Legend of Legaia
Question from Electro7
Asked on: 1/23 11:36AMEveryone level is 35, i have all of the Ra-Seru and arts and my point card have 65.000 points. With these status i can defeat Cort but not Lapis. Someone help me.
You know, dude? You are correct at eyeing with your 'Point Card' to be useful against Lapis, something most people are not paying attention of. It's been a few years already since I last played and finished this game. And BELIEVE ME, ONCE YOU ENTER THE FIGHT, LAPIS WOULD IMMEDIATELY USE LAPIS WAVE. IT'S 1 OF A MILLION CHANCE FOR THE SPEED CHAIN TO INITIATE AND GIVE YOU A CHANCE FOR FIRST STRIKE AND CAST JEDO. AND ALSO, TAKE NOTE THAT ONCE LAPIS WAVE HAS BEEN CASTED OUT, MP-HEALING ITEMS WILL NOT RESTORE IT. Well, at least that's what I can remember unless people out there are using game shark codes to negate that effect.
So basically, Lapis has around 55 to 65,000 HP. So make sure your point card has as much value. At least at every round, there should be one that will use point card and the rest should the the spirit-then-miracle_arts-next_round strategy. I dunno much about the accessories that needs to be equip aside from the one that raises the strength of arts, raises defense and I think the one that does counterattacks and on top of that....YOU'LL NEED LOTS OF LOST GRAILS. Reviving them fallen after fallen characters and use 'Soru Breads' on them may be advised but not most effective.
Try my way, if you still die...continue again and again and it'll work. Try fighting this boss at least lvl 40 and up.

statusIt would be easier for you if you have three healing grails which you can get from sol tower.
And im pretty sure that you also have every ra-seru equips so it wouldnt be so hard to knock him/her off..
Be sure to stock up on healing items and phoenixes as you're going to use them a lot. At a low level, the battle with Lapis is a battle of attrition, with a bit of luck.
My first Recommendation would be to level up some more. He's not a pushover, and it would help if you could take his hits easier. Otherwise, Healing grails help, but i'd really recommend high defense and a lot of luck. Magic won't help at all so its just about being able to take his damage while doing enough to finish him.
The "Simple" way of winning is to level up enough to overpower him, but that's impractical for most. Just level up a bit, buy a lot of healing berries and flowers and hope for the best. Lost grails help too, giving a fallen character another crack at him.
Light talisman will decrease its damage since he uses light attacks. For level i think it is ok as long as you can input a miracle arts and have some healing berries which can be bought easily in sol tower via sol bread technique. Just plan your strategies and know the order of attack of all you character.
Equip Defender Chains on all 3 and be at at least level 55.
1. Go fishing, and get a Spikefish Flute
2. Make sure you have somebody equipped with the Speed Chain, and somebody else with the Dark Talisman (Jedo summon).
3. Start the fight. Lapis will cut all your MP to 0/0. With the person who has the Speed Chain, use your spikefish flute.
4. Get back into the fight. Lapis will only attack, instead of cutting your max MP, because you already have 0 MP.
5. With the person who has the Speed Chain, use a Magic Fruit (or whichever restores 200 MP) on the person equipped with Jedo.
6. Use Jedo; Lapis will die.
So, round by round:
(Enter battle) Round 1: Lapis' Surprise round. He'll cut your MP.
Round 2: Escape.
(Enter battle) Round 1: Lapis' surprise round. He'll attack one character.
Round 2: Speed-Chainer uses Magic Fruit on Jedo-user, who uses spirit; last person should use a Phoenix on Jedo-user if Lapis attacked him during the surprise round. Lapis attacks one character; if he attacked the Jedo-user twice in a row, your third character will revive them.
Round 3: Speed-Chainer uses max-heath item on Jedo-user, who uses Jedo, killing Lapis.
This might not work every time; you need the two important characters to be able to survive at least one combo from Lapis, and if he attacks one of them twice, you'll just have to load your save and start over.
35 is fine. Another way is to buy LOTS of phoenixes since Lapis can only attack one of your characters at a time. A major flaw in this boss =D Get a Speed Chain on someone. If a character dies, have him revive him the next round while the other attack. If the guy with the Speed Chain dies, have both characters use Phoenixes on him. This might take a long time but Lapis SHOULD go down eventually after spamming like 20+ Phoenixes. (I was Level 40 though but lower should be fine since my characters die in one hit anyway)
I defeated him when I was around 40's and my lowest level was 38 or something.
The main thing I noticed about this boss is: He is a split attacker.
If on the 1st turn, he attacks Vahn, be confident that he is to attack Noa/Gala, then Gala/Noa, then Vahn again then Noa/Gala then Gala/Noa.
So the strategy is study his moves and learn how to predict his next move. Use spirit on who you think will be the next to be attacked and the rest to attack Lapis.
Sometimes he'll attack same character 2 or 3 times in a row. This is where phoenix will be used. Make two characters use phoenix on that character to revitalize him surely or predict his next move and make the "safe" character use Phoenix on the dead one..
This is exactly how I defeated Lapis on my first time on him.
However, Jedo trick is the best way to demolish this crook...
Make sure you have spikefish flute and the team has speed chains and one of them has jedo magic in it . after that proceed first battle surely lapis makes your mp to 0 and can't being healed... use spikefish flute and battle ends.... heal all your team's mp and proceed the battle again then use jedo..... it's very simple...
I dunno 'bout that. I haven't tried the spike fish flute and escape strategy and re-enter the battle for a chance to use a magic attack before Lapis use 'Lapis Wave'. Let's see, I'll try to play it again some other time and come back here if your claim is true. :-)
Get 3 Lost Grails, Speed Elixirs, Wonder Elixirs, Chicken King and of course Dark Talisman
Spike Flute is optional if you have Chicken King (or even not needed)
Have Noa (lv 37) use Speed Ring, Zedo, Lost Grail
Have Gala (lv 37) use Lost Grail, Chicken King (obtained from battle arena in Sol)
Have Vahn (lv 37) use Lost Grail, Slowness Chain
*Note: You can use Golden Book and Crimson Book to get extra gold and exp
Battle sequence as follows:
Do not use the Lost Grails now!
1st Battle: Lapis Move - Wave =>Run (Should be successful)
Do not Heal your MP! (or else Lapis will do like the 1st battle and you waste the MP healing item)
After battle ends, equip the Lost Grails, Save first before the 2nd battle (in case something unpredictable happens)
2nd Battle:
1st Turn: Lapis Move - Killing 1 person
2nd Turn: Have Noa use Speed Elixir, Gala use Wonder Elixir, Vahn use Magic Fruit (or any slowness chain character)
3rd Turn: Have Noa cast Zedo (Noa should be the first one making the move now) - Lapis Died
Good Luck in killing it!
Eqiup the character with the lowerst attack speed chain (GALA). use him to jus only revive the charater that are down, if he is down the other two charater both use phoenix on him because lapis could attack any of the two. Have one charater eqiuped with the counter skill (VAHN), if successful lapis will atack the one that has counter and the counter will ativate, resulting in none death and all charater can attack. Even though this could prove effective it is not if you do not have enough phoenix down. It then could if you have high atacks. I beated him at lvl 34, just after the fight with zora. make sure all or aany of the character attack goes above 4000 (NOA), if not the battle may drag. Do not care too much about focusing you attack focus on reviving, but eaiup attk boost to charater.
NOA

VAHN

GALA
