Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Question from quackmac3000
Asked on: 10/4 8:41PMHow do I use the gravity boots, thus performing a super jump? Iv tried all sorts of button combos and looking in guides and books, but nothing says how to. i have the psp version, that i unlocked from Dracula X Chronicles, so it only has r1 and l1, if that makes a difference.
Down, Up, X

statusIn the PSX version, its down, up jump. hopefully its the same for you psp version.
Down, Up, X. I've had problems with it not registering several times, the best way I found was to actually hit Down, then Up, then Jump, and not Down, then Up and Jump at about the same time.
As for your problem with L2 and R2, they should be set to the Analog Nub (Left and Right, respectively), with both of them set to Up.
I just downloaded it from the ps network on to my psp
it's just down,up + jump
down + up + X
don't to DOWN + UP and X together
do DOWN then UP then X smoothly
As everyone else has said, press the sequence of down, up, jump.
An interesting note is that you can super jump at angles by pressing up and left or right while you press jump, which is really quite useful once able to perform it reliably (it's tricky).
The other thing to note is that you can super jump off of the ground, and after you double-jump--but if you're in the air and haven't spent your second jump yet, you will not be able to super-jump. Hence to go up some tall passage (particularly that shaft in the caves) you would have to super-jump, then double-jump, then super-jump for as long as your magic holds out. I think it uses one MP, but I'm really not sure.
I think it consumes 5 MP... maybe 3?...
not so sure.. :)
It uses 2 mp
Down then up+jump button
and you need 2 mp to use it
