
you see the path split up into 2. Take the left path and get 2000 gils
from the chest in the room. Then take the right path and you will seea
chest insaide a room. It contains 9900 gils. Go to the northeast part
of this floor. There is a stair that leads to a higher floor.
4F : From the stairs, go south and you will see a room. It has nothing
in it, so don't bother going in. From the room, go east. There is a
large room that has 10 gil in a chest. Yay 10 gils! Return out of the
room and go north. Follow the north path and it will lead you to a room
with a Diamond Armor in the chest. Leave that room and go southwest. Go
further south, to the end of the floor. There will be a room. Inside is a
chest containing a Light Axe! From there go east and there will be another
room. There is a Mage's Staff in that room, so besure to grab that. There
is a staircase to the right of that room. Enter and it will lead you to a
higher room.
5F : This room contain many items. There will also be no random ecounter
here, so make your way collecting all of the items.

Just go into every room and check. Once you've gotten everything, return
to the previous floor.

You should be on the floor 4F again. From there walk all the way back to
the first floor. The one where you first came in from.From the stairs to
4F go east. There is a staircase all the way to the north eastern part of
the floor (3F). The stair lead to the lower part of this dungeon.
2F : From the stairs, go north. Follow the path to the northeast part of
this room. You will reach a stair.
3Fa : A simply room. If you don't know how to get to the stair.
Just go 2 step to the right and 1 step north to reach the stair ;)
4Fa : Don't bother going into the room below the stairs. For it has
nothing within it. Go to the stairs locacted southwest of this floor.
3Fb : Go into the room you see. Grab 110 gils from the north chest and
450 gils from thesouthern chest. There is a door in the south part of the
room. Go through it and you will see stairs. It will lead you to an even
lower part of this darn place.
2Fa : There is a room south of the stairs. It has 8135 gils and 7690 gils
in the chests. Fro that room go west. You will reach a room containing
3 treasure chests. 5450 gils, 385 gils and a Giant's Glove. The gloves
will boost your attack power by a ton! Equip it to your Knight. The
Giant's Gloves will also be very useful later in the game. From that
room go north. There will be another room with a chest in it. There is a
Light Axe in there. From that room go north and east. The path will lead
you to a room with 7340 gils, 2750 gils, 9900 gils and a Ribbon! That should
be your second one. For you've already gotten the Ribbon from the Waterfall
Cavern. Now get out of that room and go north and west. There will be a stair.
It leads to final level of this dungeon. Yay almost there!
1F : Finally! I bet you cannot wait to get the hell out of here. This is the
final floor where you will fight a tough boss. So train up a little if you
like.
from the stair go north and enter the room. Exit it from the other side. Now
go southwest and follow the path. You will wind up in a huge room. Just keep
going north and you will see a door leading out. From there follow the path
up to north and you will see another room. Memo Save and fully heal before
entering. For you've already know what's wating for you...
Enter the room and talk to the crystal.

Strategy : This boss might not be very offensive but in the defensive
term it will be very tough to lay a scratch on him. This is the same
strategy I use for him and it work fine. So go with it. Firstly use
Invis2 from your White Wizard or Red Wizard. For it will protect you
from one of Kraken most annoying abilities. Ink! It will Blind your
whole party! Have all your Black Wizard and red Wizard cast the Bolt3
spell on him. Water's weakness is Bolt! Duh? Have Knights attack head
on physically. If you've equiped the Giant's Glove to a Knight, you can
see how much it will boost your attack damage ;) 1600 HP will go down
faster then you think.

Once the overgrown squid is defeated, enter the teleporter from
behind the giant blue crystal. It will warp you back to the field map.
Right outside of Onlak.
WooHoo! That is 3 crystals already! You're so close! 3 fiends down.
You have one more to go! The next dungeon won't be so easy. I suggest
that you train up a bit. Get up to level 30 or more just to besure.
Take your airship and fly to the city Melmond. The one that the Vampire
has destroyed.

Go west of the armor shop and you'll see a cemetary. There is a guy
walking around. Talk to him and he will say something about your
Rosetta Stone, which you've acquire in the Sunken Shrine. He will then
teach you the Lufenia. Horray!
Return to your Airship and fly on over to Northeast continent. The
one that has the city Gaia in it. If you haven't already notice, there
is a large desert on the continent. Southeast of the desert is a city.
Inorder to go there you must find a place to land your Airship. The only
place you can land is on a little green grass area way north of the city.
It is near a small lake, so you can't miss it. Once you've landed make
your way to the city.

Lufenia
*----------------*
This isn't really much of a city. For you will see it has no shop what
so ever. That's what you think ;) Go to the northeastern part of town.
You will see there is a little path that leads you east. Take that path
and go east. You won't be on the field map. Instead you will reach a
hidden Magic Shops! The strongest spell for Black Wizards found in
here! Flare! The Life2 spell is also found in the White Magic Shop next to
the black! Flare will cast major damage and Life2 will fully heal a fallen
character. Awesome!
Once you're done getting those return to the main part of Lufenia. On the
eastern side of the towm. You will see some blonde hair guys (or girls?)
walking around. Talk to them all and one of them will give you a Bell.
Now you're ready to enter the Tower of Mirage! Make some final
preperation before entering. I suggest you go and buy 99 Potion and
train up a bit before entering. For there is going to be 6 straight
floor full with enemies.
Once you've done all of the above. Land your Airship on the southern
part of the desert (in the green grass area). Then make your way to
the tower to the north.

Tower Of Mirage

F1 : Go into the room north of the stairs you came in from. Collect
the following items : 800 gil, Healing Helm, 18010 gils, Tent, Vorpal
Sword, 3400 gil, 2750 gil and the awesome Aegis Shield!
There is another door in the room. Exit it and go up the new set of
stairs.
2F : This room is like a giant circle. Just follow the path around.
You will spet a path to go to the inner part of the room. Just keep
following the path. Sorry I can't help you better. This is very
complicated to explain.
Once you've got to the center. Enter the large room. Jackpot! 8
treasure chests! They will contain : 8135 gil, 7900 gil, Thor's Hammer,
12350 gil, 3000 gil, Cottage, 7600 gil, 10,000 gil and a Sunblade! As
as the strongest armor in the game! The Dragon Armor! Now exit that
room through the other door (to the right of the one you came in from).
Follow the path north and you will reach a staircase.
3F : Follor the left path south and enter the room you see. Enter it
and you will see a teleporter in the middle of the place. Use it and
it'll warp you to a new dungeon!

Flying Fortress

1F : Now you are in a room. Exit it and you will see 4 paths you
can take. North, South East and West. Take all of the other
paths first before going to the north. Go south and get the
Venom Blade from the chest. Then go to the east path. There will be
5 chests for you in this room. They contain : 180 gil, Healing Helm,
Protect Ring, 6720 gil, 5000 gil. Now go take the west path this time.
There will be a Potion, 9900 gil, 4150 gil and 7900 gil waiting for
you in the 4 treasure chests. Once you've acquire all of those things,
return to the center and take the north path this time. Go on the
teleporter and it will warp you to the next floor.
2F : This room will look like this.

As you can see many things to get here. You need the Adamantite! It is
to make an awesome weapon later! So besure to grab it. Once you've got
everything, go to the next teleporter to the 3rd floor.
3F : Go north of the teleporter to get 5450 gil, Potion, 9000 gil
and a Protect Ring in the room.
From the teleleporter go take the southeast path. There will be
8135 gil, Shirt, Protect Cloak. 9500 gil, 6400 gil and a GOld Needle.
The Protect Cloak is the strongest Shield for your Wizards! Don't bother
taking the south path of the teleporter. Instead take the west path.
Before going on the new teleporter. Get some items in the room to the
north. There is a Gold Needle, 4150 gil, 3400 gil and a Sasuke in there.
Now take the new teleporter.
F4 : This floor is fairly simple if you know which direction to go. There
is no items on this floor. To get to the new teleporter, go down 2 blocks
and then go east. You should get to a teleporter. Take it to the final
floor of this dungeon.
F5 : Simple! Just head north and follow the passageway to the 4th fiend.
This floor is simple but Tiamat isn't!

Boss Name : Tiamat
Recommended Level : 27+
HP : 2000
ATK : 49
DEF : 80

Strategy : With a huge HP and some deadly attacks Tiamat can easily
take your party down. His huge defense will reduce your Physical
Attacks to a mere scratch! Have your White or Red Wizard cast the
spell NulBolt on your party. That will reduce the damage of his
ThunderBolt attack. Then have your Red or White Wizard use Haste on
all of your Knights or Monks. It will increase the damamge you can
do by a ton! Also use the Flare spell if you have a Black Wizard.
The damage range is about 130-250 damage. Remember to heal once
your party are too weak! Or Tiamat will finish your party up with
a Toxin or Thunderbolt attack!

Give yourself a pt on the back! For you have defeated the final
fiend! Now you should know what to do after a fiend fight. In case you
don't, go in the teleporter behind the crystal.
That is the 4th crystal! There is only 1 more dungeon to go and
then you've finish the game! Take a break. Go outside for some fresh
air. Get a cup of coffee or do whatever you want. Once ready, read on!
Your still not ready yet. There is still one more sidequest for you
to do. I suggest you do it for the prize is the Excalibur! Remember
that Adamantite you've gotten previously at the Flying fortress? Take
that to Mt. Duegar (the drawf cave). Check the world map if you forgot
where it was located. In Mt. Duegar there is a drawf inside a room
west of the entrance. Talk to him and he will make you the second
strongest sword in the game! The Excalibur! You will find out what is
the strongest sword later ;)
Now return to Cornelia and heal and Save at the Inn. Before you go
a final preperation is required :
o Have all characters at least on Lvl38+. Mine are way over level 40
and I still think the dungeon is hard!
o Buy 99 Potion. They are of better use then healing magic. Once you're
in the temple, don't hold back from using potions! You have 99 of
them to last you!
o Get the Excalibur. Check above for how to acquire it. It is one of the
strongest sword in the game! Having a KNight equip with one can do
serious damage!
o Buy the Warp2 spell for your White Wizard and Red Wizard! If you
get stuck in there, you can use it to get put.
Once you've done so, leave town and ride your Airship to the Temple Of
Chaos. It is located northwest of Cornelia if you don't remember.

Temple Of Chaos (2000 years in the past)

Once you're in the Temple. Go into the main room north of you. It is
the same one you fought Garland in. Touch the Dark Crystal and a
teleporter will be open up. Enter it and you will be 2000 years in
the past!
1F : Go south from the room you're current in. Then follow the east
path and you'll reach a staircase to go to a higher level.
2F : From the stairs, go east and there will be another set of stairs. It
will also lead you higher.
3F : Go straight south from the stairs you came in from. Then go east and
enter the large room in the center. As you enter a Death Eye appears to
fight! it is very weak, so you should have no problem killing it within 3
turns. Once it's defeated, get the two treasure chests. You will acquire
45,000 gil and 65,000 gil from them. Now approach the stone slab in the
middle. Remember the key item 'Lute', that was given to you by Princess
Sarah? Use it to open up a latter to the room below.
2Fa : Exit the room you're currently in. Follow the path west. Another
set of stairs will be here to let you go below.
1Fa : From the stairs, follow the path west. Another staircase will be
there. Take it and you'll be in B1.
B1 : From the stairs, go north through the passageway. Then go east.
Continue going east until you've reached the northeast part of the
floor. Then go south and you'll spot a staircase. Don't go in it yet!
Heal up if you're HP is low and Memo save if you haven't already done so.
Approach the stairs and a boss willcome out!

Boss Name : Lich (2000 Years In Past)
Recommended Level : 38+
HP : 1000
ATK : 50

Strategy : The once fiend you've killed is back! This time he is
much more tougher! But not to tough for you. He will cast the
Flare spell on his first turn, so get ready to heal if any
characters is KO'ed. 1000 HP isn't hard for your to take down. For
you've fought way worser fiend then it. Use the Dia4 spell if you
have it. Also cast Fire3 using your Black Wizard. As always Haste
on Knight or Masters work very well. It will boost their hits higher.

Once you've defeated the damn skeleton, take the stairs to below.
B2 : This room contains some items but I wouldn't suggest going and
getting them. They are of no use for you now anyway. From the stairs
you're currently at, go east and then north. Enter the large room and
go east. You will see a way out of the room. Go out and enter the stair
located southwest of the room. As you approach the stairs, you will
be once again be challenged by a foe you've once fought!

Boss Name : Marilith (2000 Years In Past)
Recommended Level : 38+
HP : 1400

Strategy : The damn 6 armed fiend is back! Use the same strategy as
you've used for here last time. Cast NulFire on your party to stop
her fire attack. Then use Shld2 to raises up your party's defense
against her phyiscal attack. Pound away with the Ice3 spell from
your Red or Black Wizard. Also cast haste on your Knight or Masters
like before to make quick work of her.

B3 : This room is fairly easy if you know where to go. Go into the
room east of the stairs and get out of it on the other side. From
there enter the room straight south of it. Make your way to the south
in that room. Exit the door and enter the new room north of it. In
there go east and exit the room through the other door. Now make
your way southeast. Sounds confusing? Just reread it over and over
again and you should know what I'm talking about :) Once you approach
the stairs, guess which fiend is next?

Strategy : Can you see the difference in the stats of all of the
fiends? Their HP seems to go up by 400 and ATK and DEF also
goes up by 10 from each one. Kraken have a massive defense. This
time the Bolt3 spell won't do really nothing to him. Use your
Flare spell and Holy spell on him if you like. But I suggest
saving them for the 2 other bosses later. Keep your Red Wizard
and White Wizard as the healer and the party booster. As always
use Haste + Physcal Attack from your Knight and Master.

That is 3 fiends down. You should already know whose the next one
is ;)
B4 : The strongest weapon in the game is located here! I _highly_
suggest that you get it! From the stairs make your way all the
way to the southeast part of the room. Go as far as you can go and
you will eventaully see a room. Inside is a chest containing the
powerful Masamune! Total w00tage! The sword can equip with any
classes in the game. As well as boosting their attack power
massively! With this on one of your Knight (or Master) and the
Excalibur on your other ones you can do major damage! Let's
continue on. From the room, go northwest to where you're once at.
The new staircase is located exactly to thhe east of the one you
came in from. As you continue to go to the new stairs. You will
once again encounter the 4th fiend!
