"A fun game to play with others. "Unless someone pulls a claven....""

I love the show, but the game isn’t nearly as fun. If you don’t plan on playing this with other people don’t bother getting it. Enjoy as this game takes you from the first round, Double Jeopardy, and Final Jeopardy.

NOTE: In Jeopardy the question is an answer, but the answer is formed as a question. That’s rather hard to understand but trust me as that’s the way it is in the real game also.

Gameplay – 7/10

It’s an exciting game when played with a friend, boring when played alone. Host of the real-life show Alex Trebek takes you along through the game as he does on the actual T.V show. The controls are very simple. Push the left button to scroll the letter or categories left and pushing right does the opposite (of course). X selects the letter or category and rings in, while triangle enters the question after selecting the letters. O is used for typing in spaces, while square is backspace, L1 zooms in on the category name or a close-up of the answer after ringing in and R1 does the auto-completes the response and to change view when selecting from the wall of categories. R2 and L2 are not used. Entering your name by drawing it with the controller is difficult so you usually end up with something that looks nothing like a name or letter.

There are two different modes to play in, Normal and Speed.

Normal - Normal is exactly like the way it is in the real version and is the only version for two or more players.

Speed - Speed mode is where its you against nobody else. I assume the point of it is to beat your previous best speed game. I found it rather boring and dull, but if you’re in a hurry it’s the best mode….

Graphics/Sound - 9/10

Alex sounds just as he does in really life and so does the announcer Johnny Gilbert. The theme of the show is well done and just as catchy as the real thing so are the pings and buzzes of the normal category selecting and letter picking. Nothing special, but its all well done especially the in-game videos of Alex and voices of everyone.

Replayability - 5/10 (8/10 with a little help from your friends….)

You’ll enjoy playing this one over and over again…if you have someone to play with.
When you’re really bored it can be fun to try to beat your high scores again and again. Fortunately there are a lot of options, such as timer speed and category difficulty, that make the game harder or easier as you please. Unfortunalty after awhile you start seeing repeat questions to many times and it makes the game to simple almost like giving away free points.

Last Words.

When played with others a very fun game, but alone it gets boring quickly. If it does get boring luckily there’s lots of options to play around with.

Play it with your pals and perhaps you’ll get your money’s worth.

……and what the heck is a claven?
