"Close, but no cigar."

I was very happy with You Don't Know Jack, so when I heard that this game was out I wanted to try it. I did, and though at first I really liked it, it got boring over time. Let's look at why.
Gameplay 6-10. Four whole points? I'll tell you why. Unlike the other game, you no longer get the freedom of choosing your category. Each time you play the game, you're thrust into an episode about something. For instance, there's a Cold War episode where all questions have to do with the Cold War, and a few have to do with the Common Cold. Or maybe that's a whole nother episode. I don't remember. Each of the categories is chosen for you by the announcer, and all pertain to the main category of the episode in some way. There are several types of questions. First we have the usual Multiple Choice. Then there's one called the Coinkydink. Here, the announcer reads off seven pairs of things which are linked together in some way. Various possible links flash on the screen. Buzz in when you want to guess. Then there's the When'd it Happen. Here, you'll get main category for a movie or something. Then a main event. Various other events flash on the screen. Your goal is tell whether each event happened before the main even, after it, or if it never happened at all. It doesn't have to be just movie questions though. Some deal with events in history. Then of course the Dis or Dat stays the same. You get seven things and two categories. You tell if each of the seven names falls into one category, the other or both. Then of course there's the Jack Attack.
Control 10-10. It's the same as the prior game, complete with Screws!
Audio 7-10. Cookie and his pals are gone from this game. Instead you have Schmitty as the host and some computer chick doing the rest of the work. She doesn't get impatient like Raul, so she's not as funny. Schmitty can't compare to Cookie either. He just doesn't have the right voice. Being a smartass requires just the right voice, and this guy, unfortunately, doesn't have that voice. He's much too laid back. The sound effects aren't even as funny either, despite the rather dirty nature of some questions.
Overall 7-10. If you really want to play this game, do so. I kept my copy for a while, but I soon grew bored with it.
