"Only One Car?!"

Although this may seem a bit weird, with only one car and all, this game is actually very good.

Sound: 8
The sound in this game is what makes it very good. The car sounds are genuine and the voices of the different racers really do help. It is really hilarious when helium voices is unlocked!

Graphics: 8
The graphics in this game are also really good. The cars look exactly like the actual Porsche Boxter and the different tracks do look genuine. there are even obstacles in your way and they look pretty good too!

Story: n/a
There is no story. Its a freakin' racing game. You race and you win. Simple!

Gameplay: 7
This is where the game falls behind slightly. There are only four tracks, one car and seven characters. Although there are different elements to the racing, it does feel a bit repetitive at times. Each character is very good at one aspect of driving (grip, acceleration etc.) but the main thing is your character's likability. Some characters respond well to others and not get too harsh with them whereas others want to ram you off the road. That is what makes this game fun. Also, the handling of the car is exceptionally good, possibly like the real thing (I wouldn't know) and you can basically just drive around the tracks and crash into everything but otherwise, it is good with everything else.

Replay Value: 7
There are a lot of things to unlock in this game. There are around ten cheats which will become unlocked with every win of the championship (all four tracks in one go), and this adds a bit of variety to the game.

Overall: 8
Even with the 4 tracks (24 if you count mirrored tracks etc.) it is a very sound racing game. It gets a bit boring at times but when you start the game you really do want to unlock everything (well, I did). This game was excellent when it first arrived but with all of the next-gen games oot, it does seem dated. But nonetheless this is a great game and is good for collectors of the genre.
