Tales of Destiny

I cannot see how anyone could possibly hate this game. It is simply one of the greatest role playing games I have ever played, and I really enjoyed playing through it! The game does not have many flaws.

Some would argue that the graphics are not up to par with other role playing games featured on the Sony Playstation, but forget that, because I had no problems with the graphics at all.

Graphics (9.8/10)

Oh, so what? They are 2D! So what if the graphics are 2D!! This is simply one of the most fun games I have ever played, and I was perfectly happy with the graphics in the game, as I felt they were completely acceptable. I even liked the rather unique battle graphics, with the character and enemy designs and all.

Music and Sound Effects (9.6/10)

The music in the game is awesome, especially the battle theme, and I really liked the sound effects in the game as well, especially the japanese voice acting during battles. Those were rather funny. The music was top notch, and the sound effects were solid. I am not going to complain much here, because overall the audio part of this game was fan frickin tastic!

Gameplay and Control (9.8/10)

The battle system in the game is awesome, as it reminds me a lot of Star Ocean 2. You cannot control all the characters at the same time, you focus on one while the other characaters do their own thing. I have always preferred this type of battle system so I am glad Namco included it for this game. Gaining gold, gaing experience, moving around the menu, it's all good!

Another thing that I liked anout Tales of Destiny was the Swordians system. This is one of the coolest abilities system ever for a role playing game, and I really enjoyed building up my characters and their swordian (weapon) levels. It is definitely better than the junction system featured in that *cough* certain game *cough*.
