This is a Walkthrough for Digimon World 1. It was based on my experiences, and
no information on this FAQ was contributed. If you follow this Walkthrough you
will have a nice time playing this game. The Walkthrough is separated in
"Areas". Each area means a part of the game. I will include all Recruit-able
Digimon as we read along. For now I will list the Walkthrough until Mt.Infinity.
When I finish that, I will make a second area of the Walkthrough for after
Beating Mt.Infinity. Have a good time.

and

Good Luck!

Avast matey, thar be spoilers ahead!

When you start a new game, Jijimon will ask a couple of things. Here you will
also choose your name, and your Digimon's name. You can change your Digimon's
Name later, but your name cannot be changed... Your choices will decide if you
start with Agumon or Gabumon.

After you answer his questions, you will begin the game in front of Jijimon's
House. You and Jijimon will talk about what's going on in the Digi Island. You
will enter the house and exit automatically. Get back in Jijimon's House and
talk to Tokomon; he will give you some useful Items to begin with.

After getting the Items with Tokomon go to Tanemon on the top of File City. He
will give you 3 Pieces of Meat every day. Never forget to get them from him.

Now you should go directly to train. The training ground is located just to the
left of the screen where you see Jijimon's House from outside.

If you started with an Agumon, train: 100 Offense, 100 Defense, 100 Speed and
100 Brains.

If you started with an Gabumon train: 1000 MP and 100 Speed, also train 100
Offense to make it easier beating Agumon

After training go down from the Training Gym and you will be in Native Forest!

NOTE* With your first Digimon, do not let him poop on the floor, do not over
train him and always feed him when he is hungry. If you need to rest, enter
Jijimon's House and talk to Punimon (the red little ball) and he will rest you.

Great, you should now be in Native Forest with a couple of Items and and Agumon
or Gabumon with OK stats.

As you walk through Native Forest you may find Items such as Happy Mushroom,
Blue Apple, Digi Mushroom, Digipine and Deluxe Mushroom. You will mostly find
Digi Mushrooms and Happy Mushrooms, any of the other stated above, will be luck!

At the 1st screen after File City you will have your first battle. It will be an
Agumon. He is really weak and with the stats you should have trained you will
beat him easily. This is a nice Chance to learn Sonic Jab / Spit Fire.

The screen below that leads to Drill Tunnel and the rest of Native Forest. Go
down for now. Now you should see some enemy Digimon, I don't really think
fighting will help now. For now just walk around Native Forest and collect Digi
Mushrooms and/or any other Items you find.

After you collect some Digi Mushrooms go back to the Training Gym. If you have
Agumon focus on training Offense and HP. If you have Gabumon focus on training
MP and Speed/Brains. In a few days (to be exact 3-4) your Digimon should
Digivolve!

After you have obtained your Champion Digimon train just a little bit more.

OK, now you are ready to start recruiting new Digimon to the city. Head back to
Native Forest. Get to the screen with a toilet. From there, go right. You should
be in Kunemon's Bed. Talk to Kunemon and he will ask for a Food Item. If you
give one to him, he will fight you. This battle should be easy with your
Champion. After you beat him there will be a passage from Digimon Bridge
directly to File City!

If you need to heal yourself, head back to Jijimon's House and rest. If you
don't need to heal, go to the screen you just came from. Now go down.

You should see a Palmon to the top-right area of the screen. Talk to her 4 times
and she will fight. Palmon is very useful to the city, she takes place on the
Meat Farm and you now get 3 Pieces of Giant Meat instead of Meat! The battle is
fairly easy.

Now head to the second screen after exiting File City, go left and you should be
in Drill Tunnel.

You should now have a Champion Digimon and an acceptable numbers of Items in
your inventory.

In Drill Tunnel there is almost nothing to do so I will tell you the direct ways
to go.

First go down. Now turn left. There should be a Drimogeomon rolling on the
floor, talk to him. He will fight you because of the "heat". He has about 1000HP
and can be beaten as easy as Palmon. Now go back a screen, you should be in a
screen with 3 Goburimon. Go right.

Now you should enter Underground Pond.

The only thing you can do here is carry dirt.

Talk to the digging Drimogeomon and he will ask you if you want to carry dirt.
Answer yes.

Carrying dirt is easy, all you have to do is press (X) on the dirt pile and then
head back to Drill Tunnel Entrance. Head back to Drimogeomon and talk to him.
Repeat the process until there is no more Dirt.

Carrying dirt gives you Money and raises your stats slightly for every trip.

NOTE* If you tell Drimogeomon you don't want to carry dirt, head back there in 3
Days and there will be no more dirt.

Ahhh... The Lava Cave. You should now be in a screen with a big boulder, and the
Drimogeomon standing by it. Go talk to Drimogeomon and he will say that he can't
drill through the boulder. But don't worry; your Digimon will help you out ;)

Now, you are in a screen with a Lava river below you, and a passage to the top-
right area, head to the top-right passage. Now you should see a Meramon using
Heat Laser; trying to destroy the Island ^_^

He will fight you; he has about 2000 HP. He uses only fire Attacks. Make sure to
have a fire Digimon when fighting with him; since you might learn his
techniques!

After beating him he will get convinced that the Island has another salvation;
other then destruction.

Now go up and open the 2 Computers found there. Head back to the first screen,
and a passage will open (where you saw the Lava River)

Go there and you will find some DemiMeramon's. One of them collects Meramon
cards; he trades you Meramon cards for money. The others just talk. Get the
Computer on the first screen after the Lava River. Go up and on the top-right
corner of the screen you can enter a little room with 2 Chips. Make sure not to
miss those!

Head back to where the Lava River was and head to the bottom-left corner. You
should now be in a screen with another Drimogeomon, talk to him and he should
say something like "We're not done digging here yet"
Return after 3 days and he will join the city.

Now you're done with Drill Tunnel and Lava Cave! FOREVER!!! Hurray!!!

Next head back to Kunemon's Bed (on Native Forest) and go to the bottom-right
passage. Go down again. Now you are at Coela Point!!!!

To get Coelamon to show up, you must be there while the screen is red (Noon). If
not he won't be there!

Talk to Coelamon and he will take you to the other side of the river (Tropical
Jungle)

The Digimon Bridge is now fixed. Head back to Coela Point and talk to Coelamon
again. This time he will join the city.

You're done for Coela Point.

Hopefully you have a powerful Champion or Ultimate Digimon with Decent stats,
also some Recovery and Food Items.

From the Digimon Bridge, you should go right. Now you see 2 Aruraimon's and a
machine. The Machine recovers your MP for money. I don't advise you to heal MP
thorough that Machine since it's expensive and you can rest for free in File
City.

Head right, where you see the Banana Tree, if you are lucky a Piximon will be
there. Piximon is really hard since he has Confusion Storm and Bug. Only fight
him if you have a strong Digimon _and_ recovery Items.

To the very right of that screen you will see a Computer. Open it for a Medium
MP Floppy, to the right of the Computer head up. At the top of that screen you
will see Betamon. Just talk to him and he will join.

The screen to the left of Betamon there are some RedVegiemon's. And there should
be a little space with nothing inside it. If you heard about the plant living in
Tropical Jungle from Yuramon, you will see a double-leafed plant.

Use a Rain Plant to make the double-leafed plant become a Vegiemon! Just talk to
Vegiemon and he will join.

Head to the screen with the Banana Tree and go right. You should now be in Amida
Forest.

                        -= III. Recruiting Digimon =-

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
==============================================================================

On Digimon World, the only way to beat the game is by recruiting Digimon.

your Digimon will trap him.

Bakemon -Talk to him on Overdell Cemetery (Then answer: Yes, Yes, No)
Patrol - "Patrols" your city
Location - Overdell Cemetery

Centarumon - When you get to Amida Forest, there will be a sign that says:
"Trespassers will be shot!" On the next screen your mission is to get to the O.
It may sound easy, but you will need Recoveries. After you walk for a while,
Centarumon will shoot you! That will knock out some HP. If your HP reaches 0,
you will have to start from the beginning. So every time you get shot, recover
to prevent starting over! *NOTE* If you reach the end, and by mistake go to the
X, you will fail and start from the beginning.
City - Opens a Digimon Clinic. (Sells you Bandages, Medicine, Rests your Digimon
and heals him.)

were a Drimogeomon was digging, it will be opened. There you will find his
"Stone Tablet". With that item in hand, go talk to him and give him the stone.
City - Stays by the Birdramon on Birdra's Transport (useless)

Sukamon - When you get to Trash Mountain, before talking to any Sukamon, go to
the one on the North-West one (Top-Right) and talk to him before talking to any
other Sukamon.
Toilet - When you see him on your town, you can happily sleep by the toilet.
Doing that, your Digimon won't poop on the floor.
Location - Trash Mountain

Nanimon - Talk to him in all 5 locations. Which are:
    ~~~~~ Where you found Leomon's Tablet. (Drill Tunnel)
    ~~~~~ The same place where you fought Meteormon at Ancient Speedy Zone.
    ~~~~~ Toy Town, head back to where you fought WaruMonzaemon.
    ~~~~~ The screen where you defeated Numemon at Factorial Town...
    ~~~~~ After beating Ogremon in his fortress in Great Canyon. Go to the same
room where you fought him (the one with the elevator). He won't always be there;
he is kind of random ;)
City - Nothing
Location - Various
Kokatorimon - At Misty Trees, there is a screen with some frozen Digimon (maybe
petrified?). If you go to that screen in the morning, a Kokatorimon should be at
the top of the screen. Fight and win.
*NOTE* This is a very good chance to learn Megalo Spark :)
Statue - Makes a Scare Crow by the Toilet. (Useless?)
Location - Misty Trees
Birdramon - When you first reach Great Canyon, about on the third screen after
the entrance there should be an elevator. You will notice you can't go down. So
press up and walk up to the nest. Birdramon will come flying your way and he
will want to battle for his nest. Win.
*NOTE* If you win the battle, Birdramon will take you back to your city.
City - He makes the Birdra Transport. (The Birdra Transport takes you back to
places you've been. But you have to pay for them!)
Location - Great Canyon Top Area
I took the freedom of writing a Mini-Chart for Birdra Transport:
 _______________________________________
|  Location               |     BITS    |
 ---------------------------------------
| Great Canyon Top Area   |  1000 BITS  |
| Gear Savanna            |  1000 BITS  |
| Ancient Dino Region     |  1500 BITS  |
| Freeze Land             |  2000 BITS  |
| Misty Trees             |  2500 BITS  |
| Beetle Land             |  2500 BITS  |
 ---------------------------------------
Tyrannamon - When you first enter Dino Region, you will have to fight
Tyrannamon. Win. Later in the game, when you go to Ancient Speedy Zone, you will
find a Meteormon in the end. Win. If you go meet Tyrannamon after defeating
Meteormon, you will have a little conversation with Tyrannamon and Master
Tyrannamon. After talking he will join.
City - He opens the Restaurant or takes place as the seller at certain times.
Location - Dino Region
Meramon - When you are in the Drill Tunnel, fight the "crazy" Drimogeomon. Then
go to the screen with a digging Drimogeomon. He will ask you if you want to
work. Answer yes. The game is "Dirt Carrying". Grab a pile of dirt and bring it
to the exit of the Drill Tunnel. Repeat the process until there is no more dirt.
Then you will see a passage open where the Drimogeomon was. There will be a
large rock. But don't worry; your Digimon will take care of that. When you go in
you will meet Meramon. Battle. Win.
City - He takes a place in the restaurant at certain times ;)
Location - Further into the Drill Tunnel (forgot the actual location's name!)
Garurumon - When you meet Garurumon on Freeze Land he will battle. If you win,
he will ask you to come back again the next day. To recruit him you have to
fight him again. But this time, you can't use any Items or Commands. So make
sure your Digimon is strong.
City - He opens the Restaurant or takes place as the seller at certain times.
Location - Freeze Land
Frigimon - When in Freeze Land, take one of these Digimon with you:
  - Agumon
  - Greymon
  - Tyrannamon
  - Meramon
  - Monochromon
  - Kunemon
  - Kuwagamon
  - Kabuterimon
  - All baby and In-Training Digimon
Eventually, your Digimon will get sick. Let him faint. Chances are a Frigimon
will come save you. If he does, he will take you to his house and you have a
talk. After all the talking, Digivolve to any Digimon that is not on the list
above. After evolving, go back to Frigimon's house and talk to him.
City - He opens the Restaurant or takes place as the seller at certain times.
Location - Freeze Land / Frigimon's House
Greymon - First of all, get 15 Prosperity Rate or more, then talk to Jijimon. He
should say you have 15 or more Prosperity rate. If you exit the screen, a
Greymon will run into your direction. He will want to battle for the Street
Sign... (Even though the city does not have one ;). Win.
City - He opens Greymon's Arena.
Location - File City
Monochromon - When in Great Canyon, at the first screen, there should be a
Bathroom and a door to the right of the Bathroom. Enter the door. If you talk to
Monochromon, he will want you to play a Mini-Game and see if it's worth joining
your City. The point of the game is to get more then 3200 BITS. If you do, he
will join; if you don't, you can always try again ;)
City - He opens the Item Shop or takes place of other Shop Keepers! (The Item
Shop takes place of the Item Stand. And more Items will become avaible for
sale.)
Location - Great Canyon
Mojyamon - Trade all of the Items they want. The last one you trade with, will
join. (Refer to Chapter 8 for a deep understanding.
City - He opens the Item Shop or takes place of other Shop Keepers! (The Item
Shop takes place of the Item Stand. And more Items will become avaible for
sale.)
Location - Freeze Land
Unimon - After having Centarumon in your city, he can be found on Mt.Panorama
(correct me if I am wrong!) lying on the floor. Give him any recovery Item and
he will fly back to the city.
Location - Mt.Panorama Spore Area (???)
Whamon - When you meet her at Freeze Land, she will ask for help. If you say
that you can help, she will take you to the Secret Beach Cave. When you go
there, your mission is to kick Ogremon out of the cave. But I warn you: He will
fight along with an Agumon and a WaruSeadramon.
City - Transports you to Secret Beach Cave or Factorial Town for free.
Location - Freeze Land
Seadramon - Fish him on the Dragon Eye Lake. Then ask to be friends (he doesn't
really join) (Refer to Chapter 5 for a Seadramon Guide)
Various - After you fish, if you ask to:
1. "Let's be friends" - You will get a blue flute and can go to Beetle Land
anytime.
2. "Teach me a technique" - He will teach you an Ice/Water technique you don't
have yet.
3. "I want an Item" - He gives you his Digivolution item. (Water Bottle)
(You can fish him as many times as needed until you choose to be friends)
Location - Dragon Eye Lake
Coelamon - When you are in Kunemon's Bed, turn right and then go down. You
should now be at Coela Point. Talk to the Coelamon twice. (He only shows up at
Noon)
Tend - He makes a little tend (a small shop)
Location - Coela Point
Angemon - You can only enter the Ice Sanctuary if your Digimon is of the vaccine
type.  The Ice Sanctuary is located northwest of the Freezeland toilet.  When
you first enter the Ice Sanctuary, you will see Angemon's glowing statue.
Inspect the statue up close, and your Digimon will alert you to a hidden
passageway underneath it.  Head down the passageway, into a small hallway with
Gotsumon and a blue Meramon. If you head north to the end of the hallway, you
will find a training area, but nothing else.  The secret to the Ice Sanctuary is
a hidden passage in the eastern wall of the main hallway.  Near the Gotsumon,
you will find a darkened portion of the wall on your right side.  Walk against
it, and you will find that it is really an open passage. Continue on through the
passageway, where Gururumon and Hyogamon patrol.  Enter the next room, and you
will find four teleporting devices.  Teleporting devices look like columns of
light that have black pyramids within them.  Be careful which teleporter you
walk into though!  Only one of them is the correct one which will let you
continue on your journey.  The other three place you in random places in the Ice
Sanctuary: in front of the Ice Sanctuary, in the training area, or back out with
Angemon's statue. To save you some trouble, here's the answer.  When you first
enter the room with the teleporters, head to the east and use the first
teleporter you see there.  You will end up with more enemies to fight, but on
the right path.  In the next room that has transporters, take the northeastern
transporter.  This transporter will take you to the final room, where a Hyogamon
and two Gotsumon will be waiting for you.  Defeat all three, and you will be
able to free Angemon's spirit, which you can find near the southern wall of the
room.  Once his spirit has left, leave the sanctuary basement.  The only
important thing is that you have to come up from the stairs that your Digimon
found underneath Angemon.  Once you do, Angemon will greet you, and tell you
about his plans for joining the city.  Angemon will join the city as Jijimon's
assistant, and will give you information about where to look next for
recruitment Digimon.
City - He modifies Jijimon's House and he gives you advice on whom to recruit to
your city (helpful ;)
Location - Ice Sanctuary
Drimogeomon - When you do what you need to reach Meramon, in the first screen
after moving the rock, go down. There should be another Drimogeomon digging. If
you talk to him, he will say it's going to take a while. Go back in 3 days and
talk to him.
City - Digs for items. (For money off course.)
Location - Drill Tunnel
Shellmon - First find Shellmon she will say she needs help (after beating
Ogremon in his Hideout) then go to the elevator on Ogremon's Hideout and your
guy should say that's causing the floor to shake. Then it will ask you if you
want to go in it. Press No. Now go to where Shellmon was (but you have to go
trough Freeze Land or it won't work) and she will be waiting to thank you.
City - She makes the Shell Newspaper (updates after a recruitment of rare
Digimon) (there are 8 Topics)
Location - Great Canyon
Ninjamon - After you have someone on the Secret Item Shop, go to the screen
where the Digimon Bridge is and you will see a whirl-wind...Battle. Win.
City - Sits on the Secret Item Shop and talks about items.
Location - Digimon Bridge
Vegiemon - Talk to Yuramon about the Plant Living in the Tropical Jungle. Then
on the 15'Th of that month get a Rain Plant by the Tanemon resting and take it
to the double leafed plant on Tropical Jungle. Use your rain plant and tell her
you like Vegetables ;)
City - Takes place of Palmon and gives you 3 Sirloin every day. 5 When he is
happy. And also sells Super Carrots and Hawk Radishes for 500 BITS each ;)
Airdramon - After you have 40 Prosperity talk to Jijimon. When you leave the
screen he will come flying at you and; knocking out some HP. Fight. Win
City - He sleeps by the Fire Place on Jijimon's house. Then after finishing
Mt.Infinity he becomes a Fortune Teller.
Devimon - When your about to reach the end of Mt.Infinity he will battle you.
Win. But note that he will only join after you beat the game.
City - He opens the Secret Item Shop or takes place of other Shop Keepers! (The
Secret Item Shop takes place in the Item Shop)
Location - Mt.Infinity
Numemon - Go to Factorial Town and enter the sewers. Talk to the "crazy"
Numemon. Then go to Andromon and he will say he can't shut down the Factory.
Then if you try to enter the Factory there will be 2 Guardromons standing. When
your clock reaches the Top (when the pointer is at the very top), go to the
place with the Guardromon were and they should be gone. Enter the Factory and
then beat Giromon. Now go back and talk to Andromon then he will shut down the
factory. Now go back to Numemon, he should be normal now. Battle. Win.
City - He opens the Secret Item Shop or takes place of other Shop Keepers! (The
Secret Item Shop takes place in the Item Shop)
Location - Sewers
(TIP: Go fight Numemon with a Filth Type Digimon, since Numemon only has about
300 HP and has all Filth Techniques. You _must_ learn at least one of them since
he _only_ uses filth Techs ;)
  3 - Ultimates
*****************
Piximon - Appears randomly at the entrance of the Tropical Jungle. (Keep
entering and exiting the screen until he appears ;)
City - Sells Training Manual in the Item Shop. (50,000 BITS)
Location - Tropical Jungle
Forest. Now go to the door then Etemon drops down knocking out a lot of HP.
Battle. Win.
Digimon Bridge - Sells Golden Banana's at the Digimon Bridge. (50,000 BITS)
Location - Tree House / Native Forest
Monzaemon - Go to Toy Town with a Numemon, and enter the Costume House. Go
inside the Monzaemon costume and now your new Digimon is Monzaemon. Go in the
other building and talk to Tinmon. He will unlock the mansion doors. Make your
way through the mansion and beat WaruMonzaemon. When you get back, go to the
Tinmons and they'll thank you. They will tell you about a gear WaruMonzaemon
gave back. It's really Hagurumon, now a Monzaemon joins the city or should I say
another costume. At least Monzaemon is still your Digimon and not Numemon.
City - Nothing
Location - Toy Town
Andromon - Do what you did to get Numemon but now return to Andromon. He says
he'll join you when he's done with repairs, so return the next day.
City - Stands by the Birdra Transport (Useless?)
Location - Factorial Town
Giromon - Go back to Factorial Town when the repairs are done. After Andromon
joined you Giromon should be OK. Now he joins you.
City - Makes a Jukebox. (BEWARE! THE MACHINE FREEZES YOUR GAME!)
Location - Factorial Town
Vademon - After you get SkullGreymon at your arena you will get more news about
the UFO. (On the Shell Newspaper) Go back to those weird symbols in the spore
him to join the city. You do not have to fight him.
City - Works in the Restaurant.
Location - Mt. Panorama
MetalGreymon - Right before you fight Machinedramon on Mt. Infinity you will
find a MetalGreymon. Battle. Win.
Jijimon and you got SkullGreymon in the city!
City - He competes in the arena so be prepared for a fight if you go to an
"Grade A" or "Grade S" Cup.
Location - Grey Lord's Mansion
MetalMamemon - Go to Factorial Town at the 2nd screen away from Whamon. You
should see MetalMamemon in a corner. He does not appear if you don't have
Andromon, Giromon, Penguinmon and Numemon. When you go to talk to him his name
will say METALGREYMON but it's him..... (He is very random, keep entering and
exiting the screen until he is there.)
City - Does curling. But only after you beat Penguinmon 10 x 0
Location - Factorial Town
Mamemon - Rarely when you go to the screen at Mt.Panorama where there are
MudFrigimons, they won't be there, but a Mamemon instead. He will be running
around the end of the plains. Battle. Win. He appears randomly so don't count on
seeing him at the same time as you did on another game. (Do the process you did
to get Piximon or MetalMamemon ;)
City - Sells Super Disks in the secret item shop.
Location - Mt. Panorama
MegaDramon - When you're going up Mt. Infinity right before the place where
MetalGreymon is you'll see MegaDramon. Go and talk to him. Then choose "But I
have to test my strength!" Battle. Win.
City - Just brags outside the arena. (Also becomes very strong fighter at the
Arena's "Grade S" Tournaments.)
items...
City - Works in the restaurant.
Location - Mt. Infinity
                         -= V. Digivolution Tree =-
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
===============================================================================
Here I will do the Digivolution Tree! I will first start from Rookies to
Ultimates. I'm not going to start from the Egg because: first, there wouldn't be
enough space. Second, it would take me years!!! (Okay! Days...) And third,
because you would need to have very good eyes to find the Digimon names ^_^
*START NOTE* I will not insert Numemon, Nanimon and Sukamon. Any Digimon in the
game can Digivolve to them! So I decided it was a waste of space. Also I'm not
using Vademon since all Champions can get this one. *END NOTE*
Metal Banana / MetalEtemon
- When I was almost finishing the game I thought: "Hmmm, how about I finish the game
with a Filth Type Digimon?" so then I started buying _Golden Bananas_ from Etemon. I
got a Sukamon and started training him. Then I used my Golden Banana and he evolved.
I lived with Etemon until he died but no matter what I couldn't get to learn Ultimate
Poop Hell. So I repeated the process like 15 times until I learned all filth techs.
Then when I went to buy another Golden Banana for my "ultimate" Sukamon to evolve to
Etemon .And then I was going to beat the game with Etemon. When I got to Etemon he
said. 'Uhhhhhh....ummmm.....err....I found this on the floor...It's no use to me
since it's too hard! Here ....er.... you can have it...'
MetalEtemon....Nothing special about him though, no extra stats, just a Silver-Like
- Found anywhere, but VERY, VERY rarely! According to Hagrid111@aol.com you can find
these mostly at the first screen of Beetle Land. According to Hagrid111, if you like
to visit Beetle Land often, chances are you will have a full stock of these!
- 4000 Bits (I'm not really sure... I had 8000 before, but Hagrid111 says it's 4000!)
NOTE*** Garfield13 said he could never find one, I guess these are the rarest items!
  Training and Stat Raising
*****************************
Unlike other Adventure/RPG's, Digimon World is not the normal EXP gaining /
Level-Up games. You'll have to train hard (Not as much as you think ;) ) instead
of endless battles. And your digimon will fade away (So does its stats). This
might make it more interesting but also more difficult.
There are ways to increase stats gain during training; which are:
Get Kabuterimon and Kuwagamon to your City
Get Training Manual from Piximon
Get a higher Discipline
Use Items like Digipine
When you Digivolve to a better, bigger and stronger Digimon your stats will go
up. But when it evolves to a weaker digimon (Sukamon, Nanimon and Numemon) His
stats will decrease.
When your digimon fades away your new digimon will have 10% of the last
Digimon's Stats.
Besides training, you can also raise your stats by:
Fighting (Not worth it)
Feeding your Digimon Stat Raising Items (Refer to Chapter V for full Items
Guide)
  Battle's Control System
***************************
The battle system here is completely different from most other RPG's because
it's not turn based and you do not have 100% control of your Digimon in battle.
When you lose a battle you lose a heart and maybe Items!!! Every Digimon is
given 3 hearts, if you lose all 3 Hearts, you will lose 1-10 Techniques after
death!!! So make sure you don't lose 3 Heart...
  In battle
*************
During battle's you'll notice your HP and MP meter and 2 commands on the top
left side of the screen, you'll also notice that you can use different techs in
the game. Plus, there is a word coming up (FINISH), after it is done, if you
press Square you can use your Finisher.
When you lose a battle you lose a heart and maybe Items!!! If you lose all 3
Hearts, you _will_ lose about 1-10 Techniques after he dies!!! So make sure you
don't lose 3 Hearts...
  Important Things in Battle
******************************
A) Stats
Stats are divided into 6 which are:
HP -
Determines your Health Points in battle, if all of your HP is lost, you'll lose
the battle.
MP -
Determines your Mana/Magic Power in battle, you'll use MP when you attack
(excluding finish)
Offense -
Determines the attack damage your opponent will receive in one hit
Defense -
Determines the attack damage you will receive in one hit
Speed -
Determines how fast your digimon will attack and listen to your command
Brains -
Determines the number of command you'll have in battle.
  Commands
************
When you have less then 100 brain stat;
You'll have:
1) Your call
This basically command your digimon to do whatever it wants to do
2) Run
You'll run to the previous screen that you came.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
When you have 100 Brains Stat;
You'll have:
Attack
This will make your Digimon use its strongest attack and will just keep on
attacking without defending
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
When you have 200 Brains Stat;
You'll have:
Moderate
Your Digimon will use its weakest attack then run
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
When you have 300 Brains Stat;
You'll have
1) Switch
This will have your Digimon switch target
2) Distance
Have your digimon get away from the opponent Digimon great for evading tech like
buster dive
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
When you have 400 Brains Stat;
You'll have:
Defend
Your Digimon will try to evade the enemy's attacks. If it does, you will only
take 20% of the Damage.
For this to be effective you must have a High Defense Stat
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
When you have 500 Brains Stat;
You'll have:
You'll be able to choose every tech you have and the attack and moderate command
will disappear. Your Digimon will only use that attack and as if you're using
the attack command
===============================================================================
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                           -= VIII. Catching Seadramon =-
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
===============================================================================
1. First, you should go beat WaruMonzaemon...After you beat him, go back to Toy
Town and talk to one of the Tankmons; one of them should say something about
Seadramon.
2. After talking to the Tankmon that says something about Seadramon, go and
recruit Angemon. After he is at File City, sometime he should say something
about a "Lake Keeper" in the Dragon Eye Lake.
3. After hearing about Seadramon from Tankmon and Angemon, go and recruit
Shellmon. When you recruit him he will open the "Shell Newspaper". After
recruiting him you should already have the topic "Guardian Of The Lake", or in
my version of the game "The Lake Keeper / Guardian"...Read it.
4. After steps 1, 2 and 3, buy some cards. Now go to ShogunGekomon. Trade your
cards for "Merit Points". Once you get 300 Merit Points trade them for an
"Amazing Rod"... Refer to Chapter 8 (ShogunGekomon's Merit Points And Prices),
for a complete Card Guide
5. After steps 1, 2, 3 and 4 you should go buy 99 meats, since you might spend
some time trying to catch Seadramon!
6. Go to the South-Eastern (Bottom-Left) part of Native Forest. Now you should
be at the Dragon Eye Lake...The one in which you see the fish from the side, and
not above...
7. Once in the Dragon Eye Lake, look at the top-right part of the lake, there
should be _no_ fish there. Keep looking for about 30 Seconds, if you don't see a
Big Fish Shadow (which is Seadramon), leave the screen and repeat the process
until you see a Big Fish Shadow.
NOTE*** Seadramon appears 70% of the time, if you go there at Morning or Noon.
8. Once you see him there, throw the bait on _his_ path. If you can get him to
eat the bait, let him get as far as possible. (Be careful not to let Seadramon
escape)...If you keep pulling little by little you will get him soon. If you can
be patient and not throw any small fit at the range of the TV or the
Playstation, you can get him "like that". If you use the trick I just gave you,
you should only need 1-3 Meats (MAX!!)
  Beetle Land
***************
Once you get to Beetle Land, the following tasks can be accomplished there:
- Recruit Kuwagamon
- Recruit Kabuterimon
- Participate in the 'Beetle Tournament'
- Train
- Learn Bug
  Recruiting Kabuterimon and Kuwagamon
****************************************
Name: Kuwagamon
Location: Beetle Land - Left house - Top Kuwagamon
Information: Once you talk to the top Kuwagamon, he will ask you what he need to beat
Kabuterimon; you will have three options:
1) Hmmm. You gotta get stronger
2) Actually, there is a sure fire
3) way... well hang in there
Answer option 2 to make him join.
Name: Kabuterimon
Location: Beetle Land - Right house - Left Kabuterimon
Information: Once you talk to the top Kuwagamon, he will ask you where you train; you
will have two options:
1) Maybe it's a Training Ground
2) Maybe it's an Arena
Answer option 2 to make him join.
  Participating in the 'Beetle Tournament'
*******************************************
To participate in the 'Beetle Tournament' you must first have one of these as your
Digimon:
- Kunemon
- Kuwagamon
- Kabuterimon
- Hercules-Kabuterimon
After you have any of those as your Digimon, you must go there at the 22nd of any
year. If you go there any other day, you will not be able to participate.
  The Prizes
**************
I have only known about the 1st and 2nd place prizes:
1st Place = Beetle Pearl
2nd Place = Horn Helmet or Scissor Jaw
3rd Place = ???
  Training Area Ground
************************
Location: Beetle Land
Offers: Hammer Smash, Rock Pushing, Treadmill and Striking (Offense, Defense, HP
and Speed
===============================================================================
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                             -= IX. Rumors =-
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
===============================================================================
In this game, everyone wants to get "famous" about it. So the most things you
can find on the Digimon Boards are rumors! I have tested all of them, and got to
a conclusion that only 35% are real. So here I will list the ones that I have
been able to get, and the ones I couldn't get no matter what!
I Have Been Able To Do/Get:
METALETEMON
- When I was almost finishing the game I thought: "Hmmm, how about I finish the game
with a Filth Type Digimon?" so then I started buying _Golden Bananas_ from Etemon. I
got a Sukamon and started training him. Then I used my Golden Banana and he evolved.
I lived with Etemon until he died but no matter what I couldn't get to learn Ultimate
Poop Hell. So I repeated the process like 15 times until I learned all filth techs.
Then when I went to buy another Golden Banana for my "ultimate" Sukamon to evolve to
Etemon .And then I was going to beat the game with Etemon. When I got to Etemon he
said. 'Uhhhhhh....ummmm.....err....I found this on the floor...It's no use to me
since it's too hard! Here ....er.... you can have it...'
After that it said "You found a Silver Banana!!!" Then I evolved my Sukamon to
MetalEtemon....Nothing special about him though, no extra stats, just a Silver-Like
Etemon!!!
-PHOENIXMON
    - Gee, everyone says he's just a rumor. But I have gotten him _several_
times easily. But that I will discuss later on the "Digivolving" section....
-HERCULES KABUTERIMON
   -  Gee, everyone says he's just a rumor. But I have gotten him _several_
times easily. But that I will discuss later on the "Digivolving" section....
-MEGASEADRAMON
   -  Gee, everyone says he's just a rumor. But I have gotten him _several_
times easily. But that I will discuss later on the "Digivolving" section....
I Have Not Been Able To Get No Matter What:
-GIGADRAMON
   -  I have tried everything everyone has already told me about on getting
him...But no success...He is _only_ , I repeat _only_ avaible thru a GameShark!
-KING SUKAMON*
  -  Hint: KingSukamon:
"Get your Digimon's virus count to 16 so it evolves into a Sukamon. Its virus
count will go back to 0. Then, get its virus count back up to 16. This time, it
will evolve into KingSukamon. "
*The message above can be found on Game Winners, it is a _lie_ because, if you
evolve into _Sukamon_ and you poop on the floor, the virus count won't go up.
So, the virus count won't _ever_ go up if you have _Sukamon_ as your Digimon!
-WARGREYMON
  - I remember I found this information on a site:
"First get a Greymon, and then die with him twice. Now you should have a Greymon
with 1 heart left. Now go and buy 1 Agumon Card, 2 Greymon Cards, and 3
MetalGreymon cards. Now go fight MetalGreymon on Mt.Infinity _with_ your
Greymon. After you knock out at least 5000 HP from him, let your Greymon die.
When you get back to Jijimon's House you will Digivolve to a WARGREYMON!!!!!"
^
^--------worst lie anyone can ever say.....
-WEREGARURUMON
  - It says to feed your Digimon Moon Mirror, which can _only_ be reached thru
GameShark. If you feed any champion it won't work, but if you feed it to a
Garurumon, you will be able to see WereGarurumon's feet, and if you battle it
freeze!!!! He can be obtained in the Japanese Version of this game though!
===============================================================================
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                             -= X. Tips =-
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
===============================================================================
Here I will give Tips on Digimon World!
View your opponent's HP:
Simply press Select to view your opponent's HP and press Select again to make it
disappear.
Faster Training:
Press Triangle when you begin the training. You will get the same amount of
training -- it will just seem faster. Note: If you are training your Digimon's
defense at the Green Gym, you must wait for the boxing glove to get back in
position.
Digivolve to Ultimate:
To Digivolve to an Ultimate easily, take note of the happiness and discipline.
Make sure they are full before age 12. Then, feed them regularly, no stress
training (train frequently), rest regularly, and make sure the weight counts. Do
not feed it too heavy or to light. These rules do not go for some Digimon
though.
Enter mansion in jungle cemetery:
Your Digimon partner must be one of the following types to enter: Betamon,
Devimon, Numemon, MetalGreymon, Kabuterimon, Vegiemon, SkullGreymon, Vademon,
Kunemon, Ogremon, Bakemon, Sukamon, Etemon, Kuwagamon, Nanimon, or MegaDramon.
Any other Digimon will not be allowed to enter.
Enter the Ice Sanctuary in Freezeland:
To enter the Ice Sanctuary, you must have a Vaccine-type Digimon. Only the
following Digimon can enter the Ice Sanctuary: Agumon, Greymon, Airdramon,
Monzaemon, Kabuterimon, Garurumon, Angemon, Frigimon, Birdramon, Whamon, Unimon,
Andromon, Giromon, Biyomon, Palmon, Kokatorimon, Leomon, Mojyamon, and
Phoenixmon. Any Digimon other than listed here are either Data or Virus-type
Digimon, and cannot enter the Ice Sanctuary.
Enter Factorial Town:
After you recruit Whamon, you can travel to the dock side of Factorial Town.
There you will find an Andromon in the Computer Room. You must recruit both
Giromon (you will find him wrecking a bad computer) and Andromon to open the
main doors to Factorial Town. The doors are at Gear Savanna.
Ogremon's Fortress:
After completing the game, go to Ogremon's Fortress. You will not enter it, but
will enter a backdoor to Infinity Mountain and its two floors. Once you get out
of it, you will enter Ogremon's Fortress. Analogman and Machinedramon are there.
Analogman disappears, and you have to fight Machinedramon. He has the exact same
stats and attacks as when you first completed the game.
Fixed Digimon Bridge:
Start a new game. When the yellow dot is on the red part (4:00 to 8:00 p.m.) on
the clock at the upper left side of the screen, go to Coela Point. You should
still be on your first day in the Digi World. Meet Coelamon and go across the
river. On the next screen are three ways to go. Go left. On the next screen,
there should be two Patamons (blue). Go across the bridge. When you cross the
bridge you should be right next to Kunemon's bed. The bridge is now fixed on the
first day.
Get the fishing rod:
When you are done with the Tunnel quest, the mountain will be open. Go there and
keep going up to reach a large plain. Do not go there. Instead, go to the east,
then go down. Keep going and another view of the plain will appear. Go in there,
then go up, Once you are at the end, go to the right until you get to the end to
reach Trash Mountain. Go in it and you will encounter two Digimon. Then, go up
and you will find the fishing rod.
Mysty egg:
After you defeat Ogremon at Drill Tunnel, go back to the Secret Cave. Go to the
back of the cave. There is a PC at that location, with the Mysty egg inside.
X Bandage:
Get X Bandage in Toy Town for a Hagururumon card, WaruMonzaemon card, and a Toy
Agumon card (Monzaemon).
Discount on items at Item shop:
When you have a baby or in-training type Digimon, go to the item shop and buy
anything. You should get a discount.
Easy bits:
Go to Factorial Town at Midnight and defeat Platinum-Sukamon. He will drop 3000
bits per battle. Note: He will not show up in the daytime.
To get maximum bits at one time (198,000), have 49,500 bits in your file. You
may also need an Auto Pilot. Go to the Item Shop (better if you go with in-
training or baby Digimon) and buy 99 Medium Recoveries. This will waste all your
money for now, but you will get four times more later. You will get a discount
if you have a baby or in-training Digimon of any kind. Go to Freezeland and talk
the Mojyamon that trades Medium Recovery for a Super Defense Disk. Trade all
your Medium Recoveries for Super Defense Disks. A glitch might take place when
you finish trading all of it. The Mojyamon could trap you and you cannot move --
use the Auto Pilot to go back to the city. You should have 99 Super Defense
Disks and no Medium Recoveries by the end. Go to the item shop and sell all your
Super Defense Disks for 2000 bits each. You will end up with 198,000 bits.
Bakemon:
To get Bakemon, go to the Overdell (the jungle cemetery) and talk to him. If you
are going at night, you will see similar Digimon with hats on. Do not talk to
these as they will fight you. Once you do find Bakemon, you will need to answer
his questions correctly. The answers are "Yes", "Yes" and "No", in that order.
Bakemon will go to the city. If you already have not recruited Unimon, Patamon
or Biyomon, Bakemon will float around the huge circle in the middle of File
City. If you have recruited Unimon, Patamon and/or Biyomon, the circle will be a
fountain.
Devimon:
First, get an Angemon. Go out and fight a powerful Digimon capable of defeating
you. Let it defeat you and when you get back to Jijimon's House and he finishes
talking, your Angemon should Digivolve to Devimon. Also, make sure Angemon's
discipline level is below 50% or it may not work. Devimon can Digivolve to the
powerful MegaDramon as well.
SkullGreymon:
To have SkullGreymon join the Arena, first get Shellmon Greymon in the city and
meet Myotismon. Read Shellmon's board and to learn a rumor that Myotismon
retired. Go to Grey Lord's Mansion and check the dining room. Myotismon will not
be there. Check where you first met him and he also will not be at that
location. Try to exit the mansion and Devimon will stop you. (Note: A glitch
sometimes happens when Devimon says "Say hi to Myotismon for me.") Once Devimon
leaves, the force from the door will be lifted. Go in the door and go on the
elevator. Find Tekkamon (the Giromon without horns that has a sword) and fight
him. When Tekkamon disappears, go into the area he blocked. Move right and you
will find Myotismon in a caged area. On the next screen, you will find
SkullGreymon; Myotismon's project. He will ask you if you are (player's name)
and (Digimon partner's nickname), but you are not listening -- you are thinking
about Myotismon. SkullGreymon will get mad and fight you. He has 4200 in HP, so
be careful. Defeat him and he will get into a ball, say "I'll attack you!", and
vanish. Go to Myotismon, and he will thank you. He will now tell you how to get
SkullGreymon, and that he is at the Arena even though the message did not
appear.
                        -= XI. Mojyamon and Money Trick =-
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
===============================================================================
Mojyamon inhabit the ice flows of Freezeland. They are three traders by nature
and will often give you expensive items for fairly cheap ones.  There are three
Mojyamons in Freezeland, each asking for different items.
Here is what each one Wants and what it gives you:
______________________________
|  Mojyamon 1 (Southwestern) |
|---------------------------------------|
| He Wants        |   He gives you:     |
|---------------------------------------|
| Omnipotent      | Super Offense Disk  |
| Medium Recovery | Super Defense Disk  |
| Digital Anchovy | Super Speed Disk    |
-----------------------------------------
__________________________
|  Mojyamon 2 (Southern) |
|---------------------------------------|
| He Wants        |   He gives you:     |
|---------------------------------------|
| Giant Meat      | Auto Pilot          |
| Black Trout     | Restore             |
| Super Carrot    | Omnipotent          |
| Happy Mushroom  | Hair Grower         |
-----------------------------------------
NOTE*** Trade with the second Mojyamon last, since he is the worst one for
trading. Mojyamon one is needed for the money trick, and Mojyamon 3 trades you
Hair Growers for Happy Mushrooms!
At this part of the FAQ I will put the Money Trick into 10 easy steps!
                        -= XII. All About Geko Village =-
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
===============================================================================
*START NOTE* This Chapter will go from Otamamon until the Card Price List and Merit
Points! This section might be considered useless to some people. But know I receive
lots of e-mails regarding this! *END NOTE*
  Finding ShogunGekomon
*************************
When you are in Gear Savanna, at the screen with the Toilet go up. You should now be
at a screen with some SandYanmamons (Geko Swamp). Get past that screen and head to
the next one. Now you should be in a screen with some SandYanmamons (Again!). If they
are there, leave and enter the screen again. Keep entering and exiting the screen
until you see an Otamamon (If you like Pokemon better, then just look for a Poliwag-
Looking Digimon!). If he is there, talk to him. He should call you many rude names.
It will ask you if you want to get revenge or just let him talk. Ask for revenge.
Battle. Win. Now a group of Gekomons should come capture you. They will take you to
ShogunGekomon. Now every time you go to that screen any time again, to the left there
will be a little passage where there was supposed to be Tall-Grass. That's the
passage for ShogunGekomon!
  Card List Prices
********************
When you meet ShogunGekomon he will be useless. To get him to open his mouth about
Cards and merit Points, talk to the Gekomon on the North-West (Top-right). Then if
you talk to ShogunGekomon he will tell you he is collecting Digimon Cards. If you
have Digimon Cards, you can trade them for Merit Points. Merit Points can buy you
expensive/rare Items for very little Merit points. Below is a list of the cards
avaible in the game. For this Chapter the only important thing is the "Point Value";
which is what card trades for how many Merit points:
(You have no idea how long it took me to make this chart, so please use it!)
|Card  |    Digimon             |   Point Value      |   Money Value (BITS) |
                        -= XIII. The Secrets of Training =-
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
===============================================================================
Training is fundamental in Digimon World; only by training you can beat this game.
Below you will see what every item trains. What the name of the stat gives your
Digimon. You will also see different Gyms.
=============================================================================
When you are training, right after your Digimon begins, press Triangle. It will seem
you have trained less, but it trains the same amount, by pressing triangle it will
just be quicker!
Striking - Trains Offense
Description: Offense raises your Digimon's Strike Power;
Example: Having high Offense means a greater deal of Damage. For example, if you're
using Spit Fire, with 100 Offense, it can take about 65-150 Damage depending on the
Digimon you're fighting; again, Having 999 Offense and using Spit Fire may cause
300-500 Damage depending on the Digimon you're fighting.
Punching Glove - Trains Defense
Description: Defense raises just what it says;
Example: If you have high Defense you take less Damage, and also you may Block more
often. For example, if you have 60 Defense, you may take 300-9999 Damage depending
on the Digimon you're fighting; again, Having 999 Defense, you may take 1-1500
Damage, depending on the Digimon you're fighting!
Boulder Moving - Raises HP
Description: HP means your Hit Points;
Example: For example, you have 5000 HP, and you fight Digitamamon. If Digitamamon
does 4500 Damage to you, you will not have 5000 HP anymore, you will have 500.
When your HP reaches 0 your Digimon will die. After he dies, you have 5 Seconds to
use a Restore or Super Restore on him. If the 5 seconds pass and you don't use
them, you will go back to Jijimon's House. If you die in a Battle you may lose
Items, and you will also lose a heart.
NOTE***Losing all 3 hearts, results in your Digimon dying, and then you will chose
an egg. But if you die because of hearts, your Digimon will lose Powerful
Techniques...
Waterfall - Raises MP
Description: MP means your Mana Points;
Example: For example; If you have 1000 MP, and you use Green Trap, which costs 147
MP, your MP will decrease by 147.
Every technique uses a certain amount of MP, depending on its Power. If your MP is
reduced to 0 on a Battle, your only hope is to use your Finishing Technique; which
doesn't use MP. Or you can run from the battle if it's not a Boss Battle
Running - Trains Speed
Description: Speed raises just what it says;
Example: Speed allows you to use your techniques faster in battle;
For example, a Leomon with Sonic Jab and 100 Speed would use Sonic Jab every 2-10
seconds. While a Leomon with Sonic Jab and 999 Speed could use Sonic Jab every
second!
NOTE*** If you have 999 Offense and 999 Speed, you can beat almost any boss by
using a Quick technique, and not getting hit once!!!
"Player's" Classroom - Trains Brains
Description: Brains is very important, by training brains at every 50 Brains you
have a 5% chance of learning a technique. Brains also influences in learning
techniques from enemy Digimon. For example; If you have 100 Brains with a Agumon,
and you go try to learn Magma Bomb from Goburimons, it may take 1-100 battles.
While having 999 brains, you may learn it easily at the first or second battle!
=============================================================================
                        -= XVI. Tips =-
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
===============================================================================
This Chapter will give you various tips on getting Ultimate Digimon.
Well, first of all remember: Digivolution works in mysterious ways.
Tip1: Plan your Digivolution. That way you can start training for your Ultimate very
early.
EXAMPLE; if you're trying to get a MetalGreymon, do it like:
Botamon~Koromon~Agumon~Greymon~MetalGreymon
Tip2: Do not make any care mistakes. Even if the Digimon you're trying to get needs
less then 15, don't abuse. The less care mistakes you make, the easier you will
Digivolve.
Tip3: Always have Portable Potty's, Meats, Giant Meats and Sirloins while training.
That will save you A LOT of time while training. When you have a Baby-Rookie feed him
Meats. When you have a Champion feed him Giant Meats and/or Sirloins. And to you
Ultimate feed Meats, since they are very cheap.
Tip4: Keep your weight as close as possible to the one Needed! This way you don't
have to feed him a lot when he is about to Digivolve.
Tip5: Try to have a very high Discipline and Happiness Gauge. This helps a lot too.
Unless you are trying to get Hercules-Kabuterimon!
Tip6: The Bonus Conditions CAN help you Digivolve to Ultimate.
Tip7: If you feel lucky / have a good sight and memory, try doing Bonus Tries!
Tip8: If you're trying to get a Vademon, just feed your rookie a Digivolving Item as
soon as he is a Rookie. That way you can have a Champion live 360 Hours much easier.
Tip9: If you've been training for a long time consecutive, rest your Digimon. Even if
he isn't tired, it's better to rest anyways.
                            -= XVIII. Items Bosses Drop =-
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
==============================================================================
Ok, this Chapter is really annoying and hard to make. So this is going to
take a while to be finished.
This Chapter will show you what type of Chip every boss drops! Again, this
may be useless to some people, but I get asked a lot to make this!
I'm making one Chart for each Digimon (Rookie, Champion and Ultimate).
I'm also putting the names in alphabetical order, which is a lot of work to
make along with the rest of the guide. But hey, it's all good. I know it's to
help people ;)
On version 6.0 (about there) I will change this Chapter for ALL the Digimon
in the game; not only recruit-able Digimon :)
People, please, please, please help me with this part of the FAQ! I really
can't play this game anymore.
All of my FAQs until now were done by heart and mind!
                        -= XXII. Learning Techniques =-
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
==============================================================================
*** My cousin did most of it, but I helped on the "Where to find" and "Best Ways"
  The Ways of Learning
************************
1) When training brains, when you reach the 50's (50,150,250, etc...) or the 100's
(600,700,800, etc...) you _might_ learn a technique
2) When fighting an enemy Digimon, if he uses the technique(s) you can learn, you
might learn it after battle.*
3) Some Digimon teach you techniques for stats, or just meeting them. To be exact:
Seadramon and Kabuterimon
Speed:  Goes from 1 to 4, the higher he number the more time it takes to hit the
enemy, and the more the chances of the enemy interrupting.
Level: This chart shows the possibility of learning techs depending on the level.
Like, if a Tech lv.3 hits your digimon or is used in a battle, and you have 100 Br
You have 5% of learning it.
Br = Brains
And how much level the tech you want has
1
1,5
2,5
3
3,5
4,5
5
Because the tech might have 1,8 so it would vary
                     -= XXIII. Easy-to-Learn Techniques =-
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
==============================================================================
Okay this section is about the techniques you can learn on very easy fights, or
by not fighting at all!
1) All Ice/Water techniques can be learned like this:
After you fish Seadramon, do not ask to be friends! Go and choose "I want to
learn a technique! By asking that, Seadramon teaches you a Water/Ice technique
you don't have yet! So fish him once and ask for that, then keep fishing and
asking the same option! All you need is patience!
2) Most Filth Techniques:
When in Factorial Town, before you go fight Numemon, make sure to evolve to a
Filth Digimon. After getting a Filth Digimon go fight Numemon, you don't even
need to train since Numemon's stats are incredibly weak! He has 200-400HP!!! And
he has very low offense, but he has almost all Filth Techniques so you _must_
learn at least one Filth Tech after fighting him ;)
3) Bug:
In Beetle Land, have your Digimon's Speed and Defense above 500. Then go talk to
the top-right Kabuterimon; doing that you learn Bug (One of the best techs in my
opinion!!!)
NOTE*** He will only say "You lack Speed/Defense if you don't have above 500 of
both. If you don't you can't learn it until you do!
4) DG Dimension* (not really easy though....)
Before you go through Mt.Infinity make sure to take a Digimon that can learn DG
Dimension and that has 500+ Brains, the more brains the more chances on learning
it. One round through Mt.Infinity and you should learn it!
*NOTE* MegaDramon and MetalGreymon use it a lot!!!!
==============================================================================
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                            -= XXIV. Glitches =-
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
==============================================================================
Okay this chapter is mostly about errors in the game, good glitches _and_ bad
glitches!!! I also decided to post the Remedies for each glitch!
1) Happy Mushroom Glitch:
Glitch - There is a glitch from File City to Native Forest. I call it Happy
Mushroom Glitch. To make it work, get the Happy Mushroom and then 'Drop' it. Go
back on that screen it should be there again. Then if you get it again and keep
entering and exiting the screen you can get up to 99 Happy Mushrooms!!! This is
a good glitch! LOL
Remedy - Leave Native Forest
2) Extra Mon For Free:
Glitch - When you continue you're saved game, you notice that your Digimon has a
couple extra Mon's.  For example, a Patamon may be read as Patamonnmon on the
game load screen.  This glitch is harmless and is kind of funny, but unfixable.
It doesn't harm your Digimon's name on his status screen at all.
Remedy - None
3) Item Bank Glitch:
Glitch - When you go to Agumon's Item Bank, switching from stored items to in-
hand items makes it so that some items get "rubbed out" on the screen.  You may
only be able to see half of the name of an item, or nothing at all.
Remedy - Scrolling down and then up again on the item menu.
4) Card Glitch:
Glitch - WARNING!  Before you try this glitch, make sure you save.  This glitch
is harmful, and may freeze your game, so be prepared!  To see this glitch, you
need to have at least one Digimon card.  Go to the card screen and select a card
to bring up its enlarged picture. Now, quickly hit triangle, X, and triangle,
and the card should be there.  Keep hitting the triangle button, and the card
will be frozen on the screen!  You can still play and walk around with the
card's picture on the screen. You can bring up the Digivolution charts in the
menu, and that it will show you some completed charts.  I've tried this but
haven't been able to see complete Digivolution charts, just random ones that
don't make sense. Also, the Digivolution charts may freeze your game.
Remedy - None (Unfortunately!)
5) Mojyamon Trap
Glitch - When trading with the Mojyamon's, if you trade consecutively he will
start going up on you. By the time you trade 99 Items, if you don't move every
once in a while you will be trapped!
Remedy - Auto Pilot
6) Grey Lords Mansion
Glitch - You can find a harmful glitch in Grey Lord's Mansion, after defeating
SkullGreymon.  When you defeat Skull Greymon and Myotismon returns to his place
in the dining hall, you will be able to access this glitch.  If you return to
the caged area where Myotismon and Bakemon were being held, then enter the area,
your game will freeze.
Remedy - None
7) Drimogeomon's Treasure Finding
Glitch - If you are going to get an Item back from Drimogeomon, make sure your
inventory is not full! If it is, it will say: "Clear your inventory!"
And you will lose the Item.
Remedy - None
8) Greymon's Arena
Glitch - When you are signing up for a Tournament, you might see this glitch.
It's kind of hard to explain so here is an Example:
| 21 | 22 | 23 | 24 | 25 |
| S  | B  | D  | A  | D  |
| G  | A  | C  | S  |    |
| F  | W* |    | ** |    |
|    | N* |    | ** |    |
|    |    |    |    |    |
When you press START, you should be able to see a Description of the Cup. The
glitch works like this: If you press START on the letters with the * it will
make an error noise. Then again, if you press START where you see the ** the
description of a Cup will be there!
Remedy - None
9) Digimon Curling
Glitch - When you are playing curling with Penguinmon or MetalMamemon, when you
throw your "disk" it might freeze the game for about 2 or 3 seconds. After that
instead of the "disk" going to the right place, it will go to a totally
different location! This glitch might help or destroy your perfect score!!!
Remedy - None
                            -= XV. GameShark Codes =-
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
==============================================================================
On this Chapter I will list all the GameShark Codes I have for this game. I have
a GameShark version 3.2 and all these codes work!
I personally don't use GameShark....But I know many people are looking for codes! So
I decided posting Gameshark Codes for all types of Items....If you're looking for
stat raising codes, go look on www.gameshark.com and not here. This Chapter is for
ONLY Item Codes!
Since I was already going to "fix" my GameShark Chapter, I decided to post more
codes!!!
Thanks Legend789 for a lot of codes ;)
 **NOTE:
If you use the code for the 10th item but there is no item in your 10th
inventory slot, the quantity will be marked by 0 but you still can use it.
There is a bad thing in that way, you can't store it in Agumon's bank.
**NOTE:
Change the ** with the item codes
Example: I you want to get Metal Banana to be your at the 1st item slot,
change the 3013D474 00** to be 3013D474 007F. Because, 7F is the code for
Metal Banana.
**NOTE:
These codes were gathered from www.cmgsccc.com (Gameshark Cheat Code Central), from
the time when they worked with Gameshark Codes. If you go to the site now, you will
ONLY find Code Breaker Codes... Now it's "Home Of The Codebreaker". If you want all
Gameshark Codes go to www.gameshark.com  ...
Descriptions:
- Rejuvenate lowers your age back down to 0 and raises your lives back to 3.
- Reborn has the same effect as Rejuvenate, but it digivolves you back to fresh.
- Fade-Away has the same effect as Reborn, but also brings your starts down to
100 HP/MP and 10 everything else, which is about fresh stats.
When Do I Use these?
- Rejuvenate: You might want to lower your Champions age back down to 0 and
lives back to 3, if you lost a lot of lives and want to go back to 3, if you
lost lives and if you need a little extra time to get to ultimate.
- Reborn: You might want this code, if you have a maxed out or really strong
Ultimate and want to keep his stats, when you "fade-away", resulting in a Super
Fresh.
- Fade-Away: You might not like your digimon and decide to change him back to
Fresh. :(
How do I Use these?
- Rejuvenate: You wait till your Champions about to fade-away (an hour to a day
is a good idea). Then use this code, and continue training.
- Reborn: You wait till your Ultimate's about to fade-away (two hours to a day
is a good idea). Then use this code. Go to Jijimon's House and press "o" when
you load, save your game quickly, and reset.
- Fade away: Same as reborn, except use it as soon as you stop liking that
digimon. :(
Replace 801557A8 00?? with 80134E50 00?? if you don't have the fresh you wish to
get on the chart, yet. However you will have to wait 1 Digi-Hour after pressing
"o" for it to work. (So resting or training once, or going to a tournament is
suggested.)
been there once, you can go there anytime through Birdra Transport for 3000
BITS...
Q: Ok, now I got to Beetle Land...How do I participate in the 'Beetle
Tournament'?
A: You need a Bug Type Digimon (Kunemon, Kabuterimon, Kuwagamon or
Hercules-Kabuterimon)
And you also need to go there on the 22nd (Twenty-Second) of any year. Or there
will be no tournament.
Q: I used a White Fang on my Baby / In-Training and he didn't evolve to
Tyrannamon!!! Why?!?!
A: If you use a Digivolution Item for a Champion on a Baby or In-Training, it
won't work. You have to use it on a Rookie Digimon. Champion items work ONLY on
Rookies....
Q: I used Metal Parts on my Baby / In-Training / Rookie and he didn't evolve to
MetalGreymon!!! Why?!?!
A: If you use a Digivolution Item for an Ultimate on a Baby, In-Training or
Rookie it won't work. You have to use it on a Champion Digimon. Ultimate items
work ONLY on Champions....
Q: I used a Moon Mirror on my Champion Digimon, and he didn't evolve to
WereGarurumon, wazup wif dat?
A: For ME, the Moon Mirror ONLY works on Garurumon, but still, you can only see
his feet, and you can't feed him, or battle, or train him that your game will
freeze!
Q: Why won't you make a Walkthrough for this game since you seem to have time to
spare?
A: I am already working on it... I stopped working on it because I'm waiting for a
response from Legenddramon; I think we are going to make a Walkthrough
together...
Q: Where can I obtain Giga Hand, Electo Ring, Moon Mirror or Noble Mane?
A: Only through a GameShark!
Q: Ok, now I've caught Seadramon, what do I ask for!?!? Help!!!!
A: If you have caught him, brought him to the shore, he will give you three
options. They are:
1. "Let's be friends!" - You will get a blue flute and can go to Beetle Land
anytime.
2. "Teach me a Technique." - He will teach you an Ice/Water technique you don't
have yet.
3. "I want an Item" - He will give you his Digivolution item (Water Bottle)
NOTE*** you can fish him as many times as needed until you choose to be friends!
Q: What is the exact location of MetalMamemon??? Please help, I've heard of many
locations and I don't know which one to trust!
A: First of all, go there with Whamon's Transport. The first screen after the
two Guardromons. He will be in the bottom-right; where there used to be a
Guardromon.
Q: Are there any normal Digimon that drop a lot of BITS?
A: Yes... I don't call it money trick though. First get a Filth Digimon like Nanimon,
Numemon or Sukamon. Then go to Factorial Town and keep fighting Platinum Sukamon for
3,000 BITS a Battle. And since you have a Filth Digimon, you should quickly learn
Filth Techniques!
Q: Where is the secret passage in Speedy Time Zone?
A: Go to the screen where you see a 'bone tunnel' and get yourself to the left side
of the screen. Keep going up but holding left until you find it.
Q: When do I see the double-leafed plant in Tropical Jungle???
A: When Yuramon mentions it.
Q: What is the double-leafed plant in Tropical Jungle?
A: Vegiemon.
Q: It doesn't look like Vegiemon... Are you sure it is a Vegiemon?
A: Yes, use a Rain Plant to make it become Vegiemon
Q: How do I get a Rain Plant?
A: The 15th of every year, if you go see Tanemon sleeping, the plant will be on the
box by his side.
Q: Where is the "Invisible Bridge"?
A: The last screen of Tropical Jungle, there should be a place that looks like you're
in a Canyon. Go to the top-right area there, and try to walk out of the borders.
Q: How do I use chips?
A: Feed it to your Digimon.
----------------------FAQ Related Questions-------------------------------------
================================================================================
Q: The information in your guide looks really familiar. Where have I seen it before?
A: A certain FAQ writer who was new to the FAQ scene asked for permission to use"
information from this guide for their own FAQ/Walkthrough. I consented, assuming
they'd take small parts of this document and put it in their own words, as is common
courtesy among FAQ writers. In their next update I found that they'd copied and
pasted my entire FAQ verbatim. I emailed the author about this, politely explaining
why it was wrong that they did that, and asked them to rewrite it. (If my FAQ and
someone else's FAQ contain the exact same information, what's the point of them
existing in separate text files?)
Anyway, they changed a word here and there, after much griping and several
Insult-ridden emails sent my way, but for the most part, the content of their
FAQ is still part and parcel _my work_, and they've ignored all emails from me asking
that they remove their section on Digimon Recruiting, since they seem to be incapable
of rewriting it. The same goes for their Digivolving FAQ section, and a other bits
and pieces that look suspiciously exactly like things I've written. If you don't know
who I'm talking about, all the better, but if you do, kindly email them and tell them
that you don't appreciate their plagiarism
 - Maybe you'll have better luck reaching them than I did.
Q: I don't like your strategy, nyah nyah. Why don't you write a different one?
A: Gee, I forgot that writing a _free_ guide required me to bend to your every whim.
If the strategies I've given don't work for you, you're not of a high enough level -
and how are your lousy stats a mistake on my part?
Short of coming to your house and playing the game for you, I don't know how I could
possibly be more specific.
Q: When will you up-date this FAQ?
A: As soon as I get information from you guys. If I find some misspelled words, I'll
up-date it by 0.1... If I gather a lot of information from you all I'll up-date it by
1.0... Anything you send in to me, I will give you credit and share your e-mail with
others. If you don't want me to share it, that's ok I'll just post your name. If you
don't like your name to be shared, that's ok, I'll just say the information was
gathered from -Unknown-
Q: When will you be making a guide for (insert your favorite game here)?
A: I get asked that all the time... But let me tell you, I have school, a part-time
job, and I am very busy making a Walk-Through for this game! Whenever I play the game
you're looking for, I will first see if it's worth the time of making a FAQ / Mini-
FAQ. Then if it is; I will e-mail you confirming that I have made it and sent it
in.........
