statusI think I read one thing in the FAQs section something about this:
All moves ending in [down] command have higher chance of acquiring Serus (the black rain was highlighted in the said FAQ)
One more thing:

Avoid overkill
Any attack that end's with your Re-Seru will have a better chance, try to kill them as close to their max hp as you can, if your over by more than 25-30 maybe even 50 points you wont get it. If you take your time and play with them you'll have a better chance to kill them without a overkill and there-four you will have a better chance to absorb them.
