Galerians
Review by Mother Bird
"Galerians... A game that blows the old aged PS one graphics out of the water."
A game that makes N64 cry to it's mommy. Galerians is a new game that has killer graphics. No more blocky pictures, it's all real life from here. The game has mad FMV's that are so realistic, you will think you are in the game. Rion, a young boy, has woken, just to find out he doesn't know anything. What has happened to Rion? Who is Rion? Who are the Galerians and what do they want with you? You need to play this game to find out! The game is said to be like Resident Evil. It was influenced to be like it. So many things were influenced in the making of this game. Resident Evil, Final Fantasy, and even the movie The Crow! There is various reason's why I give this game a 10. It makes you think alot, and all the things that make up a game are not just in here, it's better then ever. Here's what I mean...
Controls: The controls aren't your average controlling. Only cry babies would stop after finding out the controls are different. They are unique and a new challange for the long time gamer. You have to turn, move forward, and everything else. It's like real life, You have to really TURN around to go in your opposite direction! Analogue isn't the best for this game, but it's really fun to learn the controls.
Graphics: Need I say more? For a PS one they are KILLER! I know there's a sort of a loading time for every room, but who cares? It's loading great graphics for you! Would you rather run through the whole game just to see poor graphics and a poor play, or would you wait the split second so you can have an awesome game play?
Story line: This is my shortest part. All I can say is, there's a surprise around every corner, so you will have to play in order to see everything.
Bosses: This is where you wake that little guy in your head called your brain up. You need to watch carefully for your bosses movements. If you lose the first time, it's expected, but they have a continue screen right after you fail to beat them. So you are free from game overs, and you can go on playing right at the boss!
Drugs: Yep, there are no weapons, but there is drugs. These are not your AVERAGE drugs, so don't get too worried. The drugs here are for your psychokinetic, pyrokinetic, and telepathic powers. There are 3 main drugs you use that you have to inject with a BeeJect. Nalcon, a green liquid that helps you do a pluse wave. Red, a (and you guessed it) red liquid that helps you do a fire blast. Lastly, D-felon, a blue liquid that helps you move bad guys with your mind and throw them around (Not useful for any flying bad guys.) Also there are Recovery Capsules, and I think they are explainable. Delmetor, that helps your AP go back down to zero. Skip, and other drugs that you will learn about in the first few seconds of the game. You can scan things and help you have clues on secrets and what happened to you in the past. Also you do something called short. When you short you basically, short circut. Your powers go berserk. You slow down to a slow walk and your HP lowers and you will die.
Replayability: When you re play, you get Super Short. While shorting, your HP lowers much slower and you can run (TRUST ME THIS IS A GREAT THING!)And if you get all the FMV's, you can get a special FMV for the game so if you missed any, it's a good thing to replay the game and get everything you missed before.
Overall: This game keep's you on the edge of your seat. Blood baths and bad guys are always hiding on every corner. Don't trust anyone!
