"Star Wars fans will eat this up"

If you are a fan of Star Wars, and you know you are, you'll love this game. So who cares if Episode I was a mediocre movie? Jedi Power Battles, or as I'll refer to it, JPB, captures the feel of the Star Wars universe.

Graphics
Meh. Decent at best. They are pretty choppy, but they get their point across. The main reason why I din't like the graphics was the many graphical glitches. There are graphical glitches almost everywhere. The cool thing is, you can use them to your advantage sometimes! But still, the graphics are sorely lacking. Graphics: 5/10

Sound
The sound in this game is excellent. They are directly from the Episode I movie! That enhances the gameplay. The sound effects are good, too. The laser blasts sound like they do in the movies. Same thing goes for the hum of the lightsaber. The sound REALLY helps the game, especially since it lacks in graphics. Sound: 10/10

Controls
The controls in the game are laid-out well, but that's about it. They are REALLY loose. Jumping is a chore. Jumping is very inaccurate and you will get scared jumping over a hole, because most of the time, you'll fall in. The locking on is an innovative idea, but really more trouble than its worth. I just swing wildly until I kill the enemy. Controls: 5/5

Replay Value
The levels are quite large, and you will keep on playing to get the secret characters. So, it has good replay when it comes to one-player modes. The multiplayer modes are VERY fun. That is what will keep you playing six months from now. Replay Value: 8/10

Overall
This game, despite its many flaws, is actually pretty good. Non-Stat Wars fans will enjoy the game, and Star Wars fans will be in heaven. But the graphics and controls can really be a problem, so I suggest you rent or borrow before you buy. Overall: 8/10
