Bust A Groove 2

"Great game, but it could've been better."

When I first saw this game at my local Babbages', I knew I had found what I was looking for. I still do not know if that was it.

I remember borrowing the first Bust-a-Groove from my friend. That game was REALLY hard to work with,(in my opinion) but the songs were great. In the second one, it's totally vise-versa. It's pretty easy to pull off long string of combos, even on the ''Mix'' mode. The levels are cool, the characters are cool (some are just weird though <cough cough> Pander <cough cough>), but...the music is a little on the short side. I mean come on, they could've done better than that. I was terribly disappointed when I heard that Heat's music (him being my favorite character) had been changed from his original rap-type song to this disco-type song. I WANT TO GET A BLOOD RUSH!!!!!! I WANNA LISTEN TO SOME HIP SONGS!!!! The only good ones, in my opinion, are Strike's and Bi-o's. Now, if you want a SERIOUS blood rush, Bi-o has you covered. I think there should've been more songs like that. But, unfortunatly, they're all love-type songs (or at least, most are).

Don't get me wrong, the game is great, but they could've done better. It would be neat if they had some modes like, Create-a-Dancer, or Create-a-Background. Or even allow you to pop in a music CD to play for the background music! Now that would be fun.

The good thing about this game though is that it has a rich cast of characters, some nice levels and special effects, and the hippest dance moves this side of the U.S. Are you feelin' it now? You will once you go out and buy it (and for $30, it's worth it!). So go out, buy it, and get ready to Bust-a-Groove. You'll love it. Trust me. You'll be dancing before you know it, and then you'll have all the chick hanging around you...or maybe, you'll be dancing before you know it, but you'll still be the low-hanging loser with no girl-friend you used to be. Either way, this game will bring you delight for months to come. So grab a friend, grab a beer, grab the controller, and DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY!!!!
