"Wow I should be payed to play, not pay to play"

Jeez, this game sucks! I'm not one to bash alot of games, I give honest opinions but what the hell was Maxis thinking when they made this? I should be given a medal and at least $1000 for playing this game for the six hours I did. First let me say though Sim City 2000 is a great game for your computer, but when it was ported to PSX something got massively screwed up in the mix. (Sim City 2000 will now be called sc2k in my review)

Gameplay: 1
My god, the gameplay sucks! First of, if you do buy this game which 99 out of 10 doctors suggest you shouldn't, you'll notice that there is at least a 3 second lag between when you do something and when it corrosponds to the screen. This is mostly because Maxis tried to put to much crap on 1 CD. You'll also notice how hard it is to do anything with your controller. Well, I played with a mouse, but how many PSX mouses do you actually see? If you really want to though, you can go to Funcoland and get one but why bother with this crappy game? The only thing that saved this from getting a 0 was you can now get in a car and cruise around in the roads you built in this game. There really is no slow up or down or reverse or nothing so it's not that great of a feature. In fact, you've lost some structures in the game, and the menus are harder then hell to navigate in, I couldn't figure out how to get a loan and what have you, and their pathetic instruction manual which looks like it will cover alot seeing they needed a double cd case just to hold it really doesn't help much.

Graphics: 1
Horrible, choppy, messed up and thats just the beggining intro screen. First off, the detail in graphics is JUST A LITTLE better then the computer. You'll hardly notice it though do to the other crap this game has. The fires, the power lines, everything is to distourted for me.

Sound: 0
God help me, the sound was awful. The explosions sounded more like a little boom then BOOM. The music is awful and it will annoy you 3 seconds into the game (just like the CPU version) The thing though is that the computer's sound was more clear, this is choppy and awful.

Control: 0
Their is at least a 3 second delay from when you push a button until it happens on the screen. Not only that, the menus and everything are way to confusing for most, sc2k just doesn't cut it here.

Replayability: NONE
If you do manage to complete a scenario without going insane or ripping out you're a hair then I applaud you. And if you do manage to make a nice city then my god you deserve all the gold in Fort Knox. Other then that why bother playing again?

Buy or Rent?
Buy or Rent? Neither, in fact IF YOU SEE THIS GAME WITHIN 10 FEET OF YOU RUN LIKE HELL AND DON'T TURN BACK! I was stupid enough to dish the $20 out for this, now I'm thinking of sueing Maxis for making this sad excuse of a game and then allowing the public to buy it.

Final Word:
Kids please I know you're going to want to rebel against the all mighty Advocate4 and buy this game don't. Don't do drugs, don't spit into the wind, and for the love of god don't buy this game for all that is holy.

Scores:
Why bother? This game had an average of less then 1 but I had to round it up for gamefaqs. On a scale of 1 to 10 this game could have gotten a -16 if I had the chance.
