Rising Zan: The Samurai Gunman
Review by DARKSTORM
"One of the weridest, most wacked out games I've seen in a long time...we need more games like this."
Now I'm not really a fan of westerns but I had seen reviews of this game saying that it was ''not for the serious'',not many games like that.I finally bought my own copy of this game and all I can say is this is the most $%@!*@-up game I've ever seen...we need more games like this.
Story 9/10
I never thought I would ever see ninjas and cowboys in the same game. The story goes that there was this sherrif in this small town who thought he was the best. One day he gets information about missing townspeople and goes to investigate and gets attacked by a group of...NINJAS?!? He tries to kill 'em all and insted gets a nasty scar on his face and his pride hurt.He trains in Japan and returns to the same hometown a new person.heisjohnny no more...he...is...ZAN.
Graphics 7/10
Nothing really special here folks.Kinda poor for a game made in 1999 but still get the job done.
Sound/Music 10/10
Background is a little good but its the theme song i will always remember. The people who did this song should make an album or release a soundtrack with this song.Voices are good but the villans cracked me up.They olny talk in giberish which is funny.
Gameplay 10/10
Sorta a cross between an NES classic called gunsmoke and any hack-n'-slash game on the market, which is a good thing.
There is also points in the game where you have to push every button in order to get to the next part unharmed,as well as at the end of every level, the more time you get the more time you have to lay the smackdown on the boss of that level, the higher your score the gorier the kill.
Overall
Its a little too short but the game has so many exter to make it a worthy purchase. Please, can we see a sequel sometime soon.
