Incredible Crisis

"BUTTON MASHING INSANITY!(possible spoilers but I will try to avoid them)"

I think this game is very fun! It is and has been one of my very favorite games of all time! Maybe it's just nostalgia but I love it!

Story: well it has a real whacked out story but a good one! I will do my best not to spoil the ending but only to give you a taste of how it starts out, but if you want the whole game to be a complete surprise then this review isn't for you.

It starts out where it's the grandma's birthday and you all have to get home in time. you play the story over and over again as the different characters, first the dad, then the mom, the son, and finally the daughter. many strange things take place including a mysterious lady who appears repeatedly throughout the game, a giant Godzilla sized teddy bear, play through the game to find out what is going on to cause all this. The dad's name is Taneo an average middle age man who works in an office building, when just trying to work through the day a giant metal model of the earth crashes into his office building and things escalate from there. weird random things happen that cause you to go from you work, on the street, in a Farris wheel, and it only gets more crazy. The mom is named Etsuko She is a middle aged mother and has to cook dinner for grandma's birthday, so she goes out into the market place where she runs into "wolves" with machine guns and that's where her adventures start. She goes from being held up at the market place to snow boarding down a snowy mountain and it only gets more insane from there. The son is named Tsuyoshi a 9 year old boy (ha I was 9 when I got this game.) who likes bugs and wants to be a rock star. (as you read in the book) He gets shrunken to the size of a bug and goes through many adventures to get home from the back yard. And finally the daughter's name is Ririka and she is 17 years old, instead of trying to tell you her characteristics I will just quote her directly from the book: "I'm like, a big believer in fate and stuff. While one person's world can be like an oyster another's can be like a sack of onions. It's like, you know, quantum physics dictate that that my sneeze today could cause a tsunami in Portugal a year from now. That's why I'm like, a big believer in fate and stuff, see? It's my destiny to know this." And her saga starts out sneaking out of school to go to a sale at a store. Then things only get more weird from there! And the whole story unfolds itself while you are playing the game. Very fun!

Game-play: Well this game has lots of different kind of game play which is what makes it so unique, it has lots of button mashing levels, others where you take it a bit slow to concentrate, but mainly button mashing, so if you love mashing like crazy and getting finger and thumb cramps then this game is for you! But if you get mad easily and just like a relaxing game then is probably not for you!

Graphics: Well they're average PSX graphics nothing special, but I think it suits the game, I don't think that this game would be as fun if it had really good graphics, yet at the same time it has good enough graphics to make the plot and the game understandable. So if you like PSX graphics and just need enough graphics to understand what's going on in the game then this game is great for you! But if you play a game for it's graphics then it's not the best game for you. So actually for the game the graphics suited it perfectly, so for the game I give it a 10, but compared to other games and newer game systems I give it a 6.

music: The music is very fun and funny and it suits the game! so for this game I give it a 10 but if you play a game for huge musicale scores then this game probably isn't for you.

Replay-ability: All the levels are very fun to replay! Whether you beat it and just want to play a certain level from the mini-games section, or if you want to play the game over from the beginning and see all the movies between the levels (personally I like the movies) it is always fun! Plus that it grades you on each level so it is fun trying to go through the game and get your grades up. So I give the replay-ability of this game a 10!

I think it is a very fun and funny story, with graphics and music that suit the game, and very fun exhausting game-play! So overall this game is a definit 10!
