Madden NFL 2000

"Best football game for the playstation? could be"

Madden 2000 is without a shadow of a doubt my favorite football game. It has improve greatly compare to Madden '99.
With the 2nd best graphics on the playstation console IMO. It's a fun and challenging game. Fun when you play with your friends and challenging when you play season mode.

Graphic
This game has the 2nd best graphic for the playstation. The character look realistic and move like it to. The players are now shaped by their size and weight. They move like their size too. A 300 pound football will surely get burnt by a 150 pound player.That's pretty realistic in my book.The stadium looks real too. With the crowd in the seats although I never really paid much attention to them anyway.

Sound
The music is great. The game plays different tunes throughout the game. The players make noises when you tackle them(different noises). Along with that is John Madden and Pat Summerall commenting when you play the game.

Gameplay
This game seems to be a bit too difficult. When ever I play season mode I only made it to the playoffs once(by luck) , but the game is sometimes easy. The computer does a ''very'' good job at catching the ball while I have about a 60% chance of catching it.That's about the only thing wrong with the game. Everything else is ok. The controls are very responsive. Whenever you try to juke the computer or jump you never have a problem doing it. Madden also has a bunch of codes and secret. In situation & challenge mode you can complete the given objective and you will get rewarded. I forgot to mention their are alot of modes in Madden. To be specific the modes are, Exhibition, Season, Franchise(did I spell it right), challenge, and situation(did I miss any).

In franchise mode you can trade players, go to a different team, and other different stuff.

In exhibition mode you play a single game with any team you want.

In season mode you play as the team you pick for a whole season and if you do well you can go to the playoffs.

In challenge mode the give you a objective to do while you play a game and you have to complete it. The objectives are like run 100 yard, intercept 5 times, ect.

In situation mode they give you a situation(most of the time you have to score a touchdown in a given time)and you complete it.

Overall
This game is a must-buy if you are a football fan. If you are bore this game will keep you playing for weeks.
