statusEverything is saved. You don't lose anything. You just continue from the last savepoint.
Vyse_skies thats not true every item you get after the save you lose.
Well it worked fine for me. I've completed the title three times last year and have had no such problem.
They aren't gonna make you upgrade your weapos again if you die and continue, that would be a stupid thing to put in a game.
Your weapons go back to the way they were during the last save. Your items go back to what they were, meaning you lose all new items. But this works to an advantage if you saved it with a Stone of Power, Luck, Defense, etc., then used it before you died. Because you get that stone back, but you retain it's effects from where you used it.
You retain your level and stats that you had when you die. In fact, you can use this trick to help you dramatically.
I know you didn't ask for it, but oh well, here goes.
Go through the game as you normally would. When you are asked to buy flour at Ryube, go the the Ryube inn and save it. NEVER NEVER NEVER save it again until you have SUCCESSFULLY completed this trick. After saving it at the inn, go through the game as normal, but try not to get past level 10. When you get the Fire Wall scroll on the Mountain Path to Kyaro, DON'T use it. Also, take the Sacrificial Jizo off Bolgan. Don't equip it yet, but put it in the bag. Then go through the game as normal, let Rowd beat you, run from several random battles. Then when Pilika sends you to Muse for the Wooden Amulet, don't go. Just go up and to the Matilda Gate glitch and go past there. Be careful, as if you are to get into a battle here, you're as good as dead. If you die, don't continue, just give up, and reload the data. If you make it to Highway Village unscathed, do what is neccessary to get Humphrey and Futch in the party. Futch is not too important, but Humphrey is vital to doing this trick. Put Humphrey in front of your main character. Equip your main character with the Fire Wall scroll you saved. When you get to the mountain area where you're supposed to save Kent, equip the Sacrificial Jizo on your main character. Then walk around until you get into a battle with six of those black sickle things. Run from every other battle, or this won't work. When you do encounter six (and yes, it has to be six, three won't work) of the black sickles, allow them to kill everyone except Humphrey and your main character. After only you and Humphrey remain, have Humphrey kill the all but one of the creatures. Then, if your lucky, Humphrey should need to attack twice to kill one enemy. If this is the case, have him attack the last creature ONCE. If he kills it, your plan is ruined. If not, just let the black sickle attack Humphrey until he dies. Then, the turn after he dies, use that Fire Wall scroll. You're a low level, so the enemy attacks first, killing you. That's what the Sacrificial Jizo is for. It'll bring you back, and then the main character will activate Fire Wall, thus finishing off the last creature, and getting all the credit for winning the battle, because everyone else is dead. Then, after you shoot up to a level in the 70s-ish area, enter another battle with any kind of enemy, and die. When that happens, you are brought back to the Inn in Ryube, retaining the high level you just earned. You won't get to keep the items you collected along the way, but the time meter doesn't retain itself, so save the game after you continue from the inn, and you can go from there with a high level. It's helpful if you wish to beat Rowd with ease, or if you wish to do Clive's sidequest.
