Clock Tower II: The Struggle Within

"What made me buy this game?"

It's been ages since I've seen a very poorly developed game. This is one of the games that is very very hard and yet it very much unenjoyable. It is a horror game indeed, you'll be scared to buy another game that is like one that you'll be checking the Internet for reviews of games you'd like to buy. Here's my criteria where I based my judgement on the game:

Gameplay/Controls (3 pts): This game has a very very little gameplay value in it, if not none. This game just merely lets you control the cursor and click on anything that can be moved or examined. You just simply enter a room, pick some items, open some doors. But there's no excitement in doing that. The interface is also badly done. The arrangement of the menu items is hard to navigate too. You'll get bored and you'll get tired when the time comes. For the controls, on the contrary, is quite easy. just point here and there and your character will do some action related to where you clicked.

Storyline (5 pts): This game has a fair story. You will be confused as the events is not planned well. And some of the events have nothing to do with the real story. But still, it's a horror story.

Graphics and Sounds (6 pts): I admit this game has good graphics. The images are well-rendered and the animation or movement is smooth. For the sound, it didn't impress me though. It's intended to scare and shock people just as in horror movies, but this game makes me say, ''duh!''

Replay Value (1 pts): This game's Replay Value surely goes down the drain. You should not expect to finish the game and still have any more interest in repeating everything. You might even stop the playing the game before finishing it. There are no turning points in the game where you can change your decision and change the course of the story. You'll be bored and you'll get mad when you reach the middle part of the game.

As a conclusion, I suggest that you save your money for better games out there. I never really though someone developed this kind of game. there are other games like this but they are much more better than this game. You'll definitely regret the fact that you bought this game. To describe this game, for the lack of a better word, it's ''worthless''.
