Parasite Eve II

"This game reminds me of make-up..."

all it does is hide the blemishes. I played the first one, I thought it was okay, never owned it, but rented it a couple times, but then I saw a commercial for the second one, and it got me hooked. I had to go and buy this game straight off the shelves, it just looked so good, especially for a Play Station game, which has the worst graphics in the console systems today. (Hey, it came out almost 6 years ago, it's nothing to be ashamed of.)

Graphics - 10
As I said the graphics are superb, especially compared to alot of the games out there on the market. The game looks great, but sadly that's the best part of the game.

Control - 3
Sometimes the game will just lock up for no good reason, I've seen this happen on several diffrent discs that were just bought, this kinda ruins the game when you're trying to get somewhere and it keeps doing this every five or ten minutes, especially since sometimes it will ruin a memory card.

Sound - 10
The sound is also superb, the game looks a plays like a movie almost, possibly the best looking game of the 2000.

Gameplay - 2
The gameplay is umm.... mediocre at best, in fact I can almost compare this to the horrendous event that was Heroes Of The Lance for NES. The gameplay suffers a cruel death early in the game, you will have no fun at all playing this game, the only fun you will have is in listening to the music, watching the FMV sequences, and getting rid of the disc.

Replay Value - 0
Sure the game probably has plenty of hidden things but with the gameplay as horrible as it is, just who is going to want to play this game for a second time anyway, this just can't compare to the glory days of the old regime of RPGs, where you could be sitting there for months playing the game over and over again.

Buy or Rent - Neither, don't touch this game with a 80 foot pole, I wouldn't play this game again if I was held at gun-point. It isn't worth the disc it was printed on.
