Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX
Review by wolverinefan
"Not as good as Tony Hawk"
Story There is no story. The game doesn't really need a story but one would have been nice. I give story a 0/10
Control
The controls are really bad. Doing tricks is very easy and doesn't take any skill at all. If you hit left or right when moving around there is a very good chance that you will wreck. The control isn't even responsive, you have to hit jump a couple times before you will jump and it takes about 3 seconds for him to finally jump. You can't even move the cameras which leads to very bad views where you can't even see anything. The control needs a lot of work. I give control a 4/10
Voice Acting, Sound Effects and Music
There is no voice acting. You don't even need voice acting since you just have real people doing ther own voices which you hardly hear. Sound effects are average, glass breaking sounds like glass breaking. Somethings don't sound right like when you hit a soda machine it doesns't sound like you're hitting one. The music is beyond bad. There isn't one good song in the whole game. I give voice acting, sound effects and music a 4/10
Game Play
Ride around doing tricks. There isn't very many courses to choose from and the ones you can choose from are really bland and boring. Each stage has five covers to find, they are always find the hidden cover, score a certain amount of points, score an even bigger amount of points, spell trick and break a certain five things. The objectives are easy and the hidden cover isn't hidden very well. There is a nice selection of characters to play as but there isn't really any eason to play as them all unless you want to see their endings. This whole game feels unfinished and seems to need a lot of work. I give game play a 4/10
Replay Value
There is a lot to do if you want to beat it with everyone but the game gets boring fast. The two-player modes are the same ones from Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 and aren't that great. The course maker is fun for about three minutes the just gets boring cause it's very limited. A lot more could have been added to make the replay value higher. I give replay value a 5/10
Final Score
I give Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX a 4/10
