"This game isn't as bad as I thought."

WCW vs. the World isn't all that bad of a wrestling game. You have different modes & wrestlers. You can create a belt & do much more.

GAMEPLAY - 7
Gameplay is kind of hard but works. You don't have extremely hard button combos (WCW Nitro & Thunder) to execute a certain move. The hard part is to execute a powerful move, you have to hold in the Grapple button for a certain amount of time (2 or 3 sec.). The Spirit Meter is impressive. I like the Tournament, League Challenge & Best of Seven Fighting Modes.

GRAPHICS - 5
Graphics in this game are kind of bad. The wrestlers are the ones that suffer. The ring & outer ring are done pretty well, but the wrestlers could have used some work. They break up & flash alot. Polygons are used for the wrestlers. The wrestler select screen is okay. The wrestlers are drawn (for some reason). I think they should've have done a Wrestler Select Screen like MAYHEM; Have the names of wrestlers for each faction on a separate list & what they look like to the side as if they were in the game.

SOUND - 5
Sound is kind scarce in the game. There is no music on the Title or Options screen. The only music is Mode/Wrestler Select & while you are fighting. The fighting music could have been worked on a little more. Some music sounds like Country, Zelda type of music & Disco/Funk Mix. Well, the actual sound is okay. The only real good sounds are the bell & the ring announcer or whoever the guy is. The ring slams & punches/kicks/slams are kind of bad.

MISC - 7
Loading times are kind of slow (about 10-15 sec.). However they made the moves for the wrestlers they didn't do that bad of a job. The moves look pretty real. The names for ''non - WCW wrestlers'' are kind of corny. Impressive Tournament & League Challenge Modes. There are hidden wrestlers to open. You can only open the hidden wrestlers through the League Challenge Mode. Make sure you save your progress.

RENT/BUY
Well, the game is out of stock now so you either want to go to a friends house who has it & borrow it, or buy it off the Internet from somebody (like I did). If the game was still in stock, I would say rent, if you like it, buy the game.
