RPG Maker
Review by TigerSolo
"It's about time I got to make "THEM!! RPG starring Dontavious the Ghetto Chicken!""
You've always said it. ''I can make a better RPG than this!'' Well, prove it! RPG Maker is awesome, to say the least! You make your own RPG, minus the programming (oh no, not that!).
Graphics: 4
Graphics, simply, look like SNES graphics. If you are used to Playstation RPG's and want to make another Chrono Cross.... I'd say that's tough luck... but in this game, Graphics are nothing in the least. But Loading times are awesome, on the other hand. The colors also can jump out at you, and there are plenty of enemies to choose from, and plenty of characters.
Gameplay: 10
This is the reason you buy the game. The freedom to make your own RPG? A good, standard, RPG fight system? Make items, spells, characters, towns, worlds, etc... where can you go wrong? Plus, the interface is easy to get used to.... even if it is intimidating at first. As for the actual RPG.... it's what you make of it. Do a good job, you have yourself a good game. Or, do a bizzare job (like making a chicken your main character) and you have an awesome time.
Music: 7
The tracks it came with are okay, but it would have been better with more selection. There is nothing that's unforgetable or that you'll hum, but it's not like this is a multimillion dollar game.... it's all in the name of fun.
Controls: 10
It's all menu's, except when you actually play the RPG. It's extremely hard to mess up menu controls.... even though the Anime Maker is really clunky.... you will never use that save once when you want to try it, though.
Overall: 10
The game is what you make it. If this game is lower than a ten, it'd be your fault.... but what they give you is pure gold. Go out and buy it, I assure you, it'll be a long time without sleep when you want to build yourself an epic.
